IPhone6 Screen dead, phone still on

Has anyone had the experience of having their iPhone 6 screen just turn off and not turn back on while the phone was still working (still buzzes for texts, etc.)?  I definitely did not drop the phone or get it wet.  What should I do about this?
Thanks!!

Hello ScreenFix,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with your device. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
Get help with the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If your screen is too dim, too bright, or you see only faint images
Try to adjust the brightness. If the screen doesn’t respond when you adjust the brightness, open several apps to make sure it’s not an issue with only one app.
If you have a screen protector, try removing it. Try removing your case if it includes a screen protector.
If you see the issue in multiple apps, restart your device.
If restarting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
If you see a solid color screen (black, white or blue)
Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
Reset your device while it's plugged in.
If resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
If you see lines, missing sections, discoloration, or poor image quality
Try to restart your device. If you can't restart, reset your device.
If restarting or resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

Is the iPhone connected to iTunes - available under Devices in the iTunes source list?

    Hello TaQuilla,
If nothing ever shows on the screen when you start it, or anything you may need to reset the phone, or restore the software. Try this first:
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that does not get the screen going, then backup your device, and restore it.

  • Screen dead; second still scratched after using inCase, etc

I really don't care that Apple falsely advertiseded the nano ("This is what pockets were made for"); what - scatching the heck out of electronic devices? I don't care that I am now on my second nano, and it looks no better than te first, after investing in those "third party protective covers" that were suggested. I own Zcovers, and inCase. What really bothers me is that the unit seems totally unrersponsive. Dead screen. "Do Not disconnect" warning continually displayed, and when I unplug it, the screen still will not "back light", but I get a message "It is OK to mdisconnect". This is a useless toy. I program with Visual Basic. If I ever wrote a program with this many defects, I would be fired.

3)"Do Not disconnect" warning continually displayed
I don't use my Nano on my PC. I only use my iPods and nano on my PowerMac. But I do on occassion use my PC for USB stuff and I never just unplug the device. You have to unmount it.
If you get this message, it means that songs are being updated. You cannot just unplug a device, you must unmount it... so next time it will be recognized again. This is a USB problem. Not Apple or SONY problem
Probably the dead screen is because if you don't use the new iPods for a period of time, it goes into some kind of sleep mode. You just need to press the top (menu) button and it should awake after the Apple logo. Maybe about 10-15 seconds.

  • Screen Dead, Phone just buzzes twice when attached to iTunes

I have an iPhone 3GS. I have had it 4 weeks. A couple of days ago the screen started to go yellow in the corners and then within a day the whole screen has become unreadable.
I have plugged it into iTunes on my return to my office and all it does is buzz twice every 35 seconds.
    Can anyone help?

Connect in recovery mode and restore the phone, you'll get the option to set up a new passcode for the lockscreen during this process.
Recovery mode: iOS: Unable to update or restore
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

  • My iPhone is saying its taking up 10g of photos and I only have 154 pictures. Also when I got my screen fixed I had 2,000 and when I got it back I had 0 but my wallpapers remained.. Very strange. It's as if my phone still has the pictures but I can't see

My phone is saying all my storage for pictures is taken up when I only have 154 picture.. It happened when I got my screen fixed at a kiosk in a mall and I had 2,000 pictures when I gave it to him and when I got it back I had 0 but my wallpapers remained.. Very strange it's as if my phone still has the pictures on there.. But I can't see them. Anybody know what I should do :( I keep having to delete apps because I have no more storage for no reason :(((

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

YOU can't fix it.  But you can bring it in to Apple for an out of warranty replacement for $199.

I have a similar problem.  I restored my iPhone 5 to the latest available OS.  After completing the process the phone never restarted.  The phone was fully charged when I restored it but now refuses to charge past the red battery icon.  I have been able to get the phone in UFD mode several times and have been able to load the new OS on the phone.  The Apple logo does come on and the software fully loads.  iTunes tells me the phone will restart but never does.  I left it to charge all night but it never appeared to load the battery.  This morning I went to the Grand Central Terminal apple store for help.  A woman at the store plugged the phone in but it never charged.  She absolutely refused to believe that I got my phone in UFD mode and loaded any software on.  I don't think it is a battery issue.  The only solution I was given was to buy a new phone.  Repairing it was out of the question.  At this point the phone is completely useless.  Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Just bought new replacement iphone from apple store and less than two hours later, the screen went blurry and I can barely see anything. Phone still functions fine though.

Just bought a new replacement phone at the apple store and as soon as I got home, vertical lines came up through the screen and now it's extremely blurry. All the functions of the phone still work fine and I really can't see anything except a small part of the screen at the top. I called the apple store and he told me to put the phone in recovery mode on my computer and the restore and update it. I did this and I can tell the phone has restored yet it is still extremely blurry and I can't see anything to type it in. Is there anything I could do with this? The apple store is over an hour away and saving another trip down there would be great. Thanks

    Bad luck. Take ti back.

Bring it to an Apple store with your purchase receipts or other proof of ownership

You don't need receipts or proof of ownership, as the warranty is on the phone, not the owner, and stays with the phone if it is sold or transferred (unless it has been reported stolen). Apple can check the warranty status from the serial number alone. As can you: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage.
Warranty is not at issue, however, as accidental damage is not covered by the warranty, as Tim mentioned.

    Hello antspeaks,
It sounds as though screen curtain has been enabled on your iPhone. This can be disabled by tapping three times with three fingers on your iPhone's screen.
Turn the screen curtain on or off. Triple-tap with three fingers. When the screen curtain is on, the screen contents are active even though the display is turned off.

  • Screen is black but phone still working

my iphone 4s has a black screen but is still working

Can the problem be fixed? Yeah. Put phone in trash, purchase replacement.
Can the phone be fixed? Only until it has been opened and components checked for water damage so the extent of the same is ascertained. However, since such damage is not covered by warranty, Apple will probably offer a replacement since they do not repair them. At cost.
    Good luck at the Store.
When the problem gets fixed, you may consider that a waterproof case is cheaper than what this incident cost you.
