  • When I try to use my JBL speaker, it won't connect to Bluetooth at all with my iPad Air

My iPad Air won't connect to Bluetooth so I can use my iPad Air and JBL speaker. I keeps saying it is searching for devices.....any idea what to do. I'm using wi-fi

I suspect it won't pair with your iPad, because it's paired with your phone, even though the phone is off. Do you have the instructions for pairing the speaker?  If you don't, google them and see if the device can be paired with multiple devices.

  • I have an Ipad and an Ipod Touch 5th gen both on the latest firmwares but they won't connect via bluetooth whenever I try even though both shows that the devices are discoverable. I need help!

I have an Ipad and an Ipod Touch 5th gen both on the latest firmwares but they won't connect via Bluetooth whenever I try even though both shows that the devices are discoverable. I also tried connecting them with my Bluetooth enabled laptop but it also didn't worked. Because of the Bluetooth not working I also can't enable airdrop.

    iPhone 5 or later
    iPad (4th generation or later)
    iPad mini
    iPod touch (5th generation)

To see if your Mac works with AirDrop, make sure you’re in the Finder by clicking the desktop (the background area of your screen), or by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock. Then, check to see if AirDrop is listed as an option in the Go menu. If you don't see AirDrop listed, your Mac doesn't support this feature.
In order to transfer files between a Mac and and an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
your iOS device needs to include a lightning connector
your iOS device needs iOS 7 or later installed
your Mac needs to be a 2012 or later model with OS X Yosemite installed
Your Mac and iOS device both need bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on. You do not have to be connected to a specific Wi-Fi network.
To transfer files between two Mac computers, you need the Mac models listed below with Wi-Fi turned on and OS X Lion or later installed.

  • IPhone6 won't pair with BlueTooth on MBPro

IPhone6, iOS 8.1.1 won't pair with BlueTooth on MBPro nor can I use it as Blue Tooth "hands free" device in my car. Blue Tooth is enabled on the phone and on the MBPro.  I try to "connect to network" on the iPhone, using BT preferences on the MBPro, but get the message "can't connect" . On the MBPro, have gone to Sys. Pref., Network, can see the phone but again get the same message when I try to connect.
On the phone under the green button (which enables) the BlueTooth, I see the word "other devices" and a spinning beach ball as the phone tries to find additional devices but no joy.
Have Googled the problem, am reading similar issues - people seem to think it was the new iOS 8.0 and 8.1.1 was supposed to be a fix but it isn't.  Any thoughts out there would be much appreciated.

Great - finally got our iPhones6 "discoverable" on our car. Whew!!!  Thank you so much.
But, still can't pair our iPHone with my MBPro.  Follwed directions on your link but no joy....<sigh>
The MBPro does NOT find the iPhone device. Don't know why......
However, the biggest problem is solved, hopefully.....that being the car/phone connection.
    Appreciate the assistance.

  • Macbook Air (Mid-2013) and iPhone 5s IOS version 8.1 won't connect via bluetooth, anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have a Macbook Air running OS-X Yosemite and an iPhone 5s running IOS version 8.1. Every time I try to connect the devices via bluetooth is won't connect saying my Macbook Air isn't supported when in actuality it is. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I have restarted both my Mac/Iphone and have turned bluetooth on/off and nothing seems to help. Bluetooth pairing didn't work before I updated to IOS 8.1 so I doubt that is the issue here.

Pairing an iPhone to a computer (Mac or Windows) is only supported for personal hotspot (sharing the iPhone's cellular internet connection) and then only if your cellular plan supports it. More information: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

  • Droid won't connect to Bluetooth

After the update today my Droid2 global won't connect to my blue tooth in my car.  Settings on my phone show that it is paired but not connected.  Have tried rebooting, etc but cannot get it to work.  Anybody else having this problem?

I am seeing the same issue. However, if I open up my bluetooth settings, find my hands free device, and select connect, it does connect. It just doesn't connect automatically as it did before the update.

  • Yoga 10 HD+ won't connect using bluetooth tethering

My Yoga 10 HD+ is running KitKat. It pairs quite happily with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The bluetooth connection works well for transferring files/photos etc but will not work as a tethered internet connection.
On the bluetooth connection there is an option to "Use this connection for internet access" which I have ticked, but still when I try it says I am offline and should switch on either my WiFi of 3G connection.
It tethers and connects to the internet fine if I use WiFi as the connection between phone & tablet but the tablet just won't use the bluetooth connection to access the internet despite the ticked option to do so.
    Anybody got any ideas ?
Come on Lenovo, let's get it sorted.

This may not work for you, but it did for me. Just got mine as well, 10 HD+, and I had no working bluetooth. It would just keep searching and would stop after about 15 seconds. I had to do two restarts to fix my problem.
I think all of those updates I had to do the moment I took it out of the box (3 if i remember) cause the issue. Again, it took TWO restarts, on the second restart when I tried the bluetooth it worked.
After that I could connect to Bluetooth devices (tried on two diff. speakers) and I could recognize and stream music accordingly.
    Hope this helps!

  • Is the iphone6 having problems connecting to bluetooth in subaru vehicles

is the iPhone 6 having problems being connected to bluetooth in some cars?   specifically subaru  cars

I found a solution which worked for me with this issue.
I have a 2013 Subaru Outback and I was having bluetooth pairing issues with my iPhone 6 Plus. I could pair but the next time I started the car, it would not repair automatically. The iOS 8.1 update did not fix the problem. I had performed the pairing using the Menu button on my audio console. Here's the solution I found.
    1. I used the Menu button to delete the old pairing. I turned off the car.
    2. I deleted the paired connection on my iPhone. I switched off Bluetooth and restarted both the car and the iPhone.
    3. I turned on Bluetooth on the iPhone.
    4. This time I used voice control on the Subaru instead of the Menu button. My voice commands were Bluetooth Setup-->Phone Setup-->Pair Phone.
    5. I completed the pairing on the iPhone, entering the passkey. The pairing was successful.
    6. I turned off the car. A few minutes later, I turned it on and - voila - the connection was reestablished. Over the last two days, the connection has been successfully reestablished maybe nine times.
I called my Subaru service rep just to give him this info in case anyone else was having the same problem. He said that generally speaking, it's a better idea on a Subaru to use voice commands to pair. Don't ask me why. Anyway, it works.
I hope this helps others with the same problem!

