Iphone wifi problem|CHN,SH|131002|

Hello,Apple.
My friend bought a iphone5 in USA last December . Yesterday  I can not use Wifi on this phone, The wifi can search the signal, but it can not add in.Only when I am very close to, wifi  can be added in.  I tried every thing for my iphone. so I think it maybe a hardware problem.
But I am living in Shanghai,China. I can not get a normal warranty in Apple China.
So can you give me a solution?
IPHONE 5, WHITE ,16GB
MD294LL/A
MODEL A1428
Serial No.  DNQJTZYLDTTP
IMEI/MEID 03430002771453
IOS 6.0.1
Best regards

Apple provides service through its own stores, and thorough authorized resellers. If you purchased it from an authorized reseller they are obligated to repair it under warranty, as long as it isn't jailbroken or hacked. If you didn't buy it from an authorized reseller then Apple has no obligation to fix it, but a reputable store would still repair it for you. It sounds like you may have a "grey market" phone. The problem with grey market is there may be no meaningful warranty.

It should connect properly with your iPad mini, but it requires an App.  Also mentioned on Garmins' site.

  • IPhone WiFi Problem

I cannot get my IPHONE to access the internet via WiFi from home. Hot Spots work fine. I have updated the firmware on my Linksys router and talked with tech support from Cox (my ISP) and Linksys in India. The WiFi on the IPHONE does connect to the router and can connect to a web server on my LAN but I cannot access the Internet.
Apple tech support thinks it's the router, Linksys thinks it's the Cable Modem and Cox says it can't be them. I have disabled all encryption and all house computers connect as well as a WiFi HP IPAQ. I have even tried a Motorola router with no success. Anyone have any Ideas?

Had the same problem....maybe this can help...

  • IPhone Wifi problems and Warranty Query.

    Hi there,
I've been having serious trouble with my iPhone, the problem is that it won't pick up a wifi signal unless I hold the phone literally a foot away from the router (I've tried this with 3/4 routers I've had access to).
I've tried restoring the iPhone as well as trying all the fixes mentioned in the Apple article regarding the issue such as resetting network settings, etc.
I phoned Apple and they said that seeing my iPhone was purchased in Spain that they can't fix it here in the U.K. I thought this was diabolical considering that the warranty is a worldwide one, or at least I thought that it was.
Could someone clarify this issue as I find it hard to believe that an international company would have such localised policies regarding warranty validity.

While most Apple warranties are world wide, the iPhone warranty can only be used in the country where the iPhone was originally sold:
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/service/faq/#repair2
+Can I get my iPhone serviced outside the country of purchase?+
+No, service for eligible repairs is only available in the country where your iPhone was originally purchased.+
If you want it replaced, you will have to deal with Apple's departments in Spain.

  • I solved my Iphone Wifi Problems

Since upgrading to 3.0, I had been unable to connect to the internet using my home wifi access point. The interesting part was that I could connect to the wifi network and interact with the other computers in the network, I just couldn't connect to the internet (all other wifi devices in the network could connect to the internet). After trying everything, it occured to me to change the DNS in the iphone to my router's IP address (given that the router already knows the ISP's DNS address). For some reason, this worked. I now have excellent connectivity to the internet, as well as access to all other devices in the network. I hope this works for someone else.
PS. You need to use static IP configuration for this to work. Also, my wifi is WEP encrypted.

Hopefully you're on to a possible solution for those with fixed ip addresses, us lesser mortals will have to sit tight and wait for the guys with the "it just works" slogan to pull there fingers out and rectify the 3.0 firmware upgrade that's killed everyones wifi.
Why is it not one wifi issue on the forum has had a genuine Apple reply?
I'm disgusted at their lack of acknowledgment of the problem they've created!
I might buy another mobile with Windows on it, actually things aren't that bad just yet but close.

My iPhone Wifi is greyed out.
In Uruguay in Cellular Center (+598 2 903 3333) that is where I buyed it told me it has no solution, it´s a problem of hardware accepted by Apple, that Apple change the phone in this cases, but that they can´t change it by another new one because their warrantee is 3 months and I bought in december, 2012. It cost me US$ 1,250 and I want a solution because I saw in the Apple web that iPhone warrantee is 1 year and I am still covered by it.
I have the invoice dated December 24, 2012.
Do you have any solution to my problem?
It is hard to believe that a so expensive iPhone has a life of 6 months.
Do I need to take my iPhone to anywhere they can solve its problem?
    Thank you so much.

  • IPhone wifi-network problem- Please Help!

I have a problem with my iPhone4. It could only connect to the internet for a couple of minute then it dropped off. But it is still connect to the wifi though and in my Mac the wifi seem to be working fine. Any ideas?

    first start here
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/wifi/
    If that doesn't help then
Restore as new, if wifi  works add your backup and proceed .If after backup issue returns
Then you have a corrupt backup
If when restored as new no wifi then you probably have hardware issue and should take it to an Apple Store genius bar

Tap Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. See if fixed. If still problem, Restore iPhone with iTunes 10.7 on computer. See if fixed. If still problem and there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

  • WiFi problem ipad Mini & iphone

Since updating to iOS 7.0.3 (and then to 7.0.4), my ipad mini often has not been able to access wifi.  While the wifi icon is still showing a strong connection, the network activity icon just goes around in circles.  Sometimes there's a message that it cannot connect to the server.  This also happens to my iphone 4, less frequently and not at the same time.
When I power off and restart the device, sometimes wifi works properly again, sometimes not - but it always shows the wifi icon as working.  i have tried different things like closing all open apps.
There is no problem with my network or my wifi connection.  Both of these devices worked flawlessly until iOS 7.0.3.  Anyone else having the same problem?

Nope, no WiFi problems with either iOS 7.0.3 or 7.0.4 on an iPhone 5, an iPad 3 and an iPad 4.
