IPhone works after 10hrs underwater!

I was walking by my pool the other night. My phone slipped out of my sweater pocket and landed in the pool. I didn't hear it and just figured I had misplaced it around the house. The next day, after hours of searching, I found the little guy at the bottom of the pool (despite my repetative warnings about staying out of the deep end). It had been down there for over 10 hours! Completely submerged. I pulled the poor soul out. His dark face stared at me. The gaze split me open, looking into the deepest caverns of my soul. I was responsible for my phones safety. I...I did this. But what?? What is this? The light on the back of the phone blinked on. I pressed the unlock key and low and behold the phone was alive. I had email and text notifications (I also had like 34 likes on my Instagram pic of Liv Tyler that I had took when I saw her shopping at Honey Baked Ham, caption: "LIV A LITTLE!" ). So I held down the lock button and the power down screen came on. I swiped the off switch and it worked! I immediately put it in a bag of rice, not because iphones are notorious for liking asian cuisine, but because I was hoping to dry the phone off and save its life. It was a risky procedure, but I had just finished a 2 day bender of ER and George Clooney's spirit was still alive in me ("Dr. Weaver and the sound of her own voice. A love story." -George Clooney, ER, 1997). In a bag of brown rice (health conscious) and upon my cable box my young iPhone sat. Not even a year old and this young one was sitting at the technology undertakers door, which was a place VR Troopers once sat...I was afraid. I gave him 24hrs to recover, which is 7 hours longer than it took Batman to heal his broken back and escape from Bane's cave.I pressed the power button AND its broken. The circuits are fried. Just kidding. It works. But the flashlight wont turn off.
