IPhone4 No Services

Does anyone have experience like me? My iPhone4 turn into "No service" randomly once or twice a day? Since i won't able to monitor my phone all the time, i don't exactly know how many times it happened.
When it happen, i tried to turn it into airplane mode and resume it, it is not working. I tried to turn off the 3G and turn it on again, still not work. The only solution is shutdown the phone and turn it on again.
Anyone have the same experience? is it iOS bug or hardware issue?

Are you in an area where your carrier provides service?
Have you contacted the carrier to ensure they are not having network issues?
What has been done?

    Plug in the phone, it should switch on automatically and boot up.
    Look on itunes on your computer and see what error message you see there....
    Could be your missing a error message, plugging and switching on with itunes can usually give you this error message.

    I've backup up and restore the phone, restored the applications back. Phones left upper hand corner got very hot to touch and temperature warning came, left it on the stone and got coldish. Battery drained very fast by the way and started to charge. But the phone got hıt again and didn't get charged, didn't open and now dead.
    What should I do? It doesn't give any response to charging and powr on button. Still at charge but doesn't open...

    There isn't any international warranty for the iphone. If you purchased an iphone in UK, then the warranty only works within UK. If you purchased a factory unlocked iphone in UK, and Turkey sells factory unlocked iphone officially, then they may take it into consideration of replacing it. I have no idea if that works for the case if someone purchased a factory unlocked iphone officially from Canada and then takes it to UK.
    From my understanding, Turkey doesn't have factory unlocked iphone officially? Therefore, the warranty will not work and you will have to take it to UK.

  • 3gs disabled by Apple Store upgrading another unrelated persons account

    The title pretty much says it. I went to sleep on 10/30 and woke to my 3gs phone with no service. After connecting with AT&T by landline today, 11/2 (thank goodness I had one), it turns out that according to their records, an Apple store employee upgraded my account to iPhone4 on 10/30 at 6pm. Nice, except I don't have a iPhone4 and I was no where near an Apple store on 10/30 at 6pm. Even better, in order to restore my phone service on my 3Gs I had to physically go to an AT&T store, present ID, account info and get a new SIM. Oh and best yet... my service account with AT&T now shows a new 2 year contract agreement. I am now bound to a contract that an Apple employee made by mistake. Even better yet, I have no idea where to lodge a complaint against this mysterious Apple employee. AT&T tells me this isn't supposed to happen because the Apple employee is supposed to verify the account name by valid identificationand this was obviously not done. So, anyone have an idea how I can lodge a complaint?

    I did call the Manhattan Beach Apple store after my last post. I figured I had nothing to lose. I asked for a manager and explained my issue. He told me that since I say I was NOT in their store and had no paper contract or receipt there was no way he could help me. He referred me to 1-800-APL-Care iPhone technical support. After two service reps, I was referred to Alissa @ Apple (edited to add SHE IS FABULOUS). I repeated the problem again and after she conferred with her manager, she said she would call the Manhattan Beach Apple store, then AT&T and get back to me. She called me back about 30 minutes later and confirmed I had a case # with AT&T. She confirmed the point of sale was at that store and that an electronic service contract was signed there. Luckily I was texting my daughter so my AT&T account shows use in my city at the time the transaction was occurring in Manhattan Beach and I was @ work. She also spoke with a manager in their fraud department and requested my case be escalated because the problem orginated in an Apple store. She recommended I file a police report as well, telling me it would be needed so that Apple could look into potential fraud. Randy from AT&T also called me back and I asked if there were any calls/messages while my AT&T account was hijacked. He said no, which really made no sense to me because what good is an iPhone4 without service? So I wait until Randy from AT&T calls me next Wednesday with news about restoring my original AT&T service contract date. I'll probably never know but my best conspiracy theory guess is that someone wanted an subsidized iPhone4 they could jail break and the Apple employee just attached my account info randomly. I really hope this doesn't happen to someone else. Having to get cases/problem tickets with both sides has taken a bit over 7 hours of my time. That's 7 hours I could have used elsewhere.     you can try a reset, hold down the home/sleep button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait fro the phone to boot back up.
    if that doesn't work contact your cell provider

  • I have the iPhone4. It wont stay on unless it's plugged into the charger. When on the charger it doesn't get service or connect to wifi. Sometimes, even on the charager it shuts off. Note: It's always on 100% to 90%. How do I fix this?

