Iphone volume very loud on receiving end?

When I am talking to people they mention that the volume is very loud at their end. It sounds like I am talking very loud to them from my iphone. It does help if I do not place my mouth so close to the iphone when I am talking into it. Has anyone else noticed this?
Reception is very good at my end. It's the receiving end that I am questioning. The reception is good at the receiving end it just seems like I am talking very loud to them.

I've had no complaints.

  • Why can I not turn the volume very loud when using headphones?

When I play music back the volume is not very loud, I have put the volume to the high setting but not very loud. Can any one help?-

Hi, I have some questions in tha case before we can decide whats wrong
    1) Is it happening with particular song? - if yes then its an issue with song
    2) is it with all songs( check head phones with other player or so it might be faulty)
    3) Is there any volume limit (lock) set on your ipod
if head phones are fine and if it happens with all songs and if same songs play with good sound on computer you might need to restore your ipod and reupdate the songs may be an issue with ipod but if all songs play with similar kind of sound on computer your ipod should be ok as it might be the sound quality of those songs

  • Iphone 6 facetime - volume low on receiving end

iphone 6 facetime issue: low volume on receiving end.
I can hear the other person loud and clear. The receiving end can barely hear me.
Other apps like Skype is fine.

    Hi dragon eye,
Did you follow the troubleshooting steps in that article?
Follow these steps, testing after each with Voice Memos.
Unplug anything plugged into the headset jack.
If you're on a call and holding your phone next to your ear, speak into the microphone and make sure you don't block it with your fingers or shoulder.
If you're using a screen protector or case that covers the microphone, remove it. Clear any debris from the microphones.
    Restart your device.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
If you've tried these steps and people still can't hear you well on calls, contact Apple Support.
If your voice is too faint or sounds unclear using iPhone, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    Take care,
    Alex H.

Most intelligent people would simply turn the volume up.  Have you tried that?

  • Very Loud Static on iPhone

I have been unable to find any help anywhere for this, so hopefully somebody here can help.
When talking on the iphone, I experience short bursts of very loud static/white noise, sounding almost as if the other person were driving down the highway with all their windows down. I've determined that the static is coming from my phone, and the other person does not experience it. The static cuts out while the other person speaks, but cuts back in when they are silent. It happens whether I use the apple headphones or just the iphone, as-is. It's real frustrating.
Has anybody had a similar problem and been able to fix it?
    Thanks

Hey Ride1992, the reset seems to have taken care of the problem. It's been about two days, and I haven't experienced the static problem. Thanks for the help

  • Very loud Static when first making or receiving a call

I am getting a Very loud Static (screeching sound) when first making or receiving a call 90% of the time.  Most of the time if I move the slider to a different position it will quit.  Other times I just have to call back.  Anyone having this problem?  Any solutions?

    This question was solved.

Have you made a call with the slider closed? If the issue still happens it could be a loose wire or connection, or a network problem since it only when making the first call.
I would take the device into the sprint store and have them do a network reprovision of the device. The network reprovision is a process where they delete the account on the network side and set it back up on the network side and program the phone with the new settings. If that does not resolve the issue then you can have the device warranty replaced right there at the sprint store.

If you need to use the phone now, try using speaker phone until you can take it to an Apple store and have them further look into the problem.

So even if I just ask to pay them to replace the lock button they won't because my screens are third-party?
Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement.  They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device.  Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now.  They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original.

  • My headphone audio output on imac makes a very loud low freg buzzing sound.

I have my Imac hooked up to my home studio for recording music. It is currently hooked up to my high quality rane mixer, which has superior sound quality. But for some reason every time I plug a cord into the headphone jack to my mixer, TV or anything else from the Imac headphone jack, it comes out with a very loud low frequency humming/buzzing noise even on very low volume settings, even with the bass turned all the way down. It is extremely annoying. Does anyone else have this problem? I would expect a little more from apple products. Especially with something simple like this, since these machines are mostly designed for video/audio production. . I have tried switching my cords around and changing my setup for months now. No luck. And, no, my imac does not have an optical out and I think that would probably solve the whole problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Do you have your recording equipment isolated from the computer equipment? These buzzes and rumbles are usually easily solved by making sure that your audio equipment is plugged into a different electrical circuit than the iMac.
However, yes your iMac does indeed have digital audio. I do not know of an Intel model that does not have digital audio. The audio ports do both analog and digital audio. To use digital audio you need a Toslink cable with a miniplug adapter on the iMac end of the cable.

