IPhone4 sync perfect. iPhone3g (which is in recovery mode) will not sync?

The 3g does not have a working SIM card installed.
It is running off of iOS 4.?.?

Once you set your Exchange Calendar as the default here:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > scroll down to Default Calendar > Select your Exchange calendar
All new events should be created in your Exchange calendar unless manually changed.

HT201263 my iphone 4 went into recovery mode & will not restore. Unknown error 21 comes up on iTunes. Please can someone offer any ideas for a solution?

I have an iphone 4 nearly 2 yrs old. It has worked perfectly for that time. On Friday last (whilst away on holiday) I took the phone out of my pocket & it was lifeless. I tried switching it on, no joy, I tried the power/home button reset no joy. I plugged it into a mains charger & it came on but had a banner across the screen saying "verification required". I removed the charger & decided I would try again when I got home so I could connect to my PC & iTunes.
At home I went through the whole above process again but when I plugged it into the mains again it just had the Apple logo going on/off repeatedly. I plugged the phone into my PC & the apple logo appeared followed by the "connect to iTunes". In iTunes I get the banner "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes". So I click on "OK" the "Restore" then a banner asking if I'm sure I want to restopre the iPhone appears, press "Restore & Update". iTunes starts to remove the software, veryfies it with Apple & then another flag "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (21) which appears to be a security issue.
I thought the above problem was something to do with O2 because I picked up my new iPhone 4S last Tuesday but was unable to set it up until I got back from my holiday, O2 say it isn't anything they've done.
My question is has it happened to anyone & can anybody offer a solution, is it a hardware or software issue?

Black Screen, unable to come out of recovery mode, will not restore. Uhh...

Okay. So my phone has a completely black screen, and will not turn on or off. When I connect it to iTunes, it says it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, and it must be restored. I attempt to restore it, and it goes through the entire restoration process (all the while with a totally black screen), and a window pops up that says that it was successfully restored, and to leave it plugged in, this message will close in 3,2,1.... and as soon as the window disappears, the process starts all over, with iTunes exclaiming that it noticed an iPhone in recovery mode, would I like to restore it?
I've tried basically everything there is to try, about eighteen thousand times a piece. This is really the worst possible time for my phone to break down, as I'm in the middle of a really important internship (which necessitates use of my phone), and I can't really get to an apple store.

Did you check your security software settings, to allow iTunes to contact Apple during the process?

Iphone 3gs stuck in recovery mode, will not restore or update error 36

As the title states, I have a 3gs stuck in recovery mode. Sort of worked earlier today, been having trouble with the battery draining fast/not holding charge goes into recovery mode on its own at times. Have been able to force it out of recovery in the past but now it is just showing a USB cable going into an iTunes logo. I can't get it to restore/update and before it got stuck it would not update or restore either. Before you ask, I have no idea what iOS I have, this **** thing didn't start messing up until I plugged it into my computer.

Update: I have uninstalled and re-downloaded iTunes, Tried with a different computer, tried with a different iTunes account. None of these did anything for me. I have no idea what to do next, nearest apple store is more than an hour away.

My phone lately has been searching for service constantly, I would say that 80%of my day my phone is searching for service. There was a software update for I think 8.1.2, my phone didn't have enough storage, so I tried to do it through iTunes, when I did that, I got the connect to iTunes screen and couldn't get past it. So now I have put my phone into recovery mode and have run into nothing but issues. One iTunes will not let me update the software, secondly I can't restore it, I get a pop up saying something that my device isn't recognized. Phone will not get out of recovery mode/will not update or restore

Iphone will not get out of recovery mode. I have pressed the home and lock screen at the same time, and nothing happens. I connected it to iTunes to try to update my phone or restore it, and it will not do anything. The progress bar shows up on the screen but does not make any progress and iTunes says it cannot connect to my phone. I have tried everything and went to the AT&T store and they told me to contact Apple support. What do I do now?

easiest way i have found to resolve the issue is go into itunes while phone is plugged in. you will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music. select music and where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right (dont worry your music should be saved on the computer) once the sync is complete re check the music sync option. ive noticed this to work 95% of the time......hope this helps

I copied several albums into itumes and synced with my iphone. Three albums did not sync. I tried several time and even tried to sync all music. The same three albums will not sync. They do play from itunes on my computer. Thoughts?

HT5826 My notes and markings will not sync on my iphone, only on mini and ipod

I download books and magazines from A website and study using underlining, notes, and highlighting. These markings will sync between my ipod and mini ipad, but will not sync with my 5s phone. Ive been to one on ones and genius as well as icloud phone appt. apple says the problem is with the website, but if so, why would two devices be able to sync and the other not?
All my devices run IOS7.1 the same operating system, they all have sync bookmarks and collections turned on, they all have the same ibooks 3.2 (2083)
My phone carrier Verizon says they dont deal with ibooks.
I'm just about worn out with this one.

On the iPhone, in Settings try de-selecting the sync and then adding it back. You might want to put it in the airplane mode for a couple of minutes to make sure the sync is broken.

Video Podcasts Will Not Sync; Audio Podcasts Do

They are there. They are now under the "Video" app on the first page of your device. Seems like a pointless change to me. It took me a couple of days to find mine, too.

This sounds like you're syncing your calendars using iTunes. To sync your calendar over iCloud and have each device update automatically, you will need to do the same as I said in my last reply:
You first will need an iCloud account and you will need to turn on calendar sync in System Preferences > iCloud.
After this, make sure your iDevice is set up with the same iCloud account and your calendar should show up after a few minutes.
To clarify:
On the Mac, iCloud settings are under System Preferences > iCloud.
On an iDevice, iCloud settings are in the Settings app under iCloud.
