IPhone wont let me load up apps, itunes wants to restore it... HELP!
Hi,
Basically, ive been using my iphone without a fault and all of a sudden for some odd reason the apps wouldnt load up. I had this problem before and to solve the problem all i had to do was connect it to itunes and the problem went away. However, this time, itunes isnt recognising the iphone and is saying that i need to restore it to factory reset. iTunes also seems to remember my music and films but none of my apps. Ive spent alot of money on these apps and now i cant find them in itunes, and now they wont load up! Im reluctant to do a restet because i dont know if i will lose all my apps and have to buy them all over again. It all started off when i turned off the iphone becuase it ws running low on battery, so when i went to turn it on again (this is without charging it) it was stuck on the screen with the apple, so i managed to turn it off, then when i turned it on again, it would load any apps...Any thoughts, answers or suggestions...i need help from someone who knows about this stuff, becuase im new to apple and im very confused...Thanks,

Just resolved this to my delight. I did a complete factory reset and had to upload all the apps and so on. However, my itunes ibrary for some odd reason didnt remember any of my apps so i had to re-download them from the store, took a while, but atleast ive got them back...

There seems to be a billing problem with the iTS. I've been trying to make purchases today (Dec 9th) too and it reports either the iTS can not process payments or it says my card was declined. I even changed the payment method to Paypal (which is never declined) and still no go.
I don't think it is "you" but a problem at Apple. Some popular new apps were released recently like Logic Pro and perhaps they're getting bombarded as they did when Lion was released.

okay so i used a visa gift card i had gotten as a payment method to use to download music on itunes and then finally it ran out of money. then later when i tried to download an app it said "sign in required" so i signed in then it said my payment method isnt working but i have no other meathod and i cant cancel the one i have so i tried again and it keeps saying the same thing.. it wont let me download anything.. what do i do?
You probably have a past due balance in the iTunes store. If so, you'll have to enter a new payment type, or use an iTunes gift card to resolve the outstanding balance before you can proceed to download free apps, or install app updates.

My iphone wont let me sync apps from my itunes
i had a iphone 3g and had loads of apps on it
i brought a 3gs recently and had it unlocked by vodafone to o2 unlock code came through and off i went
well i then wanted to sync some of my old apps to my new iphone
i selected 1 or 2 of the ones i wanted and selected where i wanted them on the screen
pressed sync and the itunes went through its process but when it finished i checked the iphone and nothing was on there
all the boxed that need to be ticked are ticked and i spoke to apple help n they said re install itunes which im doing now but i dont know if its going to work
any help????????If you have Restrictions enabled on the iPhone at Settings > General > Restrictions, do you have Installing Apps turned on as a Restriction?

You can create a new Apple ID without using a credit card for download free apps by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534. Follow it exactly as writtien. Note that you have to download and try to install a free app and then create the ID.

If you go beyond the credit from a gift card the balance will be billed to your credit card account. -

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:
