MY iphone 3gs wont send MMS!
I can PUT ANOTHER SIMS CARD IN MY IPHONE AND IT SENDS MMS. I CAN PUT MY SIM CARD IN ANOTHER PHONE AND IT SENDS MMS.
BUT MY SIM CARD WONT SEND MMS IN MY PHONE!  WHY!
Here what i have tried.
Clear Network Settings
Restores Phone - As NEW
Call AT&T made sure my account was good.

Have you tried turning iMessage off? goto Messages > iMessage Off. Then restart the iPhone with "your" sim in it by holding the home button and the on/off toggle button for 8 seconds or until the screen goes black.
Also on this same screen check at the bottom that and check that MMS Messaging is also on.
Hope this might help.
What operating system are you using?

my iphone wont send mms, does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Had same problem. After seeing another post, I disabled an app I was running called "onavo". Did the trick!! If you don't have it, I'd suggest it could be something similar? This was an app that reduced data usage in the background...

  • IPhone wont send email from a certain mail account

I know the settings are right, but the iPhone wont send mail from one of my mail accounts (hosted by the company i work for, which offers mail hosting as a service, and has hundreds of other iPhone users with the same account settings.)
The progress bar that indicates "sending" zips by suspiciously quickly when I hit Send, but there is no audio confirmation. Then the email is gone - its not in my Sent Items folder, and its not in the Drafts folder and its not in my broom closet.
From what I understand, if one SMTP server isn't available, it should default to the AT&T SMTP server, but it apparently doesn't even get that far, because the phone must think it's sent the message, or it would end up in the Drafts folder (or Outbox, I can't recall), which is what I would normally experience if I had no service at the time I was sending the message. I have two other accounts that work normally on the iPhone. Nothing has been recently changed with the SMTP server in question, which works fine with all my other devices.
    I've tried:
    • deleting the account and re-adding it manually (four times)
    • deleting the account and syncing it with my computer (three times)
    • hard resetting the iPhone
    • ensuring that the primary SMTP server for this account is, in fact, switched to "On" in Settings->Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, <mail account>-->SMTP (which brings me to another question: how do I edit this list? Is it automatically populated by the accounts in my Mail app?

    Ideas?
    Email Account type: IMAP
    Authentication type: MD5 with SSL
    Port: 587
    8GB 3G iPhone, Software version 2.2.1

    One thing that might help.
If your primary server is hosted by your company, double check the outgoing settings.
    Host Name:
    Use SSL:
    Authentication:
    Server Port:
If it zips through your primary server without effect, try turning the primary server off and one of the secondary on.
If connected to Edge or 3G, you can use ATT's SMTP server.
If issue still persists, then set up a gmail or yahoo account to test with.
    Both are free email services.
If still fails, then general troubleshooting might help.
Here are a couple of articles from the apple support website that might help out.

  • My iphone wont send my mail.  It says the username or password for Yahoo is incorrect.  I double checked and they are both correct.

    My iphone wont send emails

Enter your user name and password in the Outgoing Mail Server section of the Mail Account even if it says that is optional.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > your Email Account > SMTP > the Server name > Add your User Name and Password.

iphone wont send messages on wifi but works on 3g

Is your messages bubble in blue or green?
Blue: iMessage from Apple works on 3G or Wi-Fi but recipient should have also iMessage swith ON.
Green: SMS work only on 3G and is your carrier responsibility.

  • TS2755 iphone 3gs wont send mms sometimes?

all of a sudden it just wont send messages unless i wait until later in the day to send it.

You may need to contact your carrier since MMS with the iPhone is exchanged via your carrier's cellular data network.

  • IPhone 4s wont send mms

I bought my iPhone 4s in October and since then have never been able to send MMS messages.
I have spoken to my carrier O2 and all the settings they tell me I'm supposed to have, I already had and apparently my account IS activated to send them. Went to Apple store about a separate issue with an ipod and they said I should try a restore in case there was an error in the upload of the software. Just tried that to no avail. Really don't know what to try now SOOOO frustrating.
Anyone else had this problem and managed to resolve it?

I have the same prob, was told cud get a app to retify this..... aint found it yet (guy from o2 told me bout app) but coulnt tell me name as not o2 product..... seems 2 b a apple prob.....

