IPhone5s won't upgrade to 8.0.2 and NO cellular connection

Just the last 2 days, I've had no cellular connection at all. Tried to update the iOS to the latest 8.0.2, as I had put it off waiting for others feedback, but the phone wouldn't update it reporting a fault. Read a bit online and some recommended using the Mac/iTunes to perform the upgrade.....nope. Same issues right at the end of verifying the software after downloading and installing, Fault1. Leaves my phone locked in recovery mode until I can restore it - which iTunes won't do as it can only do so whilst upgrading to the latest software....doh
Apple Support assisted me in getting this far and now left to go into a branch to either try their pc/iTunes incase its my hardware, otherwise its the iPhones hardware somehow and it needs replacing....on the last day of the warranty.
Now, I'm happy I've been helped this far and guided through options to sort it but know that by chance, if Id left it another day, Id be without a phone due to the end of warranty and all due to no fault of my own - its all because I tried to upgrade my iOS! How does that work?
Apple have really Fd up with this one and I've never had an issue ever in the past. Just to add to my woes, they upgrade Safari and its a pain in the a##e too.
Will really need to go some to sort this one out. First time in 14 years I've been unhappy with an Apple product/service.

If you mean outside your home Wi-Fi then yes you will possibly need a Sign In Password..
If you are referring to your home wireless network then surely you have the Login details..
Try Rebooting your iPad..Clearing out the Wi-Fi networks and start over...

After upgrading to iOS 8.0.2, my iPhone5 won't sync with my Mac. When I connect the two with my USB cable, the phone connects for an instant then disconnects then reconnects and continues with this loop indefinitely. Incidentally, I can no longer tether my phone with my Mac via Bluetooth either. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Can you connect via WiFi? I have not tried connecting with Bluetooth or USB, but since I upgraded to IOS8 I have had issues with my phone properly broadcasting the WiFi. It works very intermittently.

Reinstalling the usb driver in win7 by going to device mgr/ portable devices and then directing the computer to search the apple folder ...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. did the trick.

Last night I upgrade my Intel Mac to 10.4.8 and then Entourage won't
open- I click on it and the Mail screen briefly comes up before "The
application Entourage quit unexpectedly" comes up.
I do some searching around and I am like oh it must be because I need
to upgrade office to the 11.3.0 so I go to the website and download it
for Office 2004 which is what I have and when I try to run the update
the same thing happens: "The Application Office 2004 update blah blah
blah quit unexpectedly." So I try to update instead using Microsoft
Autoupdate and it downloads the file, asks me for my password, etc...
but then nothing happens- no update, no error message, just nothing at
all. The Autoupdate window closes and thats about it.
I am at a loss at this point. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Please don't say reinstall Office because I don't have the disks
anymore but my version is definately legal!

Michael, my guess is that you've installed a third party utility to modify the OS in some way, and it's broken. We've seen, for example, people who installed utilities that were supposed to improve network operation unable to get reliable network connections as a result.
There's a utility that can remove unnecessary components from the OS. Unless used with caution, it can kill Rosetta.
Haxies can break after an OS update. That's not Apple's fault, and it's a reason I don't install haxies such as Shape Shifter, for example.
Does this happen with other PPC applications that have to run under Rosetta?
What to do: If you've installed third party utilities that modify OS functions, remove them one at a time and restart. Try Entourage after each restart.
BTW I don't suspect smcFanControl as the culprit.

iTunes won't upgrade to10.5. I'm on 10.1.17.
When installing 10.5 it terminates with an error message "There is a problem with the Windows installer package. Contact the package vendor".
It does not provide an error code or details/description to further troubleshoot. As a result I can't upgrade my Apple devices to leverage the cloud.
Any smarts out there who could help?

I know there's a million threads like this, but I thought I'd record my experience. I, too, was having the original poster's error when I tried to update iTunes on Windows XP. I think I was stuck on 10.
I solved it by un-installing iTunes and every other Apple app. I discovered that Apple Software Update would not un-install as its MSI file could not be found. I used the "Windows Install Cleanup" tool from Microsoft to remove Apple Software Update from the list of installed programs. Google "kb290301" for a Microsoft page that includes a download link for it. After that, I was able to install a fresh copy of iTunes 10.5.2.
I'm not sure why this app's folder and MSI were missing from my computer. I had once used Laplink PC Mover to move everything from my old computer to this one, and perhaps it missed a bit.

Mail won't upgrade, it has been stuck 1/4 way, help?

I upgraded to Lion last night and i updated to icloud. Under system preferences and icloud, i put the check mark in for mail to work and it just thinks and thinks and then freezes up and i have to force quit. I tried opening mail to manually add and it says it's upgrading and will take a few minutes, the blue bar is 1/4 way across and has been stuck there for a long time. i tried removing mail, it won't delete. And even if i remove my icloud account, and i open mail, it's still just stuck at that same place. any ideas how to get around it?

The icon indicates an item that is available for download. This is usually because it has been downloaded previously by the account you are logged in under and will not be charge again for the download. See the following article, while it references iTunes for Mac and not iOS, it is the same.

I have a 2012 Subaru Forester and when I get in, my iPhone5 won't connect to my Bluetooth radio. I have my Bluetooth radio knows about the phone, but the iPhone5 just won't connect. I have to go and delete the iPhone5 from the radio memory and then pair the radio & the iPhone5 again, then it connects and works great until I shut off the car. Then when I get back in or restart the car I have to go through this all over again. Anybody got any ideas? It is driving me crazy and i just got my iPhone5 a week ago. Now I am not a real iPhone Savvy user, so it may just be something I have not set properly. So can some one Help? Please!

Thanks guys, because of you, I worked this out. My Forester needed the "handsfree" setup, not just a Bluetooth pairing. Reading your posts, suggesting to setup the phone through the steering wheel buttons worked.
But only to initiate the hansfree component.
From turning car accessories on - Pressing "off hook" button on the wheel, initiates the "handsfree" setup. Because I'd done this originally, my old phone was in here. Deleted it using the tune dial (no voice commands) and deleted pairing on iPhone 4.
Turned car off, and back on again, pressed "off hook" and using tune dial, recorded new phone profile name, and paired the phone. Now it auto connects everytime I get in the car
