Iphone4 not compatible with Mercedes Command

I just upgraded from iphone3 to iphone4 and I've noticed:
1. I cannot connect my phone to the Mercedes cradle. It just doesnt fit.
2. I cannot find the Mercedes cradle when discovering it from my iphone Bluetooth
3. The contact names in the Command centre have disappeared and only show phone numbers instead.
When will these 3 problems be fixed?
I guess I need to wait for Mercedes for the first problem, but I guess Apple are responsible for the other two problems?

All of it would be through Mercedes-Benz. It is a firmware issue of probable outdated drivers. You would have to search on Google for "firmware drivers" along with the make and model of your vehicle.
A few of the past generation models (2000-2010 hearsay) have support online for firmware drivers. Some of the cars such as "Ford Sync" systems contain USB Firmware transfers. Other vehicles require burning the drivers to CD/DVD, then putting it into your stereo to update the firmware.
The dock part would be sold by Mercedes if they have a replacement dock from 3G and 3GS modeling to iPhone 4 docking. If not, maybe in the near future. Several tech companies build updates to the hardware within six months of the release date.
But the drivers should be right off if there are any from Mercedes. The drivers would be through them or through other parties that have collected the drivers.

  • ICS 4.04 Not Compatible With Mercedes NTG 2.5

My Mercedes has bluetooth NTG 2.5.  The LG Lucid was tested only for NTG 4.5.
NTG 4.5 was just introduced in 2012 so any Mercedes's bluetooth older will not work.
Mine is a 2009 SLK and would expect that a car that new would be compatible with ICS.
Any ideas on this?  When will Google update 4.04 to resolve this?

Soccerdog, I can see that you're well ground on the Bluetooth profiles of the LG Lucid and your car. From our compatibility list, I show that the LG Lucid does not appear to be compatible with your Bluetooth car kit in your car. I do not have information on whether a future software update will support prior car kit versions. You can see details of compatibility here: http://bit.ly/XxJm60.

  • Iphone4 not compatible with tmobile

I bought a used iphone 4 but discovered that it had no area for a sim card.  I am a TMobile customer.  What is the best way/easiest way for me to switch phones?  Does Apple have a program for that?  Who would I contact?  I went to the apple store and they told me to check on line but I found nothing.

Sounds like you bought a Verizon phone. They were the first CDMA phone, an iPhone 4 and it did not have a SIM card slot. For T-Mobile, you need a GSM phone. You should have known that prior to buying the phone. However, since you have it now, you need to try and sell it to recoup your money so you can buy a GSM version phone. Apple does not have a buyback or tradein program. You need to sell it and purchase a phone that will work for you. It also will need to be an unlocked phone for it to work with T-Mobile, since they are not a supported carrier of the iPhone.

The problem of working across a network is that it's not supported by Adobe:
This is the boilerplate text often used in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406793.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • Auvio fm transmitter/charger not compatible with iPhone4 suddenly??

Ever since I updated to iOS5 my phone will not play music or charge with any of my accessories. The only way to charge my phone is with the USB cord that came with my phone... Very irritating since I've spent a bunch of money on these accessories. Is there anything I can do to make them work or is this another Apple issue I have to "wait" out??

I have just been down this route.
I had an old Belkin Tunecast II that I used with my Ipod Touch. When I got my 3GS, I thought I'd get an Iphone compatible one to compliment it and avoid the nag message telling me "this accessory is not compatible with the Iphone..blah blah..airplane mode...blah"
Anyway, with the old Tunecast, you just slotted the Ipod Touch in place and there were several interchangeable supporting cradles...easy.
The new Belkin is a pain and requires you not only to slot the Iphone into the cradle, but also insert a lead into the headset jack!! What a backwards step!
The Griffin was fine for a day..then stopped working! The Ipod was playing, but nothing was being transmitted to the stereo.
So, I've gone back to the old Tunecast! I've removed the cradle and my Iphone sits quite happily resting against the back of the unit. I get the message about a non-compatible accessory, but it transmits and charges the phone fine.
So until something better comes out..I'm sticking with "old faithful"

I´ve tried everything listed in http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2529 but with no luck.
I can use the backup from my old iPhone4 but my most recent one from the 5S itself, before the ios update, always reports the same error.

