IPhone won't make or receive calls, among other issues
So I've been having a lot of problems with my iPhone 3GS. About 80% of the time it won't make calls, and about 50% of the time it won't receive calls. I'll only know if someone called me if they told me they called or left a voicemail. Every single time this happens I have full service. It's also started getting really picky about sending texts.
I'm basically fed up at this point. I'm on my second sim card, I've taken my phone to the Apple store three times, and I've been turning it off, resetting it, and switching airplane mode on and off as a last resort. I kind of need my phone to make calls, which it for some reason does not want to do. Any suggestions anyone has about what to do are appreciated.
Also, my phone has been having issues when it's been plugged in. I've been using the wall charger that came with the phone, yet I've gotten the message after plugging it in that it is a device that doesn't support charging. It constantly vibrates while it's plugged in as well, as though it's being unplugged and plugged back in and takes a really long time to actually charge (I had it plugged in for about 20 minutes and it went from 52% battery to 53% battery). I don't know if this is an issue with the phone or if the cable just died on me.
Either way, this is really obnoxious. I can't wait until my contract is up so I can get an Android.
Try cleaning the connector on the bottom of the phone. A dry toothbrush is a good tool to use. Also inspect it with a magnifying glass to make sure there are no bent pins.
You might also have a bad cable.
For the other problems have you Restored the phone and set it up as a new phone?
And I have to ask, just to confirm, the phone is not jailbroken, correct?

I can not make or receive calls! other functions itself. Internet, sms, whatsapp work. I restored as new iphone from the phone and from itunes and still not working.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. -
Just updated my iPhone 5 to the new IOS 7.0.6and now when I make or receive calls, the other person can't hear me. I have tried doing a hard reboot and resetting the network settings, but neither of those solved the problem. Any suggestions??

If you need to use the phone now, try using speaker phone until you can take it to an Apple store and have them further look into the problem.

My phone won't make or receive calls or send text messages after the iOS 8.1.1 update.
My phone will no longer make or receive calls and I can't text after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1. I've tried everything except chucking the phone out the window. Any ideas? I have reset it multiple times, turned it off and back on, reset the network settings, reset all settings, toggled the airplane mode switch, and done a complete factory restoration. What else is there to do? I can't get a new phone for another year.

Verizon iPhone unable to make or receive calls
Hello everyone, my Verizon iPhone is intermittently unable to make or receive calls (yes I do have reception). Has anyone experienced this before? I've called Verizon customer service and they were no help and suggested replacing the device at the apple store which I did. Verizon tech support ended up saying they would look into my issue with the network team, and contact me, which they never did. Apple sort of suggested it's a Verizon issue, and was not going to replace it for that reason, until I told them my battery was dieing quick too (luckily I had a screenshot of usage). So they're kinda blaming eachother- and I'm stuck in the middle with no support/help. I've tried ALL of the troubleshooting procedures. Do you think it's a Verizon or iPhone problem? What should I do?
One reason I think it's a Verizon issue is, I've had 2 iPhones that had the same problem- what are the chances of that? One reason I believe it's a Apple iPhone issue is because ALL of the Verizon phones in my household work perfectly all the time, except mine. Again it's intermittent, which is why I recorded videos.

Anyways, I gave it a try on this iPhone except the restore, because I want the apple genius to be able to run a diagnostic on it. I did the restore on my prior iPhone and he said he couldn't run the diagnostic because I restored it.
My results from the troubleshooting link:
1. Check Signal - I have 3/5 bars, still doesn't work
2. Reset Network Settings - I did that, still doesn't work
3. Verizon Update Preferred Roaming List - My iPhone gets "Call Failed" when dialing *228 (btw I already did this the day I got this iPhone).
4. Check Carrier - 4 of the 5 Verizon phones in my house work perfectly, so I doubt it's a carrier issue at this point. But I will give Verizon another call tomorrow morning to make sure. -

Ask your carrier to re-evaluate your account. If they still don't see a problem - ask for a replacement SIM.

Iphone 4S wont make or receive calls
Alright, so the other night my Iphone was factory restored because it was locked in rocovery mode. I restored it from backup and updated to IOS 7.0.3 and it wont make or receive calls - it says call ended immediately when i dial a number no ringtone no answering machine. I've tried resetting the network settings, restoring from backup (again), and to make things worse my lock button has been broken for months - i haven't had the money for a replacement power sensor strip. Any ideas what i should try to do to fix it? Or do I need to try Factory Restore again? Oh and my 3G works just fine and I can send and receive texts. And its not JailBroken as a final note.

iphone 4: Since Friday Evening i have not been able to make any calls or sms not even recieve them, i have tested my sim card on a different iphone 4 and i could make calls and sms, so i know it is not my sim card. i have phoned up my carrier which is t-mobile and they have gone through all the troubleshooting steps with me and have not worked?, i have full signal most of the time and i can still use my unlimited internet data?, i think it maybe a fault with the iphone or i have touched a setting on my phone, there is no scratches or dents or even cracks on my phone? i have not dropped it either. Does anyone know what this problem could be? i am totally lost with out my phone and in need of desperate help! (people have tried to call me and it says calls are not connected to this number even though my sim works on another phone)

After upgrade to ios6 my iphone 4S cannot make or receive calls
I have tried different solutions , reset the network settings , resetting all settings , nothing helped. I am able to send txt messages and receive txt medsages (not send thru imessage) i can use internet via 3G - but i just cant make calls. Everytime i try - it immediatly replys - "call ended"
Has nothing to do with the carrier - tried tree different with 3 different sim cards

Galaxy S4 won't make or receive calls?
So I switched to an old iPhone 4 because my screen broke, then got a replacement S4 and when I went to switch devices I suddenly couldn't have outgoing or incoming calls.
