IPhone4 Upgraded to IOS 7.1.2. Photos associated with Contacts now display as thumbnail pictures when receiving calls . How do I enlarge display.

You weren't the only one that wanted the full screen photos back. There were a lot of complaints and they are back in iOS 8 but that doesn't help you with iOS 7.1.2 unfortunately.

  • Iphone4s upgrade to 7.0

IPHONE4S upgraded to OS7.0 and my purchased/free apps not in my window?
Need to go to the App store in the purchased column to open them? WHY????

When I updated to iOS 7, my apps were all pushed 1 page to the right, so they're probably there, just swipe your app pages to the right.

By "sos mode" do you mean recovery mode?  If so, you have to connect it to iTunes and restore it.

So my upgrade for Verizon is in October and I'm planning on upgrading when that time comes. How much would it cost to upgrade to the iphone4 with the discount?

If you have an NE2 credit to use, you will add either $30, $50, or $100 to these (depending on your calling plan):
    $199 for the 16gb
    $299 for the 32 gb

  • IPhone4 Upgrade to 4.1: No Longer Receive Calls At Home

The wife and I both have the iphone4 and it had been working great until we updated to ios 4.1. Since then neither of us can receive calls or texts at home. We can make calls no problem and send texts as well but we are constantly missing calls, voicemails and text messages. It's not uncommon for us to receive a text 4 hours after it was sent or for a voicemail to show up out of no where.
I'm not 100% positive this problem started because of ios 4.1 but it is really the only thing that has changed on our iphones in the past two weeks when all this started.
Being that we have no home phones, this problem is extremely frustrating for us. I was on the phone with AT&T for around 30 minutes attempting to fix the problem, they thought they had it but literally 10 minutes after I hung up with them problem came back. Restarting the phones usually fixes the problem for 5 to 10 minutes.
I did a full restore to both iphones but the only option I saw during the restore was to install version 4.1 again. I wanted to go back to 4.0.2. Did I do something wrong during the restore? Can I get our phones back to version 4.0.2?
I appreciate any help you can give.

My signal bar is decent at home 2 to 4 bars typically. The 3G is great all the time. When I call others they usually sound fine. I can't remember the last time we had a dropped call at home, it almost never happens.
I don't think I can manually select the carrier.
I'll give AT&T another call and ask about congestion status. I've been meaning to anyway, they told me if the problem persists to call them back. I just need to have both phones on me at the time which can be hard to cooridinate.

  • Iphone4 upgrade info please

    Hi,
Based on Apple's past practices, is Apple/AT&T likely to offer any special upgrade offers when the new iphone is released?
My wife and I both bought iphone3gs phones in Nov '09. I was just wondering if there might be any special offers to upgrade to the new phone.
    Thanks.

More than likely, the next generation iPhone will be subsidized by AT&T as was and is currently being done with the 3G and 3GS. As with any other subsidized phone, you must fulfill your existing contract for an existing subsidized phone before qualifying for AT&T's upgrade or fully subsidized price with any new phone.
On average, most AT&T subscribers qualify for AT&T's upgrade or fully subsidized price with a new phone at the 18 month mark of an existing two year contract for an existing subsidized phone. If the 3GS iPhones were purchased at AT&T's fully subsidized or discounted price last November, you will not qualify for AT&T's upgrade or fully subsidized price for a new phone anytime this year - definitely not this summer if a new iPhone is released this summer.
Last year, AT&T offered an early upgrade price for the 3GS - for those subscribers who don't qualify for AT&T's fully subsidized price with a new phone, which is cheaper than the full retail sales price, and this remains in effect now. AT&T may offer the same with the next generation iPhone when released for someone like yourself who won't qualify for AT&T's fully subsidized price when the next generation iPhone is released.
AT&T's current pricing for the iPhone is as follows:
New and Qualified Customers (fully subsidized price).
    3G - $99 for the 8GB & $149 for the 16GB.
    3GS - $199 for the 16GB & $299 for the 32GB.
Early Upgrade Price (for existing subscribers who don't qualify for AT&T's fully subsidized price).
    3G - $299 for the 8GB & $349 for the 16GB.
    3GS - $399 for the 16GB & $499 for the 32GB.
Full Retail Sales Price - no contract or no-committment price.
    3G - $499 for the 8GB & $549 for the 16GB.
    3GS - $599 for the 16GB & $699 for the 32GB.

  • IPad2 and iPhone4 upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 and iCloud-- duplicate app issues

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to lion a while back (have had lots of problems ever since, but that's another story).  Recently synced and upgraded my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 and iCloud.  This has resulted in some of my apps on both devices seeming to have duplicates.  How can I determine if these are true duplicates and which can be eliminated?   How do I get rid of apps I don't want?