    As stated. I have the iPhone4, I've had it personally for a year now. It's a hand-me-down phone from my uncle who had for for at least two years. For an old phone it worked perfectly. The ocassional hang up on the caller when I try to lock it, but overall it worked perfectly.
    Now, it started to glitch out a lot. From not letting me unlock my phone for the few minutes, to now shutting off on on regardless of where it's at. I started noticing that my phone would shut itself off, even at 40% when I'm at work. To fix it I would have to find a charger, plug it in for a few moments and it would turn back on. I would be cautious not to put it upsidedown otherwise it'd shut off again.
    As of last night, ((9/18/13 )) My phone turned off. I've already gone through the charade numerous times. So I put it on my charger but this time when my phone turned on I didn' have service and it didnt get wifi. Even the red buttons/notifications on my phone were there but didn't read any numbers. Obvioulsy I couldn't make calls or even send a text messages. Sometimes when it turns on I can't even use my apps. Even when fully charged, the moment the chargers is slightly out my phone shuts off as if it died
    Now, my phone even on the charger shuts on and off. I'm unable to use apps. I get no service or wifi.
    Is this fixable? Or has my phone had it's last Hoorah?

Unfortunately in 2012 when I (903.647.0073) upgraded from the iPhone4s to the iPhone 5 I started having reception problems. I started having dropped calls in my home. I had to go outside to get reception without dropped calls. I was told that because of metal in my home I would have to purchase a Network Extender for $250. And we HAVE not metal in our home. AND our other lines all work fine. I felt this was ridiculous. We already pay $350+/month for service and I should NOT have to purchase additional equipment for a service that I already pay for. The manager of our local store at the time gave us at no cost a Samsung Network Extender. It worked beautifully until about a month ago. I went to our local Verizon store and was told that I would have to purchase an extender. THIS is RIDICULOUS. We have been loyal customers for over 7 years and have been very satisfied with our service. Unless this issue can be resolved without purchasing an extender we will be switching our service as our lines come up for renewal. I regret this as we have been very happy with our service. But we should NOT have to purchase anything extra for one line that will not get good reception. Again, we pay $350+/ month for a service that does not work properly, simply RIDICULOUS! Currently the "sys" light flashes red (slow) and the GPS light remains red. Please help this very frustrated customer.

    Regardless with what carrier your with you might have the same issue, My recommendation would be to get a router that will help you with viewing live traffic and keep a tally of your usage and any device connected to your internet connection.  You can go with the peplink balance 20 and be able to look at your traffic by the hour, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.  Look for trends, see what computers or devices are doing what I attached a screen shot so you can see an example of mine.  You can purchase the router at 3gstore

I followed the iCloud instructions and turned on Macbook Pros' system prefs to "find my mac", turned on iPhone4s's "location services" and set up iCloud, etc. In the "Find my iphone" tab of my new iCloud account (on my Macbook Pro) my iPhone4s still won't show—but my macbook does show. I had my iPhone4s set up at the phone store (2 days ago) and It receives gmail, my contacts and calender entries, the weather, etc. I installed the "Find iPhone" app from iTunes on the iPhone4s, synched to iTunes, even reset the phone, but the only device that gets located is my Macbook Pro. I can send a "sound" message to my Mac (and the Mac recieves it) but unable to see the iPhone4s from my Mac, let alone send any message. Any suggestions to get the iPhone4s device to appear in iCloud?

    OK, I figured it out...I deleted the iCloud account off my iPhone (Settings, iCloud, Delete Account), and then added iCloud back in (Settings, iCloud, SignIn)....and then my email (iCloud) and "Find my phone" features worked! Nice!!!!

    My iPhone is still under warranty till 15-Jan-2012.
    About 4 weeksago I’ve noticed that I have problems with my microphone.
    While using speaker mode, I can hear the person I’m talking with on my speaker, yet the person is NOT hearing me.
    Also, while recording video on my iPhone4 camera, it records ONLY video WITHOUT voice.
    Note that the application Voice Memo works fine while I'm recording voice (only) and it works fine on Skype application too.
    Non of the above problems had been noticed during the first 6 months after purchase.
    From discussions on various sites I learn that many iPhone 4 users experience the same phenomena (microphone/speaker/video).
    I had the same phenomena while using iOS 4.3.x and also now with iOS 5.0,
    and as far as I understood it’s probably hardware problem that can only be fixed at Apple service center.
    I leave in Israel and tried to approach Apple authorized distributors/carriers in Israel (iDigital and Orange Partner) for support.
    Both iDigital and Orange (my carrier) responded that they can NOT help me, since my iPhone has NOT been purchased from their stores.

