Iphone5s wont turn on after IOS update

This morning my phone was ready for the new IOS update. Everything was going fine and it updated as it did before but now it just wont turn on. I tried pressing and holding the power button, the home button, and both at the same time with no luck. Its an older phone and was working fine before. i have no insurance and dont know what to do.

If it's a 5s it's still under warranty, even if you don't have insurance.

If connecting in recovery mode, as explained in this article did not help to restore the phone again, you'll have to get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place or by contacting Apple Support.

If your iPhone is unresponsive after updating your iOS version, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting below.
If you see a black screen
You might need to charge your device before it can turn on. Plug in your device and let it charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad), then try turning it on.
You should see a battery icon while your device is charging. If you continue to see a black screen, reset your device. If your device doesn't respond when you press buttons
Your device might not return to the Home screen when you press the Home button, wake from sleep when you press the Sleep/Wake button, slide to unlock or power off, or it might appear frozen. Try these steps:
Restart your device.
If it still doesn't respond, or if it doesn't turn back on, reset your device.
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

You took a backup on your computer's iTunes prior to starting the backup, or you have a recent backup ? And you have all of the apps that you had on the iPad in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library - none of your iTunes downloads are included in a backup (that contains apps settings and contents), the restore will look to pick them up from your iTunes library.
To restore select the iPad on your computer's iTunes and either do File > Devices > Restore From Backup
Or on its Summary tab in iTunes click the 'Restore Backup' button

4s wont turn on after OS 8.1.3 update. attempted restart several times with no success. fully charged battery & plugged I at time of update. iTunes doesn't recognize the device since it wont turn on so I cant even do a system restore. no problems previously.

The message is correct. Once you see the iTunes logo and the USB cord your iPhone must be restored. It has already lost all data stored on it. You can recover your data from a recent backup if you have one. You can recover all purchased music and apps without the backup. When I updated our 2 iPhones, I backed each of them up to iTunes before updating just in case. I recommend that you do this before you do any future updates.

hi i tried to update the ios 6 on my iphone 3 hours ago now and it turned off and the loading bar got half way then my screen went black. Now it keeps going from a black screen to the apple logo every 10 seconds and wont turn on at all, iv taken out my sim and tried everything, there isnt anyone who you can speak to by calling the apple customer service number, they just keep you on hold for an hour. what great customer service !!!!

I was updating my Iphone with iOS8 update through iTunes on my laptop it went all through until the end i unplugged my phone as it wasn't doing anything then it come up with iTunes logo and charger logo and now it wont turn on at all, I've tried holding the top button and home button and charging it, nothing is working! help me!

I eventually got it to work by constantly, over and over again, plugging the iPhone into the mac with my finger on the home butting until one time it recognised it then I went through the factory reset setting for it to just drop off the iTunes pane and jam on me again. I did the same thing (I know the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!) again until it recognised it again and thankfully this time it went through all the factory reset process and updated, losing unsaved videos of my sons birthday party the day before in the process ( I thought they got saved to the cloud too, but apparently they don't!) so thats how I fixed it.........that was last Thursday......Today I thought it would be safe enough to update my iPad and guess what? I have been sat here now for an hour, same thing, the update came down, the iPad was prepared for update, the screen went on to the logo screen the bar got to 100, the device disappeared from the iTunes pane and the iPad is stuck in the restart screen!!!! Its been that way for an hour now!!! I am not a happy bunny!!! now I will swiftly be going over to the iPad forums to see if there is any info there about it or should I just try what I did with the phone???? Either way this *****!

Guys, please help me with this problem. After updating it to iOS 7.1 its no longer turning on

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions.   If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage.   If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check    if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See   "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears,   continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

I bought my n93i from lebanon and i live in canada, during the software update my phone turned off and wouldnt turn on again except for the main LCD screen that only displays nokia...ive tried reflashing the phone but it wont respond to the reflash, i cant send the phone to a nokia care center in canada or in the states what should i do

try this please
1) Remove the battery, and then wait for about 20 min or so before putting it back
2) Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key, Star key[*], Three key [3]
3) switch ON the phone.
4) Do not let go the three keys until you see the WELCOME screen displayed and just let it complete the boot process
