Iphones slow and no more copy and paste
i upgraded my iphone 4S and 5S from the latest iosX to iosX 8.
Problems I encounter:
Opening apps slowed down totally.
Closing apps slowed down.
Navigating within app is slow.
Going back to homescreen or moving around there is slowed down (like slow-mo).
Copy and paste hardly works. I can not select text, or alway when I try to select text the last word of a sentence is marked (which I did not select).
I can not put the cursor back to the end of a written sentence, as always the last word is selected/ highlighted in purple colour.
Keyboard comes up frquently without reason (for example when I select a category down here

I am for example on LiveLeak, hit the PLAY button for a video, and am confronted with my keyboard.

Ok so I downloaded a GUI package online from http://www.teehanlax.com/tools/iphone/ and opened it in my Photoshop CC. Everything opened fine, except that some of the texts I didn't have, but I fixed that. So I tried duplicating the group and then having it put in my other document, which worked, but I could not see the item I copied but I could see it in my layers.
See if you can get Skype to work.

OK, I have the most strangest event to report am really freaking out as Im not too sure of how it was possible but I am sure that there is someone out there who may! I will outline below exactly the circumstances in which this bizarre occurred:
1. Turned on Mac Book Pro (OS X 10.6.8)
2. Opened my VNC remote viewer to remote connect to my Windows 7 PC
3. Connected with my computer and opened an MS Word 2007 document
4. Selected and copied the text in this document
5. On my visible MAC tool bar I opened "Text Edit"
6. Then hit cmd+v to paste the text from this document from the Windows PC to the Mac text edit document
This is when I got a little disturbed - I will be as thorrough as possible:
The paste function worked as per normal in the fact that some text did appear in my text edit document but it was not the text sourced from the word document is was something completely different - In fact the text startlingly was originally from a text message I sent over 10 days ago on my iphone 5. I am more than baffled how this text has managed to mysteriously appear from my "Un-connected" Iphone 5 to a text document on my Mac Book!?!?!? It is beyond freaking me out until................I just happened to open my "notes" app on my Iphone and the first thing I saw was an old note i created that was infact this text that appeared on my Mac!
"A little background history on where the text came from: I had a text message exchange/conversation with someone I then wanted to send this complete exchange to someone else via text message but so it read all in one long complete unbroken message I individually copied each text exchange and pasted in sequentially into the note document until I had the whole conversation in there then copied the entire Note document and pasted it into messages and then text it to someone"
OK, so I think that this may now be something un-supernatural however, I need to determine exactly how this procedure occurred! I am still utterly baffled as:
1. I did not connect or even touch my notes app that day on my iphone and actually have not touched it since I created that note over 10 days ago
2. Checked my icloud settings on my Iphone and can see I have not got notes selected/activated
I hope I have not missed anything out but if anyone has any intelligent respones that may solve this mystery I was be extremely grateful.

Copy and paste, does the process slow down if...?
What is the optimal way to copy and paste multiple tasks?
My question is: Does the copy/paste slow down if I have multiple copy/paste processes at the same time?
Or, should I wait until each is done to continue the next task?
I have about 3 hard drives I'm trying to copy and paste to and from each other. Each transfer can range between 30-300 gigabytes
thanks for your input!You have to remember that copy and paste means that the OS must cache the data you're trying to copy, and this in turn means that it has to have enough free space to do so.
If your hard drive is almost full, OS X will have to move small files or file fragments around before it can cache chunks of the files you want to copy and paste somewhere. It has to cache them, in case you (or an exterior cause) interrupts the copying and pasting, so as not to damage the files.
Moving files is another matter, since the files don't actually change places, they're just indexed as being moved to a different folder or directory.
Bottom line is, the bigger the quantity of data you want to copy and paste, the more free space you need. -
How to copy and paste in IPhone?
Let's say you want to copy some text from an email or SMS msg and paste it somewhere else (a new sms message or in notes...) is there no way to do it?