  • Windows 7 won't connect to bluetooth keyboard

I've been using a Logitech MX5000 keyboard for awhile. I switch between windows and mac via bootcamp all the time. Recently though, I can't use the keyboard while in Windows 7. The keyboard pairs fine, but it is all greyed out. I've tried every suggestion that I can find:
~The keyboard is no longer paired with Mac OSX
~I've tried using Generic windows bluetooth drivers
    ~I've reinstalled bootcamp drivers.
Nothing seems to give me a permanent fix, and I can't even get it to work at the moment. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry if this has already been done, but I've searched for an hour & can't find my solution.
Windows 7 is security-conscious to the point of paranoia. I assume this is the reason it won't sign on to the open services! I get a 'connected' message, followed by 'internet not available'. At no point am I offered a login, and there's nothing in the settings about it.
I bought this laptop so I can travel with it - I need it to recognise Fon and Openzone points wherever they're available, and log itself on. Just like my Blackberry does ...
This has to be a matter of overriding some settings (and perhaps adding a new one). Can someone advise, please?
    Hi. Welcome to the forums
My desktop Win 7 connects to FON (I pick the BTOpenzone connection), and when I then try a google, I get presented with a login page. If you aren't seeing the login page, then perhaps you can type in directly :-

  • IPad air won't connect to Bluetooth speaker?

My new iPad air will not connect to my Vizio Bluetooth speaker.  When I put both devices in discover mode, the speaker is listed on the iPad, but will not connect?  The speaker connects just fine to my iPhone, or to my older (original) iPad.  I have re-booted the iPad, and powered down(unplugged) the speaker, but no help.

Bluetooth on my iPad air won't find my android phone, but the phone has apparently paired with the iPad. They just won't talk. Same problem with my wife's iPad 4, won't discover anything at all! I know that Apple is known for not communicating with non Apple products but this is ridiculous. Any ideas? Thanks ;)

  • Messages won't connect to bluetooth headset for sound output

I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device. I got it so I could switch back and forth from my phone to my MacBook Pro (running Mavericks) easily. It works great everywhere. EXCEPT, it won't work for Messages sound output. I've talked with three different Apple support people and with Plantronics. I tried a workaround I found elsewhere using Soundflower, but that did not work either. I've checked all settings, unpaired/repaired, shut down/rebooted/reset; looked for software issues; downloaded the current firmware; tried turning bluetooth off my phone to see if that was an issue; and probably some other things I'm forgetting; all to no avail.
    Any ideas?

    Following up on the above...
My S10-HD paired straight out of the box w/ my iPod Touch 2G; however, when I tried to pair it with my iPad 2, the iPad 2 would just search...and search...and search.
On page 7 of the S10-HD manual, you'll see a note saying, "To pair your headphones again, press and hold the "0" (power) key until the status light becomes steadily lit in blue".
This proved to be the key to getting the S10-HD to work with the iPad 2. The S10-HD needs to be "off", then you'll have to press and hold for around 7 to 10 seconds.
Furthermore, it appears (from my own testing; your results may differ) that the S10-HD can only be paired to one device at a time. That may sound obvious, but what it means is that you'll first have to turn off Bluetooth on the paired device with which the S10-HD is currently connected, then connect it to the other device with which it is already paired. (Kind of a pain, but I can live with it.)
Also, if there's anyone considering the S9-HD or who's had an S9-HD fail because of sweat incursion (i.e., you use it at the gym, etc.), Motorola is offering a warranty upgrade from the S9-HD to the S10-HD. What you need to know is: (1) The S9-HD will fail from the least bit of sweat entering the unit through the speakers; and (2) The S9-HD sounds better than the S10-HD (a lot better...it's a tradeoff you have to be willing to live with if you want these for exercise). To get the S10-HD if you've experienced prob's w/ your S9-HD as described, call Julie Scofield in the Consumer Advocacy Office at Motorola's Corporate Headquarters: (847) 523-5852.

  • How do I fix bluetooth connection between mouse and keyboard with iMac. iPhone won't connect to bluetooth either

Bluetooth on Mac os x won't work with keyboard, mouse or iphone.  Keyboard and mouse both have new batteries and go discoverable when switched on, i have gone into system setup and tried connecting.  It connects briefly with mouse then drops in and out of connection, keyboard does same, asking for passcode then no connection.  I'm lost... my phone can pick up keyboard, so i think it is bluetooth in mac.

    Go to ~/LIbrary/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.

The two devices paired and connected at first but now refuse to talk to each other. Like some married couples I know!

  • ITouch won't connect via Bluetooth

The iPod is paired. I went through the pairing sequence on my Mac. My Mac sees the iPod, and wants to pair. It asks to confirm the code, which does come up on my iPod. I click "pair" on my iPod, and "continue" on my iMac, and teh iMac reports a successfull pairing. Yet, it does not come up as a device that is connected, and teh iPod reports itself as "not connected" to the iMac.
    How can I do this??

I have the same problem about connecting iPod touch by bluetooth. It does pair but does not connect. I have already connected my Mac with an iPhone by bluetooth with no troubles. Why can't I do it with my iPod touch?
