IPhone will not connect to iTunes after ios 7.1.2 update

I was updating my iPhone 4s to the new software update (ios 7.1.2) and my computer fell asleep. My iPhone now is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and when I plug it into my PC iTunes will not connect to it.
I've tried putting it into recovery mode (won't allow me to slide to power off), and I've tried iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
I've also tried rebooting my computer, updating iTunes and enter DFU and Recovery modes
When plugged in my device manager recognizes that an apple device is plugged in that is in recovery mode....
I'm trying to back up my phone while it has the most recent software so I can transfer it onto my new 5s
Please help!!

Windows 7

You've tried the following procedure?
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
If this still doesn't work, you should make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have your device evaluated.

The other day I updated Itunes to 11.1. After doing so my Iphone would not connect to itunes, although it is being recognized by my computer. I have done everything that has been suggested to other users with no luck. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you try to connect to another computer?
DFU mode would be the last thing to try before contacting Apple Support or visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store.

Phone will not connect with iTunes, but will connect with the computer, which is window's 7...What do I do? I've done it before but I really can't remember how I did it!

  • My iphone will not connect to itunes

My iphone will not connect to itunes

There are some things you should verify:
1-Is your cable genuine, or can it handle sync?
2-If the answer above is yes, verify if it isn't broken. Try another cable anyway.
3-Is your usb port working with other devices such as pendrives?
4-Is your iphone connecting to other computers?
5-If possible, do not connect your iphone to a hub.
If the problem is not above, then it's not a hardware problem, but there are a few alternatives you could try:
    1-Update iTunes to latest version
2-Reboot iPhone (press home+power button for 10 seconds until the screen goes black, then turn it back on)
3-Full-Cycle charge your iPhone (from 20% or lower to 100%)
4-If you have windows, unninstall iTunes and install it again
5-See if any other program in your computer is using the iPhone (such as iFunBox)
Let me know if none of these solutions work

  • Iphone will not synch with itunes after downloading most recent itunes version

I updated to most recent version of itunes and since then my 3GS iphone will not synch with itunes. the phone is recognized by my windows computer but not recognized within itunes. I redownloaded itunes and Q but nothing.  Can anyone help?

I have a Dell XPS 8500 with a 64bit i5 Processor and an Apple 4s and I have the same problem.  I have been searching for days and can only get the phone recoginzed by disabling power to USB ports and there is no way I can get ITunes to show devices, so I can't see the IPhone.  People say Apple monitors these sites but I haven't seen any response from a technical person. Have you?  My hunch is they know about the problem but don't have a fix, and have other priorities for their team. If my hunch is correct, its quite extraordinay because I am close to selling my 4s and getting some phone which is easier to work with. Time is my scarcest resource and I have devoted way too much of it to this issue.

  • Iphone will not connect to iTunes over wi-Fi

My iPhone will not update when i make changes in Outlook or connect to iTunes wirelessly.???

You will probably get better results if you post this question over in the iTunes forum.  Syncing with iTunes over wifi has nothing to do with iCloud.

  • My i-pod will not connect to itunes....i even updated the itunes

Just two weeks ago...everything was fine!.....I would plug my video i-pod in to my computer and it would say "mass storage device" blah blah blah...then my itunes would pop up and my i-pod would be there called "chelsee's i-pod"
Now when I plug it in...nothing happens.....it charges but will not connect to my i-tunes...or even say there is a Mass storage device.
PLease help me...could it be from upgradeing itunes??? or could I have done something wrong under the i-pod settings???

I am having the EXACT same problem, and for about the same amount of time... it is a 30GB video. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled all software. I plugged my ipod into my work laptop and it said "new device found- ipod" but i can't load any software onto that machine.

  • Iphone will not connect ot itunes store after 2.01 firmare update

Installed 2.01 firmware update and I can no longer connect to the apps store or to itunes store. this is a legit phone, not unlocked, I bought it 3 days ago at apple 5th ave and I'm set to Wifi signal not 3G. Anybody else having this problem???

I had this problem too. On further investigation I found that my phone would not connect to the internet via wifi. It showed that I was connected, but I couldn't update mail, weather, surf safari or access iTunes. I spent some time on the phone with Apple support and in the end the trick that worked was a reset of my router. Try powering it off for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. That made everything work again on my phone. Apple support suggested also updating my router firmware.

  • IPhone is not syncing with iTunes after iOS 7.1 update

I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2, and neither of them will sync my new music from iTunes after updating both of them to iOS 7.1.  When I press sync on my computer, the steps start at the top of iTunes, but then it just finishes before it actually starts writing the names of individual songs like it would normally do when syncing.  It is as there is no music to be synced but there is.  Please help!!
