Iphone won't unlock!!!!!!!!!

I was trying to change my iphone 4s password today and i messed up and put the wrong thing and now i cant get in my iphone........... WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you forgot your iPhone passcode you can bypass the lock screen completely and reset the passcode by using Iphone recovery mode
Warning: This will require you to restore your iPhone, this means you’ll lose all data on the device and be back to factory settings.

  • My iPhone won't unlock

I am trying to unlock my iPhone 3Gs but it keeps saying that it is the wrong passcode. I KNOW I am putting in the right passcode so what do I do?!?!

If you didn't back it up to the computer you have now, then there is nothing there for you to recover...
Your contacts should have been synced to a cloud service or the address book on your computer. Apps and music can be re-downloaded from the store at no charge using the ID used to purchase them originally. You said you managed to get your photos already, so what else is left?

  • IPhone won't unlock from sleep

I got my 8Gb iPhone on the 29th and it's been working fine until yesterday when it started to not respond to the unlock slider. Slide, slide, slide. No response, but sometimes a very delayed response when the slider finally moved across.
I called Apple tech support today, and the young man told me to try resetting the phone by holding both the home and sleep keys down until the Apple logo appeared. I did so and the logo stayed on for a couple minutes, and then the home screen appeared.
I tried putting it to sleep and then it unlocked with no problem. Looks like that fixed it. I just wanted others to know this in case it happens to them.

I used a Dremel #7103 Diamond Wheel Point bit to cut
a slot through the glass and then using a jeweler's
tool manually moved the slider to unlock the phone.
    Worked like a charm.
I did a double take. Took me about 5 seconds before I figured it out...

  • [Urgent] iPhone won't unlock despite "Sliding to Unlock"...

Whenever on the lockscreen i "slide to unlock", unlocking sound is heard, then instantaneously the locking sound is heard, and the "slide to unlock" screen reappears, leaving the phone locked.
The problem appeared suddenly without my doing anything!
    what should i od?
    plz help!

Try turning your phone off and on again, and/or press the top "sleep" button and main menu button at the same time and hold them down. My phone has done this a few times as well, I'm not sure why but one of the above mentioned usually does the trick. Good luck!

  • I have a iPhone 5 and mini ipad which I bought unlocked in the UK. I have just moved to singapore and have been told the iPhone won't accept a sim here as the phone is locked to the UK. Any ideas how to unlock. Will this be the same for my ipad?

I have an iPhone 5 and mini ipad which I bought in the UK Unlocked. I have just moved to Singaporen and have been told that my iPhone won't accept a sim as the phone is locked to the UK. Any ideas how to unlock as apple say they can't do it.  Will I have the same problem with my ipad?

Unless you purchased the iPhone direct from Apple in the UK and paid full price either on line or In an Apple Store then it will be locked to a UK Carrier and only that carrier can arrange unlocking
It is unlikely that the iPad is similarly locked as most are sold carrier free unless specifically purchased from a UK carrier as part of a packaged deal involving a subsidy on the price of the iPad ( not very likely but they do exist )

  • Iphone 4s won't unlock from AT

I went to https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/ and submitted my device unlock request for my AT&T iphone, which is out of contract.  I received the following approval:
    Unlock request number: 2010855198
Thank you for contacting AT&T about unlocking your mobile device.
Congratulations! Here are your unlock instructions:
    1. Open iTunes on your Mac or PC and verify that you have Internet connectivity.
    2. Ensure the original SIM card that came with this device is inserted in your iPhone.
    3. Connect your iPhone using the dock connector to USB cable that came with your iPhone.
    4. Backup and restore your iPhone using iTunes. For information on backup and restore, please visit http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.
    5. After restoring, your iPhone will be unlocked.
Additional information on unlocking can be found at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5014.
Questions? Please call 800.331.0500, or dial 611 from your AT&T wireless phone.
I followed these steps, and the ones on HT1414 and HT5014, and the phone still wouldn't unlock.  I tried many times and several iterations of the apple and AT&T procedures, but every time I put in any one of three different T-Mobile sim cards I would get the following message:
"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store."
I have the latest iTunes updates.  I've tried erasing all content and settings on the iPhone, creating and restoring multiple backups from both iTunes and iCloud, resetting to factory conditions, rubbing my head and patting my tummy, but nothing seems to work.
I called 800-331-0500 and spoke to two different AT&T reps, but they weren't able to help me.  I called Apple support at 80-676-2775, and spoke "unlock iphone," which transferred me to what appears to be 800-MY-IPHONE.  After dialing in my phone number, the message said that I needed to subscribe to an apple support plan in order to receive phone support.
    ***?  Help!!

