IPhone will not connect to my wifi.

I cannot get my phone to connect to my own wifi connection. Had this phone since November with no problems, now all of a sudden it will not connect.
Try to reset, but it still will not connect. I am using the correct password. Any suggestions?

Hello Iterry, Wifi is definitley an important feature! You mentioned you tried a Reset which means you're defintiely on the right path! Elector provideda great link for troubleshooting the iPhone, as well! Let's try a few additional steps to make sure we get your Wifi connected. While there are many reset options for your iPhone 5C, we do recommend starting with a "Reset of Network Settings" to help in resolving Wifi connection concerns. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem is still not resolved, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
Verizon does not provide hardware support, taking the device to them would be a waste of time.

Is this a password protected network? Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. After that, try to connect again. This reset will remove all password and wifi information from the device and should give you a clean start to connect to the home network.

i have an iPhone 3G. i have had this phone for over a year. recently, this phone will not connect to my home or any other secure wifi network. ive tried 3 other iPhones on my network, and they all connect. i have turned off the security and it connects right up to the network.
i have taken several steps to reset my iPhone. i have restored it from an older backup, as well as restored it as a new device. does anyone have any other troubleshooting steps known.

Just got off the phone with support. I had previously reset network settings and did a hard reset with home button and top button. support told me to reset all settings and that seemed t have worked

For me after you set the network and password just turn off and then on wi-fi and all is well

I have purchased and downloaded onto my iPhone one album from the iTunes WiFi Store. Since then, I have been unable to connect to the iTunes WiFi store again. When I click on the "iTunes" icon on my phone, all I get is "Loading..." with the never-ending circle of death. But it never loads. Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know why I cannot connect?

I just had an interesting experience. I kept trying to buy a song from the David Crowder Band called Everything Glorious. The purchase would go though and it would tell me that it was going to be an iTunes Plus (or something like that) song (Higher Quality) I assume. It would begin to download and then stop.
After about 20 tried of different songs on that album I just tried another song by another artist. Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer and it worked fine as well as "Jesus take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. I went back and tried Everything Glorious by David Crowder band and it still didn't work.
I wonder if the problem is with downloading iTunes Plug songs?

Have you tried resetting the modem and wireless router by disconnecting the wireless router from the power source first followed by disconnecting the modem from the power source - waiting 5 minutes or so followed by reconnecting the modem to the power source allowing it to completely reset before reconnecting the router to the power source and allow it to completely reset with the modem before trying again?

Imac connects to time capsule through wifi but ipad and iphone will not connect

I just installed the new Airport Time Capsule. My Imac connects fine through wifi bit my ipad and iphone will not connect to the wifi. So I called apple support being fairly certain that I wasn't going to be able to fix this over the phone but essentially, it now works flawlessly with my iOS devices. Here is what I did.
I have a Motorola cable modem surfboard 6421.
I reset my network settings to dhcp and NAT from the default bridge only mode which the tech said only allows one device to connect at a time. Considering my MBA was already connected to the AE, that would explain why my other iOS devices wouldn't connect. After I changed the settings for the network to DHCP and NAT, the router restarted. I then disconnected the power and coaxial cable from the cable modem and reconnected it and once everything came back up, all devices connected fine. Good throughout and signal. Hope this helps.

When your device is trying to connect to the work Wi-Fi network, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then tap on the name of the Netowrk that she is having trouble with. Then tap on forget this network. Let the device attempt to connect again and make absolutely sure she is trying to connect to the work network and not a nearby network, then make absolutely sure the password is entered correctly.

Can your iPad sends iMessages, Facetime calls or something through the internet?
If yes, try to reset your network settings, double check the Restrictions settings, check the Safari settings...
If not, you have some problem with iinternet connection. Look at airplane mode is off, if your iPad recognizes WiFi connection or not, check the Restrictions settings, if other device also faces the same problem with internet connection
If still not working:
1. Go to the Settings App.
2. Tap on Wi-Fi
3. Your chosen network will be ticked. Tap on its white arrow over a blue circle button to its right
4. Tap on DNS
5. Replace the current information with 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4
6. Try visiting a website with Safari to see if this works.

Have you tryed to restore the iPhone too ?
Restore the phone in iTunes using a backup, and if needed as a new iPhone, without using a backup. However, the greyed out WiFi is often due to a hardware failure requiring replacement of the phone.

you have definitely tried the correct steps, all you would need to do now is a back up & restore to factory settings. If after that the issue remains then you would most likely need a replacement unit.

If you have restored your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup and as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup with no change, have you contacted O2? Your line may need to be reset by O2, which will involve turning your iPhone off whole O2 does the reset at the server, or possibly there is a problem with your SIM card.
