IPhone Upgrade to 2.0 never worked on my Dell Laptop
I wanted to let other users know that the iPhone Upgrade to 2.0 never worked on my Dell laptop. After trying it many times and restoring, I finally used a MacBook to install the upgrade. After doing this, I restored my iPhone settings and data with my Dell laptop.
BTW, I backed up on both laptop before the upgrade.
I had a similar issue when I upgraded last night to 2.0.1...everything went fine no issues last night that I could see...though I didn't make a single call until this morning after doing the upgrade...went to call in to work this morning and couldn't hear them they couldn't hear me and there was no sound whatsoever...turns out that somehow the 2.0.1 update caused my iPhone to go into a staus where it though it had my headphones in all the time...this resolved by following the information on this support document ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1630?viewlocale=en_US ) finally was a reset of the iPhone (step #7) that seemed to resolve it for me...you might want to try this too.

(Sorry, first time user of these forums, and it's confusing in it's own right)You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Everything I own (iPad, iPhone, mac) is set up on wi-fi. when i bring my work computer home (dell laptop), I cannot get it to keep the connection in a different room. All my other devices work.... does anybody know what i am doing wrong? please help!
Windows drivers for Intel wireless cards are known problematic.. If you have plenty of signal and it still cannot keep or hold the connection the issue can simply be the type of wireless.
Another problem is using names that windows does not easily handle.
eg If you set the TC using apple names, like
Fred Blog's Airport Time Capsule wireless24ad12
Then to windows this is too long.. it has spaces and it has illegal character.
Change all names on the TC to suit windows. Short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Also security must be suitable.. I have no idea how old or what OS your dell is, but if you still have issues.. pull off the security on the TC for a test.. if the computer suddenly works, it is not compatible with WPA2 AES. Make sure you also use a password that is mix upper and lower case plus numbers.. avoid special characters and make it 10-20 characters long say.. it is not required to be more than that unless you are paranoid. -
okay I will turn my iPhone 4 off then hook it up to my dell laptop in it will turn on but it will not charge and my computer wont install it on my computer can somebody help me please
yes it will charge otherwise places with the apdotor but when I put the just the wire in my pc it will not work it wont even be recognized by the cumputer (I know its not the wire because its chargeing now in a outlet ) iam try to reset it in the cp and itunes will not recognize it in the link did not help either

ITunes says it needs to upgrade but the download never works. What's wrong?
One day I got on iTunes to put some music on my iPod Nano (one of the older versions), and always before when I plugged it in and came up and said it was plugged in, but then it didn't recognize it! This went on for several months, me never being able to put more music on my iPod.
Finally I got the newest Nano for my birthday and I figured it'd work, but the same problem is going on! I've had the brand new iPod for 3 months and it doesn't have ANY music on it!
It does come up and ask if I want to download a newer version of iTunes, that it needs that one to work right (version 8.2 something I think). I go to download it, it takes a while, and then comes up and says the download was unsuccessful, I've tried about 30 times, and it never works.
What is going on?Instead of trying to update iTunes +from within iTunes+, go to Apple's page where you can download the iTunes 8.2.1 installation file -- save the file, don't run it direct from the download. Once downloaded to your computer, then run the installation file.
If that does not fix the problem, then remove the following software from your computer (you won't lose your music): iTunes, Quicktime, and something called "Apple Mobile Device Services". Once you remove those programs, then run the iTunes installer file (from above) again. That will install all three of these programs and should fix your problem. -
IPhone security copy in iCloud never worked

I bought my new iPhone 5 64 Gb in Dec 2012.
I've tried to make the security copy in iCloud several times but with no success, even following all Apple instructions such as:
Wifi connection properly functioning
Device connected to electrical source
Device turned Off
Can anyone of my iCommunitymates help me solve this problem?

Airtunes works on my Dell laptop but cuts out on my Toshiba laptop
I'm running Airtunes on my older Dell 9300 XP laptop with no issues. When I try to do the same on my new Toshiba Vista laptop I get intermitant pauses and cutouts. iPhone remote works perfect with the Dell also, but will lose its connection on the Toshiba. My wireless router is a 2Wire and the Airport express has the latest 7.4.2 firmware. I've updated and rolled back wireless drivers, changed wireless channels, moved closer and further from the router, all with the same results. Both computers are running the same firewalls and have iTunes version 8.2 installed.
I've heard rolling back to an earlier version of iTunes has helped some, but this is not an option because of the iPhone 3.0 software. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.A few more notes: iPhone remote will crash after connecting to the Toshiba for the first time. It will connect fine on the second attemp. If it (iPhone) looses it's network connection and reconnects it will no longer find the library on the Toshiba under Remote until iTune is restarted, then iTunes will not find the Airtunes speakers, one more iTunes restart and everything is found but the music pauses repeatedly. The Dell has none of these issues.

Right click the printer in System Prefences - Print & Scan and use Reset Printing System... and then reinstall the printer, should take less than 5 minutes. Here is a photo showing how to Reset Printing System....

Phonegap 'Build and Emulate' never works, tons of errors
DReamweaver and Phonegap no longer work for me either and I do have Phonegap 1.2.0
I'm not able to 'Build and Emulate' or 'Build' in Dreamweaver CS5.5 either. When I upgraded to ios5, it never worked again. Phonegap and Adobe are all about the dreamweaver integration and it doesn't work! Here is the Build Log Fail that I've been getting for 2 months:

It looks like the Brother MFC-3360 can only print/fax with a MacBook Pro which stinks that it cannot scan ( a function on the MFC that worked on my Dell laptop). Do i need to get another MFC that works with apple?! who faxes anymore? i need to scan and email the documents, not print and fax. this is a very unpleasant surprise.

I received a 27 LED apple/mac monitor --not the 2011/12 version though.
I want to use with my work computer--a dell laptop. I can't seem to find the right adaptor to connect the two.
I need a dvi port converter that also connects to my vga on my laptop (so need the male end of hte vga since my laptop has the female end).

I don't know what video card you have, but I just downloaded this porting kit for solaris8 intel. It work perfectly on my desktop Dell 4100. I think it will also work for the dell laptop. The porting kit is NOT XFree86; it only make use of the xfree86 drivers for solaris.
