IPhone wont sync with iCloud???

Hi all....Can anyone help???
I have set up iCloud and it seems to work fine EXCEPT for the fact that I cannot get it Outlook to sync with my iphone?  I am using Outlook 2010 Pro...and iphone 5s.
If I make a change on my phone calendar it does not sync the new event?  If I make a change in Outlook on my PC, it does not sync to the phone.
Heres the twist....Changes, additions or deletion of CONTACTS either from my phone or my PC, work PERFECTLY.
I had the cloud page open in one window and outlook in another.  I made a Contact change in outlook and watched the change take effect in the cloud within a few seconds. Also I made a change to CONTACTS on my phone and also within seconds the change happened in the cloud and in outlook just like it should....
ITS ONLY CALENDAR changes that dont work?
Can someone help?
Thanks
smginoz

Hey there smginoz,
It sounds like your iCloud calendar is not syncing to Outlook and neither is your Outlook syncing to iCloud. I would use the Outlook troubleshooting from the following article to help you resolve the issue:
iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3999
Troubleshooting on Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Outlook)
If you're having trouble with iCloud Calendar on a PC (with Outlook 2007 or later), try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Note: iCloud Control Panel does not support Outlook 2010 Personal Edition. When using iCloud Control Panel 2.0 and later, iCloud Calendar event descriptions in Outlook 2010 do not support text formatting (bold, italics, or underline), HTML, images, or attachments. The contextual menu (right-click) has also been disabled.
Verify that you are using a Windows configuration supported by iCloud.
Make sure that your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Outlook. Learn about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Outlook requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Control Panel window. Learn about setting up iCloud on Windows.
Close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
Make sure that iCloud is not your default account in Outlook:
In Outlook 2013 and 2010, select File > Info > Account Settings > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
In Outlook 2007, select File > Data File Management > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
If you recently made changes in Outlook and they are not updating on your other devices or vice versa, click the Refresh button in Outlook.
If needed, there are additional steps to try within the article.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Sterling

  • TS3999 My Outlook Calender wont sync with iCloud/iPad/iPhone?

My Outlook Calender wont sync with iCloud/iPad/iPhone? despite doing everything as per the support page. I keep on clicking the Add in but it wont "take"?
It use to,  but no matter what I try nothing works. Using Windows 7. HELP!

    This step is not clear:
"Open a secure website to see if you can access ports 80 and 443. Outlook requires access to port 443 to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Contacts servers."
The link takes me to an Apple page but which has nothing to do with ports.  And there is nothing to explain what it is I am looking for, how to look for it, and how to change it if needed.
    Also, this step:
"Open the iCloud Control Panel and make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices."
iCloud automatically set up a "[email protected]...." account for me so I see that one plus my original email used to open my Apple account.  And the apple products show my settings under both identities.
Make sure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook
This add-in is disabled because it doesn't allow Outlook to function properly.
    Thanks!

  • TS3999 iPhone 4s sync with iCloud is random

Is anyone having trouble with the iPhone 4s syncing with iCloud.  Mine seems completely random.  Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

I have a 4G iPhone and HP Laptop using Outlook  2007, with Vista 32 bit operating system.
Initially, syncing between Outlook, IPhone, and iCloud worked fine.  Then I did something and the syncing (Contacts and Calendar) stopped working.
Is there a way to go back to go and re download iCloud again?  Or is there a checklist I might reference to check all relevent settings?
Man, I do not have time for this.

  • My calendar "all from my Mac" on my iphone wont sync with my ical

I have my iphone calender under "all from my mac" however it wont sync with my ical. I have noticed the only calender on my ical is from my icloud. Unfortunately all my calender enteires on my iphone are not under that. Wondering what the easiest way to sync this is.
when I click hide calender and hide the "all from my mac" all my calender entries disappear.

    Try this:
    1. Make a backup ( a) Time Machine, b) Export > Archive iCal. Close iCal)
    2. In Finder hold down alt-Key while choosing "Go to..." menu
    3. Select Library
    4. In the folder Calendar delete the files
    Calendar Sync Changes
    Calendar Cache
    5. In the folder Preferences delete the files
    com.apple.CalendarAgent.plist
    com.apple.iCal.helper.plist
    com.apple.iCal.plist
    com.apple.iCalExternalSync.plist
    com.apple.syncserver.plist
(not sure which one is the bad guy, but it did not hurt to erase all of them)
    6. Start iCal, it will update itself.

  • Ipad and iphone not syncing with icloud

My ipad AND iphone 4S have stopped syncing with icloud - for calendar and reminders at least - suspect for all apps - any suggestions anyone? Have tried ensuring default calender is the same across all, but thus is also impacting other apps.. Help appreciated.

Do you mean per app? Have done for calendar on iphone, but reluctant to do so on ipad as that's the one that contains loads of updates (as it means deleting everything on the ipad?)... if I have to do this I will eventually, its just that as it's both my iphone and ipad involved, it seems like it might be more likely to be an icloud issue? She said hopefully...

