Iphone4 and PDF Reader issues

Just recently when I download any movie clip from an email it downloads and will only open in PDF Reader by Kdan and of course a movie will not open in a PDF Reader. Please can anyone help me???? Thank you.

Well, I took off PDF reader then it wanted to open it on mover+ so I deleted both out of the iphone. Now "mpg" and "wmv" will not open on my iphone4 from an email attachment. Am I right to say that these extensions will not open on any iphone? These now have the Quicktime icon on them. Thank you for your help.

Just activated BlueAnt S4 with my iPhone4 and having an issue with the Phone Commands - as I have multiple numbers for people (ie: iPhone, Work, Home), is it the BlueAnt that is having the issues or the iPhone? Tried to eliminate info on my partner's contact in with only 2 contact numbers (iPhone, Home) and one or the other is totally screwing up. Seems, from BlueAnt website, that it would be the iPhone contacts...and the guessing begins?!! Anyone else have similar issues when BlueAnt S4 was paired and giving 'Phone Commands'?? Try quitting the PDF apps and Safari like I describe below. Then reset the iPad. After it starts try again.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Anna for E7-00 deletes QuickOffice and PDF-reader

I updated my E7-00 to Symbian Anna and lost my QuickOffice and PDF-reader. How can I get them back? They were in my device when I bought it.

I think this has been covered in other threads, but just quickly... for the N8 used the Nokia Software Update application (version 3.0.383 from Beta Labs) although Ovi suite would have done the same job... this gave me the main 022.014 update of about 266MB, but found that left me with some missing components. Then used the over the air update via Wifi for the remaining pieces of software.
Menu -> Applications -> SW update
Then installed:
Symbian Anna update 1/2 (28MB)
Symbian Anna update 2/2 (30MB)
Ovi Store (18MB)
Social (3415kB)
Once all that is done it should force another restart and then those apps like adobe, quick office and ovi store should be working again.

Acrobat Pro 9 & iPad pdf reader issues

When I create/edit a pdf in Acrobat 5 and then send to my iPad, the pdf will be complete and correct. When I create/edit the same pdf in Acrobat 9 Pro and send it to my iPad the pdf will be missing any data that I edited and the other text will be garbled. This occurs when using both iBooks and Pdf Pro Reader by iTech Development to view the pdf file. Is this an issue with Acrobat or with the pdf readers? What is done differently in Acrobat 9 that might cause these readers to have issues?

So, it is definitely an embedded fonts issue. But I'm still rather
confused with solving the issue. When I use Acrobat 5 on this pdf, it
embeds a substitute font of Times New Roman for the Times Roman font, but when I use Acrobat 9 it is using some substitute font that is getting garbled in the iPad. I am still playing and testing, but any additional ideas would be greatful.
I also talked to the developer of the PDF Pro Reader and they opened an issue with Apple regarding the fonts being garbled and also let me know that if I open the pdf on a Mac and save it it will look fine on the iPad. This did work, but is not something I can use as a solution, since we do not have a Mac and are not looking to purchase one just to solve this issue.

FormsCentral and Adobe Reader issues

Since purchasing FormsCentral (which I think was a mistake), I have not been able to open any pdf documents. I get an error message that says that Reader cannot open the file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and the file was not correctly decoded). What does this mean? I had recently trialed a pro version of Adobe and had difficulty removing it from my computer, does that have anything to do with it? When I open my programs, this is what I see from Adobe: Adobe Reader XI and Adobe Download Assistant.
The other issue is that I think I purchased the wrong program. I do not need forms that are useable on the web, I need to be able to be able to make changes to pdf's that already exist. Is there some way that I can exchange this program for one that is recommended for what I need?

Your problem with Reader and PDF on your system are not related to FormsCentral purchase.
You might have isues with PDF documents since you tried to uninstalled Acrobat from your system.

Minor incompatibility between outlook 2010 and (pdf-) Reader app

Hi.
On win8.1 x64 enterprise (fully patched, including all optional updates to-date), I have found a slight incompatibility with outlook 2010 (x86, sp2). If anybody would like to reproduce it, here are the steps:
First, make sure that the Reader app is your default pdf viewer. Now open outlook and take a message with a pdf attachment. Right click the attachment and select "quick Print". Expected behavior: the attached pdf is sent to your default printer.
Instead, nothing happens.
If I set Adobe Reader as default pdf viewer, it works as expected.
Please be aware that the cause is related to the reader app which is not started by outlook. In order to quick print, the pdf reader would need to be started first, as observed with adobe reader: it flashes up briefly before printing starts.
So the problem is with either outlook or with the way win8.1 manages calls from program to program - I don't know. Please note it has nothing to do with the model of the printer, it happens with all printers, even virtual ones.
If we think of companies adopting win8/8.1, this is really annoying, as it will require them to install a 3rd party reader.
Please look for a solution. If I should report it anywhere, just say where.