Actually the message was "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server.  This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone.  Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier.  Please contact Apple from more information."

  • IPhone won't sync after upgrading to Leopard

My iPhone won't sync, or even show up in iTunes, after upgrading to Leopard. I've tried restarting my Macbook Pro, trying different USB slots, closing and reopening iTunes, everything. Has anyone else had this problem??
    I've tried everything apple suggests:
    1. The iPhone battery might need to be recharged. For information about charging iPhone, see "Charging the Battery" in the iPhone User's Guide.
    2. If that doesn't work, disconnect other USB devices from your computer and connect iPhone to a different USB 2.0 port on your computer (not on your keyboard).
    3. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: If you enter the PIN incorrectly three times, you may need to contact your carrier for a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) to enable your SIM card again.
    4. If that doesn't work, restart your computer and reconnect iPhone to your computer.
    5. If that doesn't work, download and install (or reinstall) the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes.

You might need to remove and reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Service. Follow the link below for info on how to do this.

  • HT201407 Per the "Completing Authorized iPhone Unlock" instructions, I connected to iTunes to back up and restore so my iPhone can be unlocked! But after the restore my iPhone is stuck at the activation screen, it will not activate.

Received an authorized unlock code from apple/AT&T for my off-contract 3GS (8GB). Per the “Completing Authorized iPhone Unlock” instructions, I connected to iTunes to back up and restore so my iPhone can be unlocked! But after the restore my iPhone is stuck at the activation screen, it will not activate saying “Your iPhone cannot be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable”. I tried this again and again for countless times, no way! I have my old AT&T simcard and other carrier’s simcard. Both will not help. Please help me to activate and start using my phone.

    Hello,
I got like the same problem, last days I get message to restore my iPhone, so I did it yesterday and it work very well. In the afternoon I saw that at top in the left corner show invaild sim card or so (only knew the german version). so I restore it again but now it won`t activate after I enter SIM-PIN and it accept it, it shows "No Service".
Anybody can help? My Carrier is o2 Germany.

  • Strange iPhone 4 factory unlock problem.

Strange problem with iPhone unlock, friend purchased iPhone 4 from another friend which was locked to O2 Ireland. After a few months of use he was having problems with the camera so he brought it back to the to the Apple store in Belfast, Northern Ireland and was given a refurbished one no problem. So now one year on he has left O2 to now find out that his replacement iPhone is locked to them. Now usually they have a policy that if you have spent so much credit on your account they will unlock your phone, but they are telling him their is no record of the phone in the system so they won't send a request of unlock to Apple. The problem seems to be because the phone was a replacement from Belfast which as part of UK has different providers than here in Ireland. So the phone originated in UK which means no record of it on O2 Ireland. Apple won't unlocked because the request hasn't come from the provider and provider won't unlock because they never had phone originally.
Has anyone had a problem like this before.
    Cheers

I have the same problem, did u find a way to unlock it? If yes please share :)

  • HT4946 My iphone won't open, message on screen states iphone is not backed up. when I hit the ok button it remains locked. what can I do?

My iphone won"t open. There is a message on the screen that states that iphone is not backed up. when I click the ok button nothing happens. It was workin until today.

By "open", I think you mean you cannot unlock your iPhone.
If that's true, here's the remedy:

  • IPhone 5 factory unlocked.  version is already on sale. Thanks

Hi, i'm from Uruguay, here there are a lot of people, how is offering the iPhone 5 factory unlocked. i want to know if is real that the factory unlocked version is already on sale. Thanks

The officially unlocked iPhone 5 will work just fine in both Singapore & India. The only thing you won't have is LTE support, but, AFAIK there is no LTE in India anyway.

  • Cannot activate iPhone 4 factory unlocked

I bought an iPhone 4 factory unlocked in an Apple Store in Califórnia 2 days ago. I brought it to Brazil and I cannot activate it for the first time. It says "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable.". I tried to do it via iTunes and nothing also.  What should I do?

You in fact purchased a locked iPhone. Your receipt is the key that confirms this:
"No contract Sim". Apple Canada sells both: contact free(what you purchased) and unlocked. Your phone requires a Canadian sim to activate, and once activated will be locked to that carrier. It is merely "contract free". You have thirty days to return your phone and get your money back. I'd suggest you start figuring out how to do so.
The price you paid has nothing to do with whether the phone is locked/unlocked. Further, there is no one from Apple here and even if there were, no one from Apple can help you. Your phone is locked, was purchased as locked and needs to be returned as it won't work where you live.