  • Contacts created on iPhone not sync with iCloud

I'm having this problem for a while now. Since my last iPhone.
    Currently I have:
an iPhone 5, an iPad, a MCB and an iMac.
All updated with last versions, all using iCloud to sync contacts.
If I create a new contact on the MCB or on the iMac, it will sync to iCloud and to the iDevices. If edit this contact, or even delete it from the device, it will be deleted from iCloud, MSB and iMac.
If I create a contact in the iPad, it will work fine if on settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars, the "Default Account" for contacts is set to "iCloud" instead on "On my iPad"
The problem is: if I create a contact on the iPhone, it will not be synced with iCloud, MCB, iMac or iPad. It will remain only on the iPhone. And on the iPhone, under  settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars there is no "Default Account" for contacts, so I'm assuming it is set to "On my iPhone" by default.
Does anyone know how to add the option? or how to force the iPhone to create contacts on iCloud instead on the device itself?

Ensure that indeed you have your iCloud contact sync enabled on your iPhone. If this is true, try forcing the Default Account option to appear under Contacts on your iPhone Settings > Mail, Calendars, Settings. Then follow the instructions from here: iCloud contacts not syncing.
To force the Default Accont option to appear, simply enable an additional contact sync account such as Exchange or CardDAV

Check the model number by holding down the option/alt key while selecting About this Mac under the Apple menu. Select System Information and it will tell you the model number.  Compare it to:
    Model Number - iMac
You can then check against the link mende1 provided.
If you then go with Niel's suggestion, you can check here.
    Computer Compatibility - Lion
You also might want to check applications compatibility since neither lion or Mountain Lion support PowerPC applications.

  • Iphone wont sync with itunes i dont have apple mobile device

i dont have apple mobile device on my computer so that means my iphone wont sync to my itunes i tryed downloading the new itunes and everything but apple mobile device still did not download why? i need HELP!!!!!

I had the same problem. iTunes would not recognize my wife's phone as a device. My phone was just fine. So here is how I fixed her problem after exhausting all the apple support tips. First thing I did was go to apple.com and saved the newest iTunes software to the desk top (do not install yet). Then I went into control pannel to uninstall software. Uninstall the following....Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple software update, Bonjour, and then finally uninstall iTunes. Then reboot your system, once reboot is complete go to your desktop and install the newest iTunes that you saved earlier. This worked like a charm...let me know if it helps

  • Iphone wont sync with computer

cant get iphone to sync with computer   i have never had trouble before

    To determine your OS version:
    1. Right Click on My Computer. Go to the ‘General’ tab (opens by default).
    2. Click on Start then Run. In the ‘Open’ checkbox type Winver.
Either one should tell you exactly what version of Vista you have (However, it's likely you do indeed have Vista 64, in which case the iPhone will not sync properly).

  • Number on iPhone not syncing with icloud

Since the recent update to IOS 8.1 and iCloud drive I am finding my iPhone 6 Numbers application no longer syncs correctly.
Data cells which are entered onto the iPhone version of numbers is only partially synced with the iCloud version and indeed, 75% of data entered on the iPhone is lost completely. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi keithnw;
    I had the similar experience.
The following would be helpful, I suppose:
1- Make a backup of iCloud Drive docs (for precaution) .
2- Go to System Preferences > iCloud
3- iCloud Drive > Options. Uncheck all the applications listed.
      4- Turn off iCloud Drive.
5- Delete the CloudKit folder from:
              ~/Library/Caches
       6- Restart the Mac.
       7- Turn on iCloud Drive
This completely resets iCloud Drive and downloads a clean set of data from iCloud.

  • IPhone not syncing with iCloud

I went to iCloud via my office computer and entered an event in my calendar, set alerts, etc.
They never showed up on my iPhone. I don't know if they ever showed up on my home iMac's Calendar program. I'll check tonight.
I checked the settings in my iPhone's preferences and it seems to be turned on.
I did not see any "sync now" button in either the iPhone prefs or the iCloud prefs.
Is there a fix for this?
I might actually have to go back to writing reminder notes on PAPER and putting them in my pockets.

I had same problem - syncing 2 iphones, 3 Macs to icloud, it would work one way, not the other, etc etc
    Fixed it as follows:
1st - Back up calander on each device ....
log into icloud and make sure calander on icloud is your master & up to date - so everything you want to keep  is there.
On each device - turn off icloud sync for your calander. This will ask if you want delete the calander on the device, Yes delete it. - Do a full restart on device for good measure.
Go back to icloud sync on each device and turn on - This will ask if you want to merge calanders with iCloud - Yes you do...
Wait for the icloud calander to download to device,
Now you have a new copy of the icloud master calander on your device, it should all work :-)

  • Iphone wont sync with itunes

Hi, I bought an iphone 5 today and am trying to get it to sync with my itunes account after pressing the sync button it goes through the steps (4 steps) in a couple of seconds but there is no music on my phone, i read somewhere else to turn of imatch which i have done on the computer (it was already off on the phone) but not sure what else to try? any help would me much appreciated.
    thank you

Yes, you will lose everything in your iPhone if you restore it to factory settings. What you want to do to prevent this is "Backup" your iPhone in iTunes. You do this by right-clicking on the device and than selecting "Backup" (if you have a Mac, hold CTRL and than click on your device).
So what you'll do is restore your iPhone to factory settings and than on the setup screen, go to "Restore from iTunes" backup and this will place everything back to your phone.
I hope this helps buddy. And you're very welcome!
