Iphone5 Bluetooth in car crackles

Crackles and electronic squeaking during calls very often. Any suggestions as to cause/remedy would be appreciated.

I noticed the same problem with new iphone5. Realized that volume on iphone was lower than I normally set it, and car device had volume turned up all the way. Increased phone vol and decreased car device vol. I do not notice static any longer. Sounds too simple, but worked for me.

I am trying to pair my iPhone 5 with the bluetooth in my car. It was connected, and worked just great.
Somehow, the connection was lost. I try to pair, and I get a message saying "Unable to find device" and it suggests that I am out of range (I am not).
Any help is much appreciated.

Is the car still listed in the Bluetooth of the iPhone? If not, then is Bluetooth turned on? If you turn Bluetooth off/on for the phone, what happens? Have you updated devices lately, changed phones, etc.? If the car is listed in the Bluetooth on the phone, then delete it, power the phone off/on and then try again.

Since updating to iOS 5, my bluetooth and signal have been destroyed. Before the update, the phone worked perfectly, connecting to my bluetooth in car for both calls and music. Reception was also perfect. Now, my bluetooth doesnt work, and I cant be heard

Since I updated my iphone 4 software from 4.3.3/4.3.5 - bought brand new only 2 weeks before the update came out - to iOS 5, my bluetooth no longer works in me ford fiesta and when I ring people, they literally can not hear a word I say. It has nothing to do with poor signal areas as they are the same areas I was in with the same phone before the software update! i have even sent for a replacement phone and received a reconditioned phone (after paying excess charge - JOKE!) and the same problem occured when I updated again. I cannot believe there is no downgrade as this iOS 5 is a shambles and to be honest, I see very little difference in terms of apps and photos so i have no idea why apple are recommending this upgrade!
Is there anything I can do to improve the fact that nobody can hear me on the phone when I speak?!! Or are apple going to insist I keep a phone that is of no use to me if I can't actually use it as a PHONE!

Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all??

Roadster 2 does NOT work well with the iPhone 5 s, has to be unlocked for Seri to work. An older Motorola blue tooth device the T 325 does work fine, speaker is not as great as the Roadster. It is cheaper and simpler. Verizon, who sold me the iPhone and Roadster does not seem to know this, I'll be returning the Roadster ASAP. This was the second unit Verizon sold me, the first only announced the number calling and could not access my contacts.

first you must put your iphone in the discover mode by going to bluetooth on your phone which places it in discovery mode. Them you must go to your car's bluetooth discovery mode and place it in discovery mode. If the phone sees the car and visa versa, the car will give you a code to place into your phone. Once you put the code into the phone the two will be linked. Make sure that your car has "automatic" link set so that your phone will link every time you turn on the ignition. Refer to your car's manual for more help or go to your dealer, they should be able to help you or even do it for you, but you need to know how to be able to discover and then link bluetooth devices yourself because every bluetooth device uses the same discovery formula especially if you want to use your IOS devices to play music through your system using bluetooth.

Yep, it will be specific to your model car, so you will need to look in the manual. It may be as simple as 0000, or not.

Yes, BT on the iPhone only has profiles for hands-free, audio, tethering and control. It does not support file transfer profiles.

IPhone5 Bluetooth feedback in car

Hi, I'm not sure if this question was asked before. I could not get in search results. I conected my new iphone5 with Sonata without any issues. But during calls, the receiver on other side is complaining of feedbacks. Is it because that iphone is sending back the voice from car speakers instead of filtering it? I dont have any issues, but person on receiving side hears their own voice which is quite annoying for them. Appreicate any help on fixing this issue.

It might be the background noise. If your windows are down, roll them up. Park your car. Then try your voice command again. If that doesn't work, pick up the phone and try your command at the mic level of the iPhone.

As amy_lou said, iTunes will recognize both phones as different devices. If they have the same name, rename one of them so it is easier to recognize which is which. This explains how to do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3965.

I have an iphone 5 and have using it with my motorola hands free bluetooth kit, it keeps dropping calls. Does anyone have one they would reccomend?

I have the Apple Bluetooth. Works great for me since day one. Some complaints out there though it may be like the iPhone and just be certain ones are glitched. Pretty cool to have a travel charger that keeps the iPhone and headset together.. and a dock as well that does the same.
