Iphone5 with latest IOS won't Backup to Icloud

I Have done the stps but there is no backup option and last time it backed up was September 16th. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Not sure what the error is when you try to backup. It sounds like you can't even enable it.
Please check this article for issues backing up to iCloud.

I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple.

The update to iOS 5.0 & higher is an erase/restore deal, so make sure you follow the directions here to update your phone:

Try Googling "sync without iTunes".
There are free alternatives and there are not so free alternatives.
Btw, to check if AVG is causing the problem, you should uninstall AVG and not just "turn it off".
Also, can you describe how you go about uninstalling a program? For example, how did you "delete" iTunes?

If your phone is signed into your old iCloud ID ("email"), you need to delete the existing account then sign back in with your new ID. To do this go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. connect your phone to itunes on your computer select the phone from the left and then select the summary tab. Go down to to automatically backup and select either icloud or itunes

Set up the phone as a new phone, not from the backup. Go to Settings > General > Software Update, and perform the update. Then go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings to repeat the setup, and this time choose Restore from backup.

Ipad mini iOS 8.1.2 won't backup anywhere; icloud or itunes

Got an iPad mini, trying to backup to iCloud. When I go to the iCloud settings, click Storage, then Manage Storage, then this iPad, the Backup Options just spins. Never been backed up.
Tried hard reset. No change.
Deleted non-existent backup, hard reset, turned backup back on; no change.
Turned iCloud Drive off; no
Tried backup to iTunes on Mac; cannot back up because an error occurred.
Tried backup to iTunes on a windows machine; cannot back up because an error occurred.

It's also an issue I encountered with my iPhone 5 eversince I upgraded to iOS 8.1.0. I can't backup my phone using both iCloud (with error: The last backup could not be completed) and iTunes (with error: iTunes could not backup the iPhone because an error occurred).
When my battery was replaced by Apple Store, they formatted my fone and installed iOS 8.1.1. Before restoring my data (iOS 8.0.0 backup), I did a quick backup for both and they were successful. When I restored my data, the backup problem recurred. I also updated my phone to iOS 8.1.2, but still the problem was not resolved.
WIthin the week, I'll be receiving my iPhone 6 Plus but I up to now, I don't have a backup yet for my data.

It depends on how much you want the new apps. iOS 7 did slow down the iPhone 4 a little bit. Not a lot, but you will notice a bit of lag for awhile. You should get used to it and you will then be able to download the newer apps you are interested in.
iOS 7 does look very different from iOS 6. They did away with all the faux leather, stitching, glossy reflections and other skeuomorphic touches that had been the iPhones trademark look since the beginning. Google iOS 7 images and you will see what I mean. I personally like the "flat" look that they went with in 7 and the other features that come with it make up for it.
Some people do have a problem with battery life on their phones, but I think a lot of that comes from using the phone a lot in the beginning to see all the new stuff. But if you set it up the way you like and turn off the real battery drainers like push email and the screen animations (I got tired of those really fast anyway, I just want an app to open, I don't need to see it spring out of the icon) and your battery life should not be worse than what you are used to.
You will see a huge jump in performance between an iPhone 4 and a 5S.

Problems with latest ios update today 7.0.6

I tried to update latest ios 7.0.6 today and ph is now frozen...when I turn off it comes back on showing to plug into itunes...when I do that, itunes says it detected ph in recovery mode & ph must be restored before it can be used with itunes....when I click on restore button it goes through a 15 -20 minute process and then basically says the same thing again.
I can't turn the ph off nor can I use it in current state keeps showing to plug into itunes...

if the same issue occurs id unplug from cpu > turn off and back on then plug into cpu and hold both lock and home button at same time until the itunes smbol with plug appears again and then try to restore again

Video function is gone with latest ios 6.1.3 update

I updated to 6.1.3 today and the camera/video button was no longer on my phone, as well as albums in the photo gallery. It had reverted to camera only like the old 3gs. I restored with my latest backup which was fortunately not too long age and the camera/video button and albums returned. Nice update...

If you can't track it through iCloud, then there is nothing else you can do.
The phone needs to be powered on and have an Internet connection to show up on iCloud.
If the phone was using iOS 7, it won't be able to be restored without your AppleID and password.

Cisco 891 not getting IP address with DHCP with latest IOS

Hi,
I have a few Cisco 891 routers that are configured as DHCP clients on the WAN interface.
For some reason when I boot the router with a late IOS, the router is not receiving an address.
It works just as expected with the older IOSes.
Any ideas of what changed?
This is how the interface is configured:
interface FastEthernet8
ip address dhcp
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
duplex auto
speed auto
no cdp enable
This IOS does not work:

While these do work:

Doing a "show ip interface brief" shows that FastEthernet8 is unassigned with the affected IOS.
With the older IOSes there is an IP address.
I had to downgrade two routers due to this issue, and did not have plenty of time to troubleshoot.
Both of the routers are connected to DSL from the same ISP...
Anyone seen anything like this before?

I have a MacBookPro3,1 that connects to WIFI no problem. It used to connect to ethernet when I originally bought it, however I've been using WIFI exclusively for the past 2 years.
Recently I had a need to connect via ethernet and it wouldn't work at home (apple airport router). I next tried connecting via ethernet at a friends house using a linksys WRT54G, no dice either. I have the computer in the lab today (University Network) and I get the same error. 3 different locations, 3 different routers, all same problem. It used to connect to home and university networks ethernet right away.
IP address assigned is 169.xxx.xxx.xxx - subnet - 255.255.0.0
no other info. It's showing up as connecting to the network, but unable to communicate with DHCP. It does work if I enter all of the information in manually.
At first I thought I had messed something up in networking preferences as I tend to play around with things alot. However I did a complete system format, and fresh install of OSX Lion and I still have the same problem, without any of my meddling around to confuse things.
What gives?