The easiest way is in iTunes.
In your iTunes Library, clickApps on the left hand side. That'll give you the full list, so the first thing you can see is whether you have duplicates in iTunes. I suggest you show the Version and release Date columns (right click a column header and choose them from the list) so you can see whether you have multiple versions.
If you have 2 the same, one might be for iPad and one for iPhone - not all apps are Universal.
Once you're happy that list is straight, connect the devices to iTunes, go to the Apps tab for each device, and uncheck the ones you don't want on that device
    Hope that helps

  • IPhone4s upgrade to ios8,down!

My 4S upgraded to iOS8,successfully. Later on when I reboot it, the **** phone down. It keep reboot --> upgrade -->reboot. The only thing I can do is type the passcode and wait. I tried to plug it into PC using itunes , but no use. Itunes cannot recognize my phone.
The one last thing I can do is using itunes to reset iphone, but it will delete all my data which I really don't want.
So hey guys, is there anyone can help me with that? Any suggestion will be thankful.
    Roger Han

    Hey luizmba,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with a built in application on your iPhone 5. I also understand that you have attempted to reset your iPhone. If the issue persists after a reset, the next step is to restore your device as new:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

  • Iphone4s upgrade to iphone5

how much it will cost the iphone 4s upgrade to iphone 5

Not according to that CNN report I posted, or the TV news reports I saw with this morning's news.
    To quote from CNN:
The new in-store program will be operated via a third-party re-seller, Brightstar (the online recycling program is run through PowerOn). Prices may vary between in-store and online trade-ins, although there are fewer limitations with Apple's online option. You get store credit that can be used towards any product, and no contract is necessary. Right now, a top of the line, mint-condition iPhone 5 can net $406 in Apple store credit.
Although reading that article, it is a little confusing about what limitations the instore program, versus the online one has, so you may be right.
added:  it also seems that by accepting the instore offer, you will be renewing your contract committment with your carrier as well, even if you are out of contract at the time?  At least that is what Forbes is reporting?
Does not appear to be a clear consensus of the rules of the program in the various news sources - which is annoying.

  • Iphone4 upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 phone crash

decided to upgrade my op system from 4.1 to 4.2
followed instructions but now phone is not reconised by computer and phone has link to iplayer massage on screen.
Apple fayult finding recomended removing latest version of its self and tthen reinstallation which was performed ok (has this deleted my origional phone back up apple?).
iphone 4 iss still us any one got any suggestions as apples online help is realy quite poor on this matter and shurly i cannot be the first to encounter this problem...

    David,
ACS full software's are not listed on CCO (even if you have a valid contract)and can be provided via TAC.
To upgrade ACS we need to have a software upgrade contract.
I would suggest to open a case with TAC and most likely upgrade should be covered in your existing contract since it is a minor upgrade.
You can also touch base with Cisco rep assigned to you site.
Let me know if you have any question.

  • IPhone4 upgrade to 4.3 - phone now frozen not recognised in iTunes or on PC

    Hi
I've just attempted upgrading my iPhone to 4.3 but all I get now is the 'USB connect to iTunes' graphic on the iPhone screen.
My phone is not recognised in iTunes or on my PCs My Computer, although the PC does recognise the phone as new hardware describing it as Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)
I started the process by syncing the iPhone to iTunes, then downloaded 10.2.1.1 then the 4.3 upgrade. This was all managed by prompts in iTunes. I left it for half an hour to do the upgrade and when I got back it was asking to reboot my PC (running Windows XP). I'm guessing it hadn't completed the iTunes upgrade before asking to upgrade the iPhone.
I've tried a reset but all I get is the apple logo followed by the connect to iTunes logo.
I've not had a problem with any previous upgrades.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
There may be third-party software that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize entry into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause these errors. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance or follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Verify that access to ports 80 and 443 are allowed on your network.
Verify that communication to albert.apple.com or photos.apple.com is not blocked by a firewall, or other Internet security setting.
Discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps underAdvanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations.
Restore your device while connected to a different network.

  • My iphone4 Upgrading to 5.0, feel screen distorted, and lose aesthetic feeling.

I'm not sure of the slight question whether it will be more and more people found, but I do think it has obvious difference.

Thanks for the update, others are now also reporting this problem is related to use of the Babylon toolbar.

  • HT4623 iphone4 upgrade to ios7 now need to restore

Help! I updated to ios7, my phone has itunes symbol and cable pic. Online I saw that I needed to connect to itunes but I never synced to my desktop. Stopped at Verizon and was told to install itunes, plug in and it will work. On itunes I get the error that it recognizes a phone in recovery mode and must restore befor using itunes. I have no idea how to restore a phone that is locked with the itunes logo and pic of cable.

    Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
    Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.