Maybe there is a newer setup installer? But I can't find it.

  • Cannot update to 3.5 on older MacPro and 3.5 not compatible with 3.4.5

It appears that you cannot update Aperture to 3.5 on older Macs. Worse yet the new update is not compatible with the previous version.
    The questions are  ---
Is this a temproary issue or a permanent issue?
Can I regress back to version 3.4.5 to get my compatibility back ?
I have multiple computers I use to work on my photography.
I use a older Mac Pro Vintage late 2007 that cannot be updated beyond OS 10.7.5. This is currently my primary photo computer.
With 3ghz Quad cores and over a terabyte of drive space no need to update yet except for not being able to load the latest OS.
I also use a MacBookPro Vintage Late 2011 and it was just updated to Mavericks. I use this to edit my photos on the go.
I will consider updating to the latest Mac Pro when it becomes available but what to do until then and a warning to others.

Actually, I had this same problem - accidentally upgraded my library on my Mac Air to 3.5, but am not running Aperture 3.5 on any of my other, older Macs.  I *was* able to downgrade the library back to 3.4.5.  BAsically, I had to open the library on a computer running Aperture 3.4.5 in library repair mode (holding down command and option when opening).  In the ensuing dialog I had to choose to rebuild the library.  I first tried just repairing, and it seemed to work, but next time I opened Aperture I got the "library can't be opened iwth an older version of Aperture" message.  Rebuilding it seems to have done the trick.
A more detailed explanation (though not written for this particular scenario) is here:
         http://www.apertureexpert.com/faq/common-aperture-questions-issues-and-rep/how-d o-i-repair-or-rebuild-my-aperture-library-or-permission.html
Having restored the library to 3.4.5 format, I downgraded Aperture on my Air to 3.4.5 as well and it's been smooth sailing.  Just make sure you have Mavericks set up to *NOT* automatically update your apps, or you'll end up in the same situtation all over again when it silently upgrades Aperture to 3.5 again.
    Good luck!

    Regards,
johnJohn, you need to use the RMAN binary which is located in bin folder of Oracle Database (ie /u01/oracle/product/10.2/db1/bin). You shouldn't use "rman which comes with Oracle 11g client".
If you are using windows, run the following commands in command prompt and then copy/paste the output:
    echo 5ORACLE_HOME%
    echo %PATH%
If you are using unix, run the following commands in terminal and then copy/paste the output:
    echo $ORACLE_HOME
    echo $PATH

    Hello qqnicol,
    What program do you run?
Please contact the software provider to confirm if this 32-bit program can run in 64-bit Windows.
As some programs can only run in specific version of Windows, please download the right version of software.
Most programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows will work on the 64-bit version of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.
Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows don't work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows too.

  • My old tool bar is not compatible with Firefox 4 Beta. How do I get rid of 4 Beta and go back to my old Firefox browser?

One of my social networks, MyYearbook.com , has it's own tool bar, which I use extensively. But, for some reason, it is not compatible with the new Firefox 4 beta, and will not load.
How do I uninstall 4 beta and go back to my older version of Firefox?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).<br />
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.<br />
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.<br />
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
*Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar

  • HT1766 Error message: "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone.  Delete the backup for this iPhone, then try again." But how do I delete the backup?

Error message when attempting to backup up iPhone4S to Mac says "iTunes could not back up the iphone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone.  Delete the backup for this iPhone, then try again." But how do I delete the backup? Can't find answer to that anywhere.

We had this problem after upgrading to iOS 8.       The iPhone 5 would not backup either to the cloud or to the computer.   Backup always ended with an error message.
Long story short, with the help of iFunBox ( which I used to make manual backups of some important iPhone data files ), I discovered two games that
would crash iFunBox.      They were not important games for us, so I didn't try to isolate the offending data files.     And I deleted the two games from the iPhone.
Apparently these two games conflicted with iOS 8 just as they did with iFunBox.      The next backup without those games was then successful.
I backed up to both the Mac and the cloud.
    Hope this helps.
