IPhone with w/pictures causes windows to crash

I have seen a lot on this topic but nothing seems to work for me.
IPhone 3G (8 gig)
Windows 7 OS
2 gig ram
IPhone OS 3.1.2
wasn't working then I deleted a zonet webcam and its related apps. I also deleted skype
I was able to start sync w/o crashing again.
I buy a new webcam (MS VX-5000), load it
load skype
load windows live messenger
I was then no longer able to sync IPhone as it crashed windows!
I un-installed everything I loaded
rebooted mult times
Still, unable to sync my IPhone.
This is crazy!
Any ideas?????

I have the same problem. I connect my iphone to my windows xp work laptop just to charge, not sync (Sync from macbook at home). I have been doing it for a month and no problems.
All of a sudden my computer won't even boot, just BSOD almost immediately, cannot load windows. I didn't think it was the phone but then I was using my coworkers laptop and put my iphone in to charge. When I gave it back to her, the next time she tried to boot she had the same problem as me.
Could the Iphone really cause such a massive failure?
These dells don't even have webcams.

Video Drivers in Windows 7 64 bit cause Windows to crash after reboot

I have a Mac Mini mid 2011, I installed Windows 7 64 bit through Bootcamp. After the install I install the Mac drivers. I have narrowed it down to the video card drivers are causing Windows to crash on reboot. Are there other drivers I can use? Am I doing something wrong?

if your trackpad somehow was registered as actived for some reason it would seem as if it was the mouse

IPhone causes Windows to crash immediately when Camera app is on...

I sync my iPhone with two computers: an iMac for music, videos & photos, and my Dell Inspiron D860 running Windows XP for my work e-mail, contacts, and calendar.
If I have taken a photo with the iPhone and either leave my iPhone in Camera mode, or have even left any photos in the "Camera Roll" album in the Photos app, then my Windows PC crashes immediately when I hook the camera up for a sync. As soon as the USB cable makes a connection, I get an instant blue screen: informing me of a BIOS memory error and a message saying that Windows is shutting down to prevent further damage. So, I disconnect the iPhone and reboot the computer.
However, if I delete any images in the Camera Roll album of Photos and make sure that the iPhone is not running Camera when I plug it in, I can sync between the iPhone and iTunes on Windows XP flawlessly.
The irony here is that I have left the sync Photos box unchecked in iTunes on the Dell running XP. So, technically, nothing in the Camera or Photos apps on my iPhone should even be communicating with software on the XP system.
Have other folks experienced this problem? If not, perhaps I'm doing something wrong and would appreciate any insights!!

I finally nailed it.
i have a Acer Aspire notebook with orbicam and i had the latest driver from ACER but still had some problems on XP but deleted everything (Orbicam drivers and camera utility from Control Panel) also i verified that everything was gone in MY PC / Properties / Hardware / Device Manager / Imaging Devices (if not, uninstall the Orbicam from there.
then i restarted my computer and installed Logitech Quickcam utility version 10.5 from logitech site (from the Quickcam 4000) that i previously downloaded, everything went ok.. i restarted again my computer and my camera worked perfecty and also i was able to connect my iphone with photos in camera roll and XP detected it normally without any trouble. The only thing that came out after doing this is that my Orbicam appears in the SAFE DEVICE REMOVAL UTILITY right next to the other utility icons and the clock. i will try to solve this and post any coments.
I hope this info is useful for others like me with this issue.

Syncing iPhone with Outlook 2007 after hard drive crash.

I recently had a hard drive crash. We were able to retrieve the .pst files for Outlook 2007 and I sync my iPhone with Outlook for contacts, calendar and such for business. The iPhone of course, was not affected. I downloaded iTunes on the new hard drive, and backed up the phone. (I sync music and apps on my husband's laptop.)
Now, in trying to sync, though, I get a lot of nebulous messages that really don't explain what the outcome will be.
Box says:
The information on the iPhone "Susan's iPhone" is synced with another user account. Do you want to sync this iPhone with the information from this user account instead?
(Choices: "Merge Info mergest th einformation on this iPhone with the information from this user account. OR "Replace Info" replaces the information on this iPhone with the information from this user account. )
My best guess would be 'Merge info" but then, will I end up with double everything? I have many hundreds of contacts and years of calendars.
It seems with Apple I'm always cleaning up one mess after another. Today when installing iTunes, it corrupted my Outlook and I had to repair Outlook. So it would be a nightmare to have double of everything on my phone and on my computer.
Does anyone have a clue as to what to expect?

On a PC with Windows or with Paralels iTunes 8.2 has an option for Outlook which works with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 (if it works - see my post on a case where it doesn't ...)

Emzdecmp4_h263.dll causes windows explorer crash

When browsing folders with video files in windows explorer, a crash occurs.

If I unregister this file, the problems stops.

GP login script causes windows to crash

We have a script that runs on all computers that opens our intranet. This script crashed Windows build 9926 overtime. Is there any way to fix this. Also I can't install the new build because the HP printers update fails everytime.

