Know someone if it works when i plug the iphone to the car audiosystem throu the Original USB cable like i conect an USB Stick with music?

Depends on your radio.
A thumbdrive or other non iPod devices really just store music like a drive. Thus the radio is made to read FAT32 (formatted drive) and search for audio files. But iPods (and the iPhone) don't work that way. The radio has to of been made to know how to work with iPods/iPhones. So really cannot answer you, you will have to try it out. Find a friend with an iPod or iPhone.

Hello, I downloaded an ntfs systemfile from tuxera and used it to convert a usb stick so I could put more than the fat32 4gb on, my Imac froze a while after so I turned it off the on and now I have blue vertical lines on boot up and the a white screen with lots of tine blue symbols after, mouse pointer moves but thats about it.
Have used R and cmd to get a menu up but once I choose one of the four options my mouse is rendered useless and I cant get any further, have downloaded, to another usb stick recovery disk assisstant and am trying to use that in conjunction with the lion option on the previously mentioned screen, computer was responding really slowly and has now frozen on the terms of software license agreement (maybe the last hurdle!) can anyone pleeeeeease help!!!!!??????

It's likely that the boot drive is failing, or that there's some other hardware fault. Run the Apple Hardware Test.

Even if the test is negative, you should make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested more thoroughly.

The camera connection kit can only be used to import photo/video files from a camera, SD card or USB flash drive. You can't import other types of files. You can't export any type of files using the camera connection kit.

my process just completed: here is what I see when it is done... (the first you saw in my earlier post. It took about 15-20 minutes.

1,1 running Lion with XP Boot (re-install and what should i use for recovery disk or usb stick)?

i am trying to give my 1,1 mac pro a little love and would like to keep this machine running lion. i also have a boot camp installation of XP on it.
1. can anyone give me instructions on how/whether i can basically do a fresh install of Lion on this machine and minimize the system so it is not cluttered up with all my previous software etc, etc while still maintaining the original XP boot camp partition which i really need to have?
2. can anyone clarify for me what i should have on hand /if/ i need to boot into recovery mode or some other safe boot mode? i recently ran into an issue where i may have had to use the old Disk Utility format function and there was a reference to booting using the DVD install disks. however i am really confused as to what i should have on hand. ALSO the last time i had to do something on this machine i was told to boot into the Recovery Partition and it appears for some reason (perhaps because i had a "non-standard" windows 7 boot camp installation on the drive at the time??) that there was no recovery partition created when i upgraded to Lion.
- /anyway/ i am finding that i have the two ORIGINAL install disks for the mac pro on hand, a Max OS X Leopard and a mac OS X Snow Leopard DVD on hand but i am thinking that i should be creating some kind of USB stick similar to the one i created with yosemite? actually, i am not even sure what this USB stick for yosemite is for but i guess i can use it to boot into safe mode or something?

You have to go out of your way to build the Installer Disk yourself. But this tool makes it easy, and this site contains instructions:

Yes. Both give you access to the Utilities that used to be on the Installer DVD. Disk Utility to Repair or initialize and a few other tools that can allow you to set up to install on an otherwise-bare disk or change your password.
is "Safe Mode" something completely different
Safe Mode is a way to start the fully-Installed Operating System in a special way. It first does one pass of Disk Utility (Repair Disk) against the Boot Drive. [Normally this would require booting from a different drive to make repairs.] Then it loads a minimal set of Apple-only kernel extensions, and uses a one-size-fits-all screen resolution. Then it demands your Username and password to proceed.
From there you can fix settings, use the Finder to add or delete things, and check operation with minimal extensions versus all your daily-use extensions. Very helpful for debugging extension conflicts and graphics settings problems, and fixing damaged settings. The next Restart builds a new extensions cache.