I made a test on our test enviroment, Windows 8.1 X64 Enterprise, Office 2010 PRO SP2.
There is no problem to printing as you description. You may need to consider if this is Office problem.

Flash Player and PDF Reader

Suddenly I have lost use of my Flash Player. I have had no trouble in the past. However, I have Uninstalled and Installed Flash Player 3-4 times. With notificaiton that it is installed successfully. I have even tried to "Enable" the Add Ons tab in Tools. However, I have had no success. Incidentally my PDF reader has stopped working as well as some "copy and paste" functions. Any solutions?

This is a Windows setting. In Windows 7 you can change it through the Control Panel: Either Start>Default Programs or Start>Control Panel>Programs>Default Programs>Set Associations
Find .pdf and change it (click Change Program) from Microsoft Word to Adobe Reader. Browse to find the Reader application if necessary: Program Files>Adobe>Reader11>Reader>AcroRd.exe

Quickoffice and PDF reader

I have just updated my N8 with the ANNA update and like a lot of people they have lost the use of QuickOffice and the PDF reader and before anyone say's to look at other posts on how to retrieve the missing programs I have done this. My phone product code is 059C0F6 and is on the UK Orange network. This is driving me crazy i have tried all variations of reinstalling and changing dates but I get nothing the only thing I haven't done is a hard reset. Could anyone suggest any other solutions before I do a hard reset and try it that way.

I too have this problem. Since the software upgrade to Anna, (which I was hoping would fix my other bugs, but hasn't.) I can no longer access the work files I have on the telephone. Embarrasingly I did not find this out until I urgently needed them. I just get "file not supported"
I downloaded all updates that were available and I have followed the link in the previous post and this did not work either. I was not given the option to download any additional program packages. Did Nokia not check this this before they released this update? Why release it without some facilities of the previous release?

FF 19 and PDF viewer issue

So the latest version of Firefox 19 comes with a built in PDF viewer.
The problem that I found is that this viewer at its present time does NOT show fillable fields ina PDF, or let the user type into these fillable fields, or show the electronic print and instructions buttons we place at the top of most of our PDF "forms".

This form should show buttons at the top and let a user fill it out. It does with the Reader plugin. In FF 19's built in PDF viewer I cant seem to do anything.
We presently make all our PDF forms fillable, so if this is an issue, hopefully a fix or update can be found.

This new viewer was an ugly surprise. I DO NOT want pdfs to open in Firefox. I want FIrefox to give me the option to open or download. If I select open, I want it to open in my copy of Acrobat (not the Reader), and certainly not inside Firefox. Can anybody help me?

Iphone4 and windows 8 issue with itunes syncing music

I am trying to add more songs to my iphone 4. when i add folder to my library and try to transfer it to the current playlist, it won't let me.

Is this the computer the device normally syncs with?
Is "Manually manage media" enabled?
iTunes is designed to synce media to the device. What is described above is not syncing.
To sync content, connect the device.
Select the device in the side bar.
Select the appropriate tab at the top for the type of content to manage.
Select the content in question desired to sync.
Sync.

PDF reader issue

Unable to open a pdf file which require chinese traditional language pack, any one please suggest on this as the system already installed with asian language font pack.

What exactly means "unable"; do you get an error message? What does it say in full?

Superdrive and DL reading issues....

Anyone run into this.....was getting ready to do the upgrade to 10.5 and I thought my G5 was all ready to do this....until it doesn't even like the disk and spits it back out...and I run it over to my Firewire external without issues...
Also tried running the restart on the upgrade with Option depressed, not helping..

The thing I have found when using toast and a drive such as the one you have is that at times it will start buring a disk, and then will stop and spit it out with an error. I found it that it was due to the optical eye getting dust on it. The solution for that is to buy one of those dvd player cleaning disks from best buy or another store like that and it will clean off that eye. I am not sure how it gets dirty, but it does, and it will cause that drive to act like it is shot when really it is just dirty. The disk will cost you like $20, but it does the trick.