How did you determined that it is the script caused this problem? If this problem caused by the script indeed, what't the function of this script?
For HP printer problem, it's probably a driver compatibility with new system problem, it would be better to contact HP support to confirm this issue.

Can I sync my iPhone with a Nextbook using windows 8?

I haven't bought the Nextbook yet but am planing on it soon. I need to know how compatible it will be with my iPhone and my macbook. I need to move music and pictures from the Mac to the Nextbook and am not sure if it's even possible.

As long as it is running full Windows 8.1 (and not the RT edition of Windows as found on Microsoft's Surface and Surface 2 tablets) then it should be capable of running iTunes. I would be wary, though, that tablets - especially lower cost ones - may not have sufficient processing power, memory, or internal storage to make using iTunes a pleasant experience. Even on some netbooks (generally faster/more memory/more storage than tablets) iTunes can be frustratingly slow, especially if you're running other applications at the same time.
Unless someone here can provide positive feedback I'd suggest that you try and find someone who has installed iTunes on the same model of tablet that you're looking at and see what their comments are.

Update to iPhone OS 4.2 causes iTunes to crash mid-download?

I recently tried to update my iPhone 4 to the latest software version 4.2
It said that my iTunes was out of date and that i needed to upgrade to version 10.1. Which i did.
Once that was done i plugged my iphone in and tried to upgrade the software only to have itunes crash mid-download.
I've tried several times over the last few weeks and every time, iTunes encounters a problem and has to close...always during the downlaoding of the update.
Can anyone help?

First off, try it with another user account, (no you won't lose all your music - you don't want to sync, just update). If that didn't work then I would see if I knew someone with an iP4 and ask them if I can copy the ipsw file to the correct location. Use that and start iTunes again.
ps the second method is one that I assume works as I've done it with an iPod before.

Importing video from hard drive causes windows to crash

Whenever I try to add video files to itunes either itunes freezes or windows crashes. I've tried comepletely reinstalling itunes and Quicktime as well as using selective configuration on startup but still keeps happening. Any suggestions?

Hmmm. I installed the new driver but still no go. After I install and startup again I get notices that new hardware has been detected (video something, VGA compliant...) and Windows prompts me to install the correct drivers. I tried iTunes before and after accepting this prompt for another driver but always the same.
After starting up again and before accepting the Windows prompt I checked the Device Manager and there was a yellow question mark beside a VGA device (not sure if I remember this correctly) which hadn't appeared in the list before. After accepting the prompt this device disappeared.
And ideas where to turn next?

Creating a report with a Picture in Windows 7

We have Oracle reports 10g (10.1.2.0.2). From Reports Builder, when running any report that has a picture, I keep the picture in : C:\oradev1012\reports\templates and it runs without issue. However, it runs without issue using a Windows XP machine, not Windows 7. When running on Windows 7, and trying to run a local RDF from Report builder, where should I put the pictures so Report builder can see them?

BB s/w causes windows to crash

Just about every morning opening the lid of my laptop and clicking every button I could find I could not wake it up - even though it was only supposed to be in sleep mode. Each time I would have to power it down and reboot. Event Viewer would show an "unexpected shutdown" and often there would be an event which referenced MDNS. After researching and trying different things I finally decided to just disable 2 services: RIM MDNS and BB Link Comm Mgr. It's now been a week without crashes. Anyone have any experience or comments on this issue?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP G70-111EA Notebook and having issues with the Graphics crashing. Here is a link to the Mobile Intel 4 series Chipset that is recommended.
When you look in your Device manager do you see 2 Graphic adapter. If yes, here is the download for the other.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system. It will install any software or drivers that are needed. It will also update any chipset drivers.

Xfce font change caused window/panel crash

I just installed arch linux w/ xfce4 on my UX31A laptop for the first time yesterday. I had everything up and going...but today I was changing my font in:
Settings Manager > Appearance > Font
and after testing out one of the various fonts, my desktop panel and windows disappeared (though I can still open google chrome). I've tried reopening the settings manager from terminal using:
xfce4-appearance-settings
but receive the following error:
xfce4-appearance-settings: cairo-scaled-font.c:459: _cairo_scaled_glyph_page_destroy: Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
I'm sure I can fix this by finding the file in which the font setting is saved and changing it to another font, but I'm not sure where this is. Any ideas? Also, how can I prevent this in the future? Thanks for the help!

Did you hit Apply before you closed lxappearance? Otherwise the change is just a preview. Did you also run lxappearance as the same user that's having trouble with the panel?
If that doesn't do it, try running xfce4-settings-editor. Don't get your hopes up though

Go to the channel "xsettings" and edit /Gtk/FontName to something sensible, or reset it.
Otherwise, this should be able to reset the Gtk font property(See here: http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfconf/xfconf-query).
xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Gtk/FontName
If that can't run either, edit the files manually(I find it highly unlikely that these don't exist, please say so if they don't):
~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xsettings.xml:

<property name="FontName" type="string" value="FontName FontSize"/> 
</property>

If that doesn't do it, I assumed the panel would follow the Gtk theme, but perhaps it doesn't. What about this?