I've had three phones now all of which are stated as brand new but there is speculation that
refurb units have a different serial number starting with 5k or 9k - a friend of mine has >this on his replacement after he smashed his screen.
I'm interested that the refurb units have serial # starting 5K or 9K.
Mine is exchanged iPhone 3GS, and its serial # (you can see it in Settings>General>Information>Serial Number) is starting with 5K!!!
Now, I have three questions...:
* do you know how the BRAND NEW iPhone 4's serial # starts?
(I heard Brand New 3GS's serial starts with 88 but I'm not sure...)
* when you exchange your fault iPhone in the Apple Store, can you ask "Hey, I want a brand new one not the rehurb one. Can I check the serial #?"
* the serial number appears in the software screen (Setting menu), and it appears in the black box that contains brand new iPhone that you buy. But how about the brown box that contains the iPhone you get the exchanged one? Can you see / check the serial # too?

After waking from sleep, iMac doesn't like my USB stick...

This is a problem that I consistently have with my iMac which is driving me nuts. When I'm at home, I leave my USB stick plugged into the iMac. Many times during the evening my iMac will go to sleep and wake up. If I try to access my USB drive at any time after the iMac has woken up, Finder freezes up and refuses to do anything, even if I force quit it. I end up having to unplug my USB stick from the iMac, which causes Finder to delete the desktop icons and throw an error message about "safely" removing the device in the future. If I plug the USB stick back in, it shows up and works just fine.
Does anyone else get this problem? I'm on an iMac 24", OS X 10.4.8, and the USB stick is a SanDisk mini Cruzer 1 GB.

This has been a problem with the Mini Cruzer for a long time. The only solution is to eject the drive before letting your Mac sleep, or purchasing a different drive. The last I read on this subject was that the Mini Cruzer does not recognize the Mac sleep settings properly and that San disk has no plans to resolve the issue.

DVD drive appearing like a USB stick

Hi All,
Something slightly weird I noticed since I reinstalled windows 7... my DVD drive now seems to appear on the Task bar tray icons list with an icon saying 'safely remove hardware' as if I'd put a USB stick into one of the ports.
When I right click on that it says Eject HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT33N...
Never seen this before. Anyone know what's going on...?

Mine does that. It probably didn't show up previously because Power Manager was powering off the drive after a while of inactivity.

E4200 making my PC beep .... sounds like a USB stick

I installed a new E4200 just fine. It works and the wireless components talk to it well.
My PC is hard wired (ethernet) to it. And my PC beeps a lot.
It is the sound of a USB stick being plugged in then ejected.
This happens if the wireless units (laptop, phone, media player, and iTouch) are on or off.
Any ideas why?

Go to 192.168.1.1 and enter in your router's password (default is admin if you haven't changed it), then go to wireless--> guest access, and you should find it.

After updating my iphone, I'm stuck with an image of a USB port and iTunes icon on my phone which I can not get rid of to reset or restart my phone. I plug my phone into my laptop to connect to itunes and my phone does not appear in itunes!!!! I have tried to reinstall itunes on my laptop, I have tried to reset my iphone, I have tried to stop and restart, and I have tried to stop and start apple mobile devise service on my laptop.... None have resolved the issue!!!! Any suggestions????

If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

IPhone use with Goflex Satellite

Hi guys,
I recently bought a goflex satellite hard drive so i can use it as backup and storage disk for my mac 13" retina and veiw movies on iPhone that i'll download from mac. I formatted it as the mac said that it has to formatted before to be used as backup disk. Now i'm a little worried about viewing movies on iPhone that i'll download from mac then transfer them to my wireless goflex satellite. The question is will i be able to view movies on iPhone now?....as i have formatted it for use and movies are currently being downloaded in it.
Please help me with this as i bought 128GB model mac so i could get 500GB for $199 as in case 256GB was $400 more expensive.

On my iPhone I still have this old email address and I can not log into
iTune store because my new password does not works my old email address anymore. On my PC I have the new email address which is working well, an I can log in here.

The "free" part makes this a difficult question..
LabVIEW DSC has a whole suite of industrial images (See Tools>>Datalogging & Supervisory Control Module>>Image Navigator..). However, it's not free.
You may want to search the Net for some free images. reichard.com may have some free samples as well.

To the best of my knowledge, Sprint will only unlock phones for international GSM roaming. Call Sprint for verification. Sprint phones will not work on Verizon's network.
