Iphone wont work after update

I tried to update my iphone 3gs and it told me I had to restore. After trying to restore it came up with error message 29 and will not restore. I now cannot turn on my phone or restore. Any sugguestions?

After updating the updater my iPod is no longer recognised by itunes. When i plug my ipod in it says do not disconnect and is recognised by the computer, but not itunes. The updater window comes up saying i need to update but it will only give me the option to restore. I have done this. I have tried resetting also, but this doesn't work. I have uninstalled the updater, and reinstalled it. The problem persists. It comes up with an error when i do have the option to update. Now my ipod, when turned on, display the little apple sign, and then the folder with the exclamation, and shortly turns itself off. It has no songs on it now. I've only had it about 8 months so it should still be covered under the warranty, but ideally i would like to solve this problem without sending it off.
Did you work out how to sort out yours? Or can anyone help me with mine!

What is the error message you refer to when you tried to update it.
If you've seen this and it doesn't help then it may need service.

There is something you can try. If your iPod is recognized in 'my computer' you can try formatting the iPod through Windows, then you would need to reformat it using the iPod updater. This proceedure isn't normal, but can be used in extreme troubleshooting circumstances.

Iphoto wont work after updating to mountain lion

I updated to mountain lion now my iphoto wont work. I tried updating but couldnt find iphoto 9.0 they said I needed. I downloaded and installed iphoto 9.4.2 and it still won't work. It says: your photo library is either in use or has become unreadable. Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this quit iPhoto and then reopen while keeping the option and command keys pressed.
I did that and it still gives me the same message when I try to open.

Try the following:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library â Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

My iphone 5c wont work after update from ios 7 to ios 8, is on recovery mode but my itunes wont find my device to restore it

I update my iphone 5c ios 7.1.2 (i think) to ios 8.0.2, however when it was intalling it suddently stppoed and my iphone only displayed the itunes icon with the cable plug in in the screen. I searched all over the internet for the solution and it says to turn the device into recovery mode and plug it to itunes so it can restore with ios 8 on it, however my itunes doesnt find my device in any way, i tried updating my itunes my windows everything, but still doesnt work, help please!!

If your phone is in recovery mode, all data on it are gone. Certainly before performing a software update, you backed up your data and imported your important photos onto your computer, right?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
    1.    Open Numbers on your computer and move any documents in iCloud to your desktop for safe keeping.
    2.    Navigate to system preferences > iCloud > Manage and check that Numbers documents are not taking any space in the cloud, delete them if they are.
    3.    Enable iCloud syncing for Numbers on your mobile device and launch the App.
    4.    If Numbers now opens properly, start to add back documents from your desktop one at a time (or in small groups if you have many).

Iphone not working after update to 7.06. from 7.04.

I updated my iphone from ios 7.04 to ios 7.06. The phone stopped suddenly. I can do nothing. The phone is showing the apple sign in display from last day. My Itunes don't detect my iphone. Could you please give a suggestion to make it work? I think I should not have updated to newer version.

My iphone will not connect after downloading the iOs 5 update.

Ok this is how I fixed this. Apparently iTunes uses Safari.
Go to Settings -> Safari -> and Clear Cookies and Data and also Clear History - scroll down to see those settings.
Set Block Cookies to either "from third parties and advertisers" or "Never" (you choose which one)
In Advanced (scroll down its the last setting) make sure JavaScript in ON
Here is the last step I had to make to fix it - which may not apply to you. Some time ago I changed my primary email for apple. I noticed it was asking me to enter the password for the secondary email.
I went into iTunes and App Store, tapped my Apple Id and then Sign Out. I then resigned in using my primary Apple email and password.
Just to make sure, I turned the phone off and on, but honestly this may be optional.
I am now working again.

Iphone stopped working after update

I have an old 3GS which I was using as a back up phone to my 4S.
I recently went through an update via i-tunes and now it doesn't work (it takes you through the language selection part but stalls right after selecting a wifi network stage) - the message reads 'Please try again later or contact customer care'.
Took it to the Apple shop and was told the phone was 'dead' - which I felt was a harsh evaluation given the phone was working fine before the software update - I would suspect it would still be working today had I not done the update.
I was then told the only option was to send back for recycling.....which at the time I was happy to look into until I found how much they were willing to offer.
Anyone else been in this situation and if so what was the outcome?

I'm kinda with you on this but I am left with an overall, rhetorical question of sorts about this "waiting" thing.
When did humans, particularly us Americans more than most others, receive this entitlement that rendered "waiting" non-existent?
My point is, at some point you're going to have to wait for something or someone. Perfect universe this ain't. Might as well save your energy for other, more worthy battles. The iPhone is sold in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T only. If you are using an O2 SIM card with the iPhone, this means your iPhone was hacked to be unlocked. Installing a firmware update on a carrier locked iPhone that has been hacked to be unlocked re-locks the iPhone to the designate carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with - in this case with AT&T, and the same applies when restoring such an iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed.
Hacking a carrier locked iPhone to unlock it or for any reason is against Apple's license agreement for the iPhone, is not supported by Apple directly or indirectly via these discussions, and voids the warranty.

Iphone wont load after update

So i dowloaded the new software from itunes and after it was done it said "Sync is complete" "ok to disconnect". But my iphone still had a black screen w/ the apple logo and a bar showing it is loading but it won't load. it only shows the very beginning of the bar progress loaded. I tried to restore and it does same thing. it stops loading after the very beginning. I tried to reset the phone by holding the home and top button at the same time but i still get same result. So my phone is sitting here useless w/ a black screen w/the apple logo on it and a progress bar. Any suggestions Please
