(iPhone4) 30 pin female connector to micro USB male connector adapter

Is there such a thing as a (iPhone4) 30 pin female connector to micro USB male connector adapter, which can transfer audio / music?
My car audio system has a 30 pin male connector for my iPhone4. Would like to use my Android phone as well.

Google it if nothing shows ,it doesn't exist

  • Micro usb OTG connector.

    Hi
I now want to connect my new HP G2 8" tablet to some external devices (usb-drives etc.) via a micro USB OTG connector. I have already wasted some money buying one on ebay (uk) which fails to work. FYI "USB OTG Checker" identifies the device as capable of supporting OTG as advertised so the tablet is good in this regard.
Does anyone one know of a reputable UK vendor where I can buy one?
    Thanks in advance
    Frustated Chap

Thanks for the reply.  I would prefer to buy one that is already on this side of the Atlantic rather than have it transported to the UK specifically for me.
Anyone know of a good UK vendor of a micro usb PTG connector?

  • Micro USB to HDMI adapter support on Encore 2 WT8-B-102

I would like to know, if there is any chance to connect this tablet to TV/Monitor through the micro usb port by attaching a micro usb to HDMI adapter? If yes, is there any specific adapter being compatible with this Tablet device?
    Thanks for the support
    Alex

First of all it’s not possible to use USB port (micro USB) in order to output the video signal. The USB port does not support such functionality.
According to the tablet's specification page the WT8-B does not support video out interface (HDMI etc..) and therefore it's not possible to connect it directly to the TV device.

  • Micro usb to lightning adapter works in IOS7??

There are plenty of discussion flowing around saying that IOS7 doesn't support 3rd party cable.
However, I have couple of devices that uses micro USB cables and I am thinking about getting the micro usb to lightning adapter (official apple one).
Does anyone know if the micro usb to lightning adapter (official apple one) works with iphone5s with IOS7 on ANY micro usb cable?
    Thanks in advance!

I saw the reviews saying it works (they guy bought it in Dec 2013), however, I confirmed that mine APPLE-branded micro USB to lightning adapter doesn't work after I replaced my iphone5 with iphone5s (build-in iOS7). I bought it from apple store on Nov 2012. Going to check with apple store.

I recently received the Toshiba Tablet AT300SE. This newer tablet no longer has the HMDI connection port. However it has the micro USB. My question is, can I use this micro USB to connect to my TV using the micro a USB to HDMI adapter?
Has anyone ever done this and made it work?
    Thanks,

  • Male micro USB to female apple dock connector

Hey there does anybody know where I can get a male micro USB to female apple dock connector cable from?
    Many thanks

What I would do is use the male to male iPhone cable that came with it, attach a female to male micro usb adapto and a female dock connector coupler.

  • Does anyone know if the new ipad air has a usb port. This is the only downside to the ipad to me? My samsung galaxy tab has 2. 1 being a micro usb. Great for connecting to the tv.     Thanks, greenlady5.

Does anyone know if the new ipad sir, not yet available will have a usb port? This is the only thing that is prevented me from purchasing so far. Doesn't make sense when you can connect to tv.

The standard external connection and charge port on all recently-announced (October 2014) models in the US is the Lightning connector, introduced with the iPad 4 in Sept 2012. http://techcrunch.com/2012/09/12/apples-new-lightning-connector-what-it-does-and -doesnt-change/
This includes iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini, iPad mini 2 with Retina display and iPad mini 3.

NOTE: The original iPad (2010), iPad 2 (2011), iPad 3 (early 2012) came with a 30-pin connector, also common to original iPhones and iPods.
Additional adapters are available to connect TV's, cameras, SD memory cards, and similar devices, from many sources, including the Apple Store online. (Adapters are still available for the older iDevices using the 30-pin connector as well)

  • Female lightning cable to USB

    Hey everyone,
I'm installing a Pioneer radio and I have to use the VGA to Lightning connector, that leaves me with a 2' long lightning cable.
I could run an extension cable, then I'd just always have that cable hanging there, I wanted to see if I could find a female lightning to normal USB, so I can then just put a pannel mount USB on my dash, but I can't find it.

a vga extension cord would by all means be less expensive

  • Looking for 30-pin female to lightning male extender

I purchased an iHome clock radio with 30-pin dock back when I had an iPhone 4. Since upgrading to the iPhone 5 and then the iPhone 6+, I've been unable to use the dock. I'd like to find a 30-pin female to lightning male adapter, but I'd like one that has a lightning extender in place of a standard lightning male connector. I have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case on my iPhone 6+ and I'm afraid that a standard lightning adapter will not work without first removing the Spigen case, something I'd prefer to avoid. I know that there are 30-pin female to lightning male cables, but I was hoping to find an adapter/extender. Does such a thing exist? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Chris! After reading a little further, I'm now leaning toward a cable since others have said that a dock extender can sometimes place stress on the lightning port. Since my iPhone can be placed on the table next to my clock radio when using a cable, this is probably the best solution. I have been using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable between the clock radio and my iPhone for audio and the usual lightning power cord for charging, but I thought I might eliminate one cable by getting a dock extender cable. I appreciate your help.