  • T-Mobile Iphone wont send e-mail

    Hi
I have just moved to the USA from Ireland for 12 months and unlocked my Iphone 3GS so i wouldnt have to buy a new phone while here. I am using t-mobile and everything is fine other than the fact that I can't send e-mail. I can receive it no problem. I cannot find any SMTP settings for t-mobile anywhere and the t-mobile store was useless. I know its not a supported carrier etc but if anyone else has the settings or successfully setup the phone to send mail through t-mobile, I'd be very grateful

Try backing up your Users -> yourname -> Mail folder, and then copying from one machine to the next the com.apple.mail.plist file found in Users -> yourname -> Library -> Preferences. If it still won't send, it is possible there is a limitation on your router as far as who can send mail and what ports they can use. Changing the MTU setting on your network preferences or IPv6 setting may help. Also verify your router has the latest firmware update.

  • IPhone wont send pictures to non IPhone users

For the past couple of months I have not been able to sent picture messages to people who don't have iphones.  I thought it was because a new update was coming soon.  Once the update came and I downloaded it, it still was not working.  I can send regular texts to people who don't have iphones but just not pictures.  I have tried sending pictures to both people with iphones and without.  I can send them to people who have iphones.  Also, the ones who are non iphone users can't send me pictures either.  And it's not just certain phones because I have tried with 3 different people who have different phones and different service providers.  I have searched online and tried what other people have suggested but can't figure it out.  All my settings seem to be fine.  I have a 4s.  Someone please help!!

Yes, it could allow the app to change the types of photos allowed to be viewed and sent, but also change the format in which they are taken.  Essentially, if the App is only functional for JPEG2 images, then it will stop the phone from editing, and sending/receiving pics in any other format.  If Removing those apps doesn't help, then first, I would do a network reset.
Settings > Genreal > Reset Settings > Reset Network Settings.  This will not cause you to lose anything on your phone, but rather, it will reset all WiFi settings, and your connection to your carrier tower.  This could be the issue.
Also, you could contact your carrier...  For example (because I don't know the details of your contract), if your hubby doesnt want you sending/recieveing pics, or your on your parents contract, they could have turned off the feature to send./recieve pics...  But if your communicating to a phone via iMessage, then that feature can't be stoped via the carrier because it's essentially an instant messanger dont over the internet..   Also check you restrictions.. If you acidentally restricted phonos on your phone, it will do the same thing... It will stop texts from sending/receiving pics, but cannot control iMessage as its an instant messanger and not a Text.
If this doesnt help, then I would consider restoring your phone off iTunes.  You shoul dbe backing up regularly(once a week min) and then you may be able to correct this issue.  If a restore doesn't help, then I would visit an Apple store.

  • My iphone wont send all texts to droid user

Ok. You know how when 2 iphone/apple users are texting and both have the same software update with the Icloud that their conversation bubbles in the text message are grey and blue. Grey being what they sent you and Blue what you sent them. Furthermore, when you are texting a non-iphone/apple user the conversation bubbles are Grey*what they sent you* and Green*what you sent them*
Now my fiance switched from her iphone 3gs to a Droid just 2 days ago.
I have a 3gs as well and we have noticed if I or her friends using an Iphone send a text message to her and it shows up on our phones as a blue conversation bubble *as if she still has her iphone* she does not receive our texts. But if our phones send her a text and they come up as a green conversation bubble, she gets them..
any idea on how to fix this to where all of our texts we send to her come up as a normal Green conversation bubble since she is no longer an iphone user.
We are constantly busy and need to be in contact with each other.
    PLEASE HELP ASAP

My husband has a new Droid (used to use an Iphone) and I have a new Iphone (used to have a 4, now have a 4S).  All texts I sent to him came back to my phone.  How we finally solved the problem:
    1) Turned out I'd registered my phone under his ICloud account.  I went onto the Apple site and registered an account with ICloud.
    2) My husband unregistered his old Iphone per the above advice.
    3) I went into Settings - ICloud - and all the way at the bottom of that screen, selected "delete account" and deleted the account.
    4) Going back into ICloud, I re-registered under my new ID.
    5) We both rebooted our phones.
    Solved!
    Hope that helps.