  • IPhone volume - the roundabout answer

It's obvious what's going on here re iPhone volume. Have talked to 4 different Apple techs over the last 4 days, 2 of which said they never heard of the problem, another who admitted that it's a known issue within Apple, and another who very uncomfortably told me that they are not allowed to talk about whether or not this a a real problem with a sizeable number of iPhones. I put it another way to him and said, "Well, can you at least tell me that I won't be wasting my time if I take both my wife's and my iPhone down to the Apple Store for replacements?" He said that he'd make the call to my local store to set up the appointment. There you go.

Why do you waste so much time thinking about what you should do...If you think its a problem just return it...Many people have reported that thier volumes are too low...Problem is your most likely coming from a regular cell phone and used to really load volumes...This is more of a software issue than hardware...The ole treo sound was really low and someone put out a software app that boosted it 10 fold....There is nothing wrong with your phon!!!! If you return the phone you might have more issues with another along with having the same volume issue...
My phones volume is great and I often turn mine down...The ringers could be louder but that can be resolved with software....Im betting if you return it your new one will have same issues

  • IPhone Volume slider goes wonky after charging!

Ok; I have a WEIRD question. (then again, when isn't a tech question weird? Nevermind.)
So, I have a completely babied iPhone 3GS. Never fallen even an inch, been in a case since I got it, I even clean the screen. :3 I have iTunes 9.0.1.8, and a Griffin wall charger/adapter that I bought about 2 years ago when I got my older iPod. That's what I use (in conjunction with the new cord I got with my iPhone a few months ago) to charge it. Now my question: (and yes, all this was relevant!) It would appear that my iPhone's volume control on its iPod (not on other audio apps such as Pandora or Youtube, only iPod) goes ABSOLUTELY WONKY after charging it on this wall charger. Nothing else breaks, it all works normally, even plays normally, except the volume slider bounces around like it's on drugs and sticks to a very loud place on the slider. In addition, while it's plugged into this charger and ONLY while plugged in, the whole screen's touch sensitivity goes weird, too. It thinks my finger is somewhere other than where it is. It registers a touch an inch below where my fingertip really is on the screen & is unresponsive at random. This is fixed by unplugging it from the charger.
The volume slider is fixed by plugging in & syncing the phone with my computer (using an older iPod cord: I have way too many so I use one for the computer & the newer one for the charger), but then it promptly goes back to broken after I plug it into the wall charger for a couple hours. I've never used a car charger on it (heard that's bad). It's not practical for me to open my laptop every time I wanna charge this guy; should I use a different wall adaptor? Is an old Griffin adaptor not good for iPhone? (btw: I can manually move the volume down with the button on the side of the phone, but the slider on-screen doesn't show the difference; I just hear less volume.)
Many thanks, and best of luck (all of us dealing with technology need it)!

Got the same problem... but I'm using only original hardware. The problem with the volume control is only appearing when using the Ipod (on the Iphone). The volume control on the Youtube App for example is working fine. Also it is only the volume control on the touch screen and not the hardware volume control button. The screen volume controller sticks to a certain level and when trying to move it, it follows my finger but jumps back to its initial position as soon as my finger is no more touching the screen. Furthermore the indicated volume on the screen does not correspond to the real volume level. I.e. I can turn up the volume on the hardware volume controller as much as possible and the screen volume controller stays at the same position...
I am not using any of the mentionned apps!? However I got quite a lot of apps so it is possible thant one of them is causing the problem. Does anyone have a list of all apps that are causing this problem?
Btw: I am using the new 3GS with the latest software on both Iphone and iTunes..
    Thank you!
