IPhone volume not working and showing "Headphones"
When I try to change the volume on my iPhone it shows "Headphones" even if they're not plugged or connected via Bluetooth (I'm sure there's nothing connected) and behaves accordingly (e. g. playing audio only when there is a phone call). With headphones plugged in it works fine, playing normal audio on the headphones and phone call ringtone on the headphones and on the iPhone speaker.
I'm noticing this since I opened a game called "Dark Echo", that I've played only with headphones, without using headphones. The game says in the title screen "Headphones recommended". I don't know if this is the cause. I'm also pretty sure it isn't a hardware problem caused by dropping food or liquids on the headphone jack because the area around the jack is clean.
I tried restarting the phone, deleting the game, reinstalling the game, cleaning the jack gently with a microfiber cloth, plugging and unplugging headphones, blowing in the jack, playing media and changing the sounds and music settings.
My hypotheses are that it is an iOS 8.2 problem, a problem of the game or a hardware problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue and how can I resolve it?
I resolved this issue by cleaning the jack with a microfiber cloth, blowing and plugging and unplughing headphones again.

hopelessIf you didn't back up the phone to iCloud or iTunes (on your computer) BEFORE attempting the update, the data will be lost.

GO to Setting > Cellar Data > VPN Settings > Add any user and password under Personal Hotspot, then you will see it's activated again as usual

Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to rest the passcode during this process:
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. My iphone touchscreen stopped working around two days ago, so I cannot input my passcode. I am trying to backup my most recent photos as I have been on a trip abroad to phuket the past week, and got back home but did not have time to move my photos from that trip onto my mac before the touchscreen stopped working. I have a problem because I backed up my iphone last around a month ago, but have changed my passcode since so my iphone is not allowing me to back up onto my mac through itunes. I wish I at least hadn't changed the passcode, or had my photos on icloud, but I have so many photos that the icloud storage would cost so much for me to keep them updated.. I am so frustrated right now as it's not that I have forgot my passcode, or that I don't know it at all, but I know it. I wish there was a software that I could use on my mac to enter the passcode or something. Is there a way I could do something about it?!So you are not using Photo Stream? If you are, then you can turn on Photo Stream on iCloud on your Mac, and then go to iPhoto or Aperture and the Photo Stream will show under "Web" in the sidebar.
You can also set up your iPhoto or Aperture preferences to automatically import your Photo Stream, so any photos you take with your iPhone camera will upload and import automatically and will show under events, broken into monthly groupings.
Photo Stream does not use any of your iCloud storage.

One other thing concerning your Touch Screen. Have you tried resetting your device (nothing will be lost) to see if that will get your Touch Screen working again: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays see if your Touch Screen is working.

I have an iphone 4S, yesterday i shut it down to restart it,, i tried to turn it on, but it keeps on the black screen with apple mark,, then it shuts off,, and starts again on black screen and apple mark and shuts down.. whats the problem..? i tried to put it in restore mode and i cant ! its not working !
Place the phone in DFU mode (search google) and restore. If this fails to work, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

If your system is unstable, you should consider restoring your device through itunes to get a fresh version of the operating system.
If your auto-brightness isn't working, it's possible that there is an issue with your phone's ambient light sensor which is hardware and not affected by an iOS update
Are you using a case? if so, it's possible that you're using one that was made for an iPhone 4 instead of a 4S which has an ambient light sensor that is a few millimeters to the left, so some iPhone 4 cases could cover it slightly, causing the ambient light sensor to not work as affectively -
Iphone 5 - Not working and usual options are not correcting the issue
My iPhone 5 will not start. I have tried many options listed on this site, however I have been unsuccesful in resolving the issue myself.
This is an issue that I had last May, which resolved itself after 2 or 3 weeks. I was discussing this with Apple support but got no answer on how to fix it. As it 'self fixed' (i.e. I did not do anything new that I was not trying for 2-3 weeks already and the phone just began operating normally) I guessed it was fixed so I stopped looking for a solution to a problem that did not exist any more.
However, the problem started again last week.
That is to say, the iphone powered down and could not be restarted immediately. I used the 'hard start' option which worked a couple of times, but now it will not restart. During an 'up' period, I upgraded the software to the lastest public release thinking that this might help. However, it has not.
Now, I only get a visual of the USB cord and a message to connect to itunes. When I connect to itunes it does not recognize the phone but does recognize that there is a software error. When I try to restore, it does not work as it brings me back to the error message.
Anyone any ideas? I am trying to organise the final pieces of my wedding in 6 weeks and I really need the phone to work right now! I will be contacting apple directly in the mean time, but if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful.

Iphone 5 not working and giving itunes connect logo
I just bought iphone 5 2 days before from a local shop here , yesterday it was working fine specially that i just was installing apps on it but when i woke up today morning it was switched off I was thinking the battery was dead but I was little confused because i remember that it was having charge already.
anyway when i connect it still not working only giving me apple logo going and coming then it giving itunes connect logo when i just try to open
didn't work in the computer so i just uninstall itunes and re install it. it gave me that the iphone need to be restored and staying more than an hour and nothing happened then i am just trying again now and still waiting ....
I want to know why this happened and what it means ? does it mean that the iphone not good and better to give it back to the shop ??

In the left column click on power, under battery check if is charging, health, cycles Apple claims 1000 cycles, but maybe your's is not happy and might need to replaced.Look at the numbers and see if anything looks way off. My battery is chargered, so the power supply says no for charging.