    The warranty is NOT international. The exception is the E.U. which is considered one country for warranty purposes. You will need to physically take the phone to an EU country to get warranty service. You can NOT ship it to them. They will not accept an international shipment for warranty service and they will not ship a replacement internationally.

    It cannot be traced. The service provider can block registration of the phone if it is a US carrier based on the IMEI. If you have the serial number Apple can tell you the IMEI. However, many stolen phones are shipped to other countries, where IMEI blocking for phones from other countries may not be honored. And a sophistcated thief or fence can change the IMEI.
    If your friend did not have a passcode lock on the phone they should immediately change all passwords for email, twitter, facebook, bank sites - essentially anywhere that they use a password. Even if the phone had a passcode lock it is safer to change the passwords.

    When you buy an iPhone in the U.S. it's locked to that country with the carrier you bought it for.
    If you bought the device unlocked in the U.S. it's unlocked, you can use it on any carrier. Even one's outside the country.
    If you want to do a repair on a device you bought in the U.S. and your using it in another country, you must send it back to the U.S. Why? That's where you bought it from.
    AppleCare Protection Plans and AppleCare Limited Warranties are registered to your hardware.
    Your hardware is your iPhone.
    Wherever hardware that was bought then that's the country it was designed to be used in and that's where it was manufactured.
    Apple is very localized - if you call U.S. tech support, you'll speak to somone in your country.
    So, what does all this mean?
    In order to do a repair, you need to send it back to the country you got it from.
    And we're all customers like you. We understand that you're upset, but Apple isn't gonna bend the rules to one individual.
    Policy is policy. Get over it.

Remember at the time, said husband had a work phone with T-mobile. I still have the very same phone as do all of the rest of my family members. No one has upgraded. I spoke with "customer service" for more than a half an hour today, Char promised me that her supervisor (Emily) would call me back by 7:30 tonight to clear up this problem. Well guess what?   • Sync problem on iPhone4 IOS5 and iTunes 10.5: Sync service failed to start

    After painful upgrade to IOS 5.0 on my iPone 4 which suffer from er 3014 unt I do full restore in other computer. Now two new problems cropped up again:
    A.
    When I sync IPhone with iTunes, the sync process started and freeze at "waing f sync service to start" and for 5 minutes or so, it end up with a dialog stated that the iPhone could not be synced because sync service failed to start
    To remedy, I have to click t start Sync again, and thios time, it will be completed.
    To solve tjhis, I have done the following, and the probelm still persist:
    a. Reinstal,l to repair iTunes
    b. Delete the Lockup folder
    c. Reset sync history
    d. reboot iPhone
    All cannot solve the problem. Help please, how to solve this problem?
    Also, when I backup my iPhone, it freeze at "Backing up iPhone" fr about 10-15 minutes, then start backup, until nearly finished, then it restart backup process again by itself, and again, freezing at "Backing up iPhone" for another 5 minutes, then it start backup and complete. I check the backup time in Preferences, it's correct.
    To solve this, I delete the backup, and start new backup, the process went OK. But when I start backup again, the above symptom (backing up, and restart backup again to complete) persist
    I have quite a rough experiences with iTunes-iPhone-iPad sync and backup all the times. Can the sync and backup process mad better and real trouble free Apple?
    Help and suggestion please. I sync iPhone and iPad2 with WIndow XP PC. iPad2 do not have problem. The problem is with iPhone4 IOS 5 32 GB (less than 2 GB free space on iPhone remains)

    I have very similar problems with my brand new iPhone and iTunes.  iTunes is virtually unusable even after multiple installs, uniinstalls, and reinstalls. Sync fails silently. Drop-down menus won't stay visible long enough to click any options.   Phone-support blames it on the fact that I use Windows XP however the iTunes page says right there: "iTunes 10.5 for Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7".  The only program I have problems with is iTunes.
    He said I have to revert to iOS 4 but he also said he thought that was impossible.  What does the OS on my phone have to do with the behavior of iTunes running on my computer?  iTunes crashed and had failures both before and after I updated to iOS 5.  Typical bad tech support just like every other company.  I thought Apple was different. Apple really stepped in it this time and it stinks.  I've seen a huge number of new problem reports here and elsewhere.
