IPhone will not open attachements

I have 3 iPhone 4s that will not display attachements. I have tried .jpg,.xlxs,docx and it appears that the phone is not actually downloading the file. It has the solid border around the file name, but give an error message when I try open the file. 2 phones are on ios. 5.1 and the other is 5.0.1. I sent the file so that I would have to manually download the file and have the same results.
Anyone have any idea on why this is happening?

Ok - but yu actually have to read the instructions and follow them
reposted and numbered for ease of reading
1 - using the finder
2 - Go to your Pictures Folder and
3 - find the iPhoto Library there.
4 - Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and [this will open a menu that includes the "Show Package Contents" command]
5 - select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
6 = Look there for a file called ‘iPhoto’Lock.data or similar.
7 - Drag it to the Desktop. Make no other changes.
8 - Start iPhoto. Does that help?

I have no special software like numbers or anything else installed on either device. Just using the default viewer provided by apple for viewing email.

The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.
Is there anyone out there that is viewing .xls files in email using ios6 w/o any other software installed like numbers or any other add ons? I am not upgrading my ipad from ios5 to ios6 so I can still continue to view the emails on my ipad. Is there an email viewer .xls plug-in that will be availablle in the next ios6 update?

Spotify on iphone will not open

Spotify on iphone will not open.Yesterday it was working. Today it will not open. I checked my mac it still will works. Any solution?
I already deleted and installed it three times. I also shut down and restarted my iphone. But I still can not get Spotify to open. Thanks for help

So this is the fix finally. Forget the links
change your Region Format settings to USA.
iPhone/iPod Settings > General > International > Region Format > then change country
Obviously 17,000 posts and 5300 Kudos you know what you are talking about. . I don't understand why customer support at the company doesn't just come out and say the new app is screwed. Many others are having the same issue. Technical support is a joke it's a bunch of high school students cutting and pasting the same questions. Someone should have emailed this simple sentence above 2 days ago. Maybe its all ploy so that when Apple launches its streaming service Spotify will become the next Etoys or Netscape. Rodney-- you're unclear what exactly you did. If you encoded a dvd, your computer's dvd player SHOULD play it. Unless your pc doesn't HAVE a dvd player.
If you burned a data dvd of your fcp project, unless you have quicktime on your pc, you won't be able to play it.
Investigate flip4mac, which allows you to export wmv files.

IPhone will not open even after reinstallation

After importing some photo images from a CD and beginning to edit (red eyes) a few of them, *the iPhone hung up* with the spinning ball. So, I tried to close the application and even shut down the iMac without success. Eventually, I just shut down the iMac using the on/off switch in the back of the globe. After starting it up again, I tried to restart iPhone without success. Now iPhone just won't open up. I have tried the MacOS X disk utilities at least twice; and I have used DiskWarrior without impact. I have removed and reinstalled iPhone 4.0.1 from the iLife disk three times unsuccessfully. At this stage every time I try to start iPhone, the unpopulated iPhone screen [no images shown] appears then seems to time out and quit. I have a LaCie storage disk with pretty recent saves, including the iPhone and its library. But, when I tried to transfer that latest iPhone copy to the iMac, it would not seem to work. Anyone have useful ideas for me?

I was prompted to update Adobe, now I cannot open the file as an attachment in my outlook. Im running Windows 7 64 bit os. I tried to unistall/reinstall, same issue. Worked fine before the update.

What are you actually using? Is it Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader and what's the version of that product?

It's a word document but it is saying it cannot find an application to open it.

Just to check:
Do you have Word (or some other application that can open Word documents) installed on this Mac?
What happens if you download the document (e.g., to your Downloads folder) and double-click it there?
What happens if you open Word (or similar app) and try to open the document from within the application?
Other information that might turn out to be useful:
What year/model Mac Pro do you have?
What version of [Mac] OS X is it running?
What version(s) of Word (or similar app) is installed?

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone can give me advice in my iphone5 which I have just got. It was working fine till I (Reset All) but since then all I have got is the Apple Logo on a black screen, I cannot get into any settings as like I say all I have is the Apple Logo and nothing else, I went back to the shop and they said it may take a day but this is 3days ago and the Logo is still there, I cannot turn on or off either. nightmare please can anyone help.

Have you tried resetting your device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Give it a minute and the "Slide to Unlock" screen should redisplay.
Just curious - what "shop" did you get your advice from?

My iphone 4s on ios7 will not open or save ics email attachments so I can update my calendar. I have to open them on my PC and then iCloud will sync my updated calendar across all my devices with no problem. However, when I don't have access to my PC I would like to be able to open the ics calendar item (or save it) on my iPhone so I can see what meeting or conference I have been invited to so I can reply promptly and keep my calendar up to date without needing to wait till I have access to my PC.

The exact same thing described above is happening me too and by the looks of this and other forums, its happening alot of people.
I have tried restoring from new and a DFU restore and nothing works.
Think Apple need to own up that this is a real flaw with the iPhone 4 and offer a repair or recall.

I've been having an issue with my new iPhone 6+ that will not open any newly downloaded apps. They instantly close upon trying to open them. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know of a solution?
I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall all the apps giving me issues but this did not solve my issue. I am trying to prevent doing a full wipe of the phone so any help will be appreciated.

Conversations From Outlook 2013 in Native IOS7 IPhone 5S Will Not Open

I am using Outlook 2013 on my Windows 7 Laptop as my mail client. I have my work account attached as an account. I use the Conversation feature from within Outlook 2013. When I try to open those emails on my phone they will not open. They are denoted with a >>
The emails that are single threaded show up as > on the right side next to the time and I am able to open up and read those emails.
Is there some setting I am missing. I just switched to Iphone from using Android since its inception. I'm IT Savvy but Iphone dumb. Please help as it is annoying that I cannot open up those conversations/email on my phone.
Even sliding the mail and clicking on "more" does not do anything

Hi, Thank you so much for the info.... I really do appreciate it. We had the laptop updated by way of a system upgrade with RAM and an additional SSD drive. Once reconfigured all programs were reinstalled but Iphoto is not among them. Iphoto was on the laptop when purchased so we have no additional discs. Before the laptop was updated we backed the photos up to an extrenal hard drive so we have them, but cant access them. Could I purchase Iphoto 8 stll? Would this work? We would also require an external CD drive as we no longer have the disc drive in the laptop (I think the extra new bits took over). You may have noticed I have very limited knowledge on computers so any help dispite how simple it may sound to some would help me greatly. I just want all my photos back .... Thanks inadvance... Hope to hear soon x