  • For outdoor chargers do people just resign themselves to lightning/micro usb converters?

I was at a big electronics store in Akihabara yesterday and while they must have had a selection of 500+ different cases for the iPhone 5, there were no portable chargers specific for the iPhone 5. They had zillions of chargers, but they all required buying an extra lightning / micro usb connector.
On the one hand if I do that I can use the same charger for different devices, including my new Nexus 7.
But is that what everybody does? Manufacturers don't make portable (e.g. rechargeable battery or solar) chargers for the iPhone 5 with lightning connectors built in?
Why on earth did Apple go the route of this non-standard connector when there was a perfectly good micro usb standard out there already?
    Thanks,
    doug

Look closely at the way you handle the cables. I have never had any cable, Apple or third-party, fail on me.

  • HDMI -Micro USB Cable

Would like to know if anybody purchased HDMI-Micro B USB cable and if it worked with HD TV.
    Thanks
    PJK Dublin

No, Clear_Blue_Lou is correct, that is a micro HDMI output connector on the bottom edge of the K1, and it has nothing to do with USB.  Here is the spec sheet: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/ww/pdf/ideapad_tablet_k1_datasheet.pdf
I think what he means by "touchy" is that several people have reported that the sturdiness of the connection is not all that great, and it tends to come loose.
UPDATE: I just realized the confusion might have been because the original poster forgot to specify K1 or A1 when he started this thread, but since only the K1 has the HDMI output, Clear_Blue_Lou and I were assuming K1.  It is true that the A1 has a miniUSB connector.

  • Replacement ligthning to sony micro usb cable for MDR-1ADAC headphone impossible to find

    Hi there,
The subject speaks for itself, i lost the original cable that connects my iphone 6 lightning port with my Sony MDR-1ADAC headphone. Sony was so kind to design the cable with a weird switch pin on it so its impossible to use any other ones.
Even on the spare parts redirects there is nothing to find. To be clear i mean the digital USB type (lightning to weird sony micro usb)
If someone could tell me where to get this cable?

  • Why are there no iPhone 6 battery cases with a lightning input port for charging instead of a micro USB?

Why are there no iPhone 6 battery cases with a lightning input port for charging instead of a micro USB?
Does it have something to do with the MFI certification? Is micro USB just cheaper?
I don't want to have to carry around another cable and it seems like this would be a good product. What am I missing?

    sanjaykd wrote:
    Valid point.
So can I ask why there are no MFI certified lightning female ports on battery cases? Or more so, does this certification even exist?
    And why not?
This is a user-to-user technical support forum. There is no one here from Apple to answer "why". Again, I would recommend contacting the manufacturers or use the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page for information on how to contact Apple directly.
I suspect that manufacturers may view the more standard microUSB charging port as a selling point. Those types of cables are cheaper and ubiquitous.

  • Micro USB port damage

I bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 6 months ago, which is under a year-long warranty, from Carphone Warehouse. A month ago, the Blackberry stopped being able to charge so I took it into the shop and the phone was inspected, and I was informed the phone would be fixed under the manufacturers warranty and returned within 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later I was told to collect my phone as it was fixed and it had been returned UNFIXED as I was told the damage was NOT covered by the warranty, after being initially informed it was. What has happened is one of the prong inside the micro USB port has broken off so the phone won't charge. This has also happened to a friend of mine, so surely it is down to faulty materials? I don't understand why this is not covered by the warranty.
I was wondering if Blackberry themselves would be able to fix my phone (as Carphone Warehouse are refusing to, unless i pay £170 - more than the phone is worth. I have taken this up further with them but have constantly received poor customer service and am not willing to deal with them anymore).

The exact words of the email are, "you can approach the manufacturer directly for their independent evaluation of your handset".
I will definitely get back to them about this now.
Good...because those exact words are too generic...they need to provide you an email address, a specific website, or something else that gives you a specific path for escalation.
Given the nature of the contractual relationship that all parties are bound to (e.g., RIM, the carriers, the resellers, the service centers, and even the end users), it is actually very hard for end users to make any inquiries directly to RIM...the contractual relationship prevents RIM from providing simple access by end users since the contractual process that all are bound to is one of escalation from the resellers/service centers/carriers into RIM for cases they cannot resolve. End users going direct to RIM, without formal escalation, are bypassing the contractually required process...so it's not simple, and if the reseller/service center/carrier is recommending that their end user do so, they need to provide their end user with very specific instructions as to how to do so, since no "normal" facility exists for that (as bound by the contractual relationships).

I do have an receipt that they gave me after the initial assesment saying that is will be covered by the manufacturers warranty.
Excellent! You have a good case against them, it would seem! Assuming, of course, that the initial assessment is binding, and not overridden by subsequent assessments...your careful reading of all the words in the documents you have (looking for any "get out of jail free" clauses), including those you initially received when you bought your BB (since it should spell out the exact terms of your warranty coverage), will be crucial to knowing exactly how strong your case is.
    Good luck!