I didn't think iPhone would be like this:
No copy and past
No voice record
No denied option for calls when its locked.
No Word.
No Excel.
No info at desktop and you have to open everything you want separated (Weather, International time, Calender:( (really miss my iMate at this option), date, ...).
No Arabic language and I am losing my mind trying to communicating with my clients and lots of SMS not readable coz of that.
No return back when i buy it from Egypt (Vodafone) It cost me: 3,560.00*5.5=647.27US$.
That much of price and Limited for one carrier.

Man, are you serious? There were zillions of new apps since July 11th. Each and every day there are few new ones. Btw, with your home Mac or PC do you also feel bored if you don't download at least one new app every day?

Can you copy and paste text in iPhone?
If you are sending text to someone, and then want to send it to someone else, the easiest way to do this on other smart phones is to copy and paste the text. This doesn't seem to be possible on the iPhone. Is it possible?
Thanks.It has been said before - and many times: how deeply disappointing! And that Apple still hasn't come up with a software update to take care of this is even more disappointing. Get an address by email and try to put into the map widget . . . you have to write it down on paper. That's what we got iPhones for? It's the first time Apple has come up with a device that can do less than we'd expect.

Sorry for short novel I am writing. I just wanted to cover as much backround as possible.
So, here it goes. I backed up my iphone 4 after renting a movie. The movie only played the starting credits before I was called on for daddy duty. A few days later the movie would not play, so I restored my phone from my backup. The movie would still would not play so itunes support refunded my purchase and ended my viewing privileges for that rental after verifying that I had not viewed the movie. I then had a problem with my contacts showing up twice in the contacts list after the restore. So I attempted another restore. All was well at this point. I then started having trouble with my pc and decided to copy the internal drive to an external source. A week later I had a system failure and did a factory restore on my computer. I re-installed itunes and tried to copy and paste the old backup into the new itunes. Now itunes just flat out does not see the backup file (I failed to mention that I did a factory reset on the iphone after the last backup, hopping to start fresh). Tech support had me uninstall and re-install itunes and then copy and paste the old backup into the newly installed itunes with no luck. The files are all there, but itunes just doesn't see them (itunes says the device has not been backed up to the cloud or to the local machine). We then tried backing up the factory restored iphone and replacing that restore file with one of my old backups on the external drive. Ok, this is where it gets weird. We replaced the guts of the folder but left the folder itself so itunes would continue to recognize the new backup folder with the old files. Whoohoo, itunes now see's a backup folder full of old files, or so we thought. The new files were deleted using shift delete so they would be gone for good and not mix with any files or folders. When I restore my phone, it restores the files that were deleted from the restore file (pause here for a moment and imagine the stupid look on the face of tech support and I while we silently wonder how files that were permanently deleted were restored). This left tech support and I both scratching our heads. My service issue was escalated to the next level. I waited for the phone call the next day that was scheduled at 10am to my wife's phone, but the call never came through. As usual, apple disappoints again. I just bought an iphone 5s and still have the iphone 4, and am looking for a solution to retrieve my contacts and restore to the 4 or 5s. I am guessing that files in other folders must be associated with the iphone backup in order for itunes to retrieve the files. I want to take a voice memo off my iPhone, turn it into and .mp3, and email it. My iPhone shows up under "Devices" in my iTunes but doesn't allow me to move the voice memo files I see sitting there into my Library no matter how much copying and pasting or dragging and dropping I try to do.
Also, I need to convert the file to an .mp3.
How come no voice memo files show up when I go into my iPhone via My Computer? All it shows are the videos and pictures in the DCIM folder, but not the voice memos. Is there another way to access the voice memos other than through iTunes?Email it to yourself, then save the file and then see if you can convert it to MP3.

I just downloaded IOS 8 on my Iphone 5 and to do so i had to delete all my photos to clear space, but before so I selected all of them and copied them. The only place I can seem to be able to paste and see them is while making a new message in gmail and then when i tried to send them the message comes back blank and looks like below. what can i do to retrieve them?
<Edited by Host>As razmee209 said, you can use iTunes to install photos on your phone from wherever you have them stored. Where did you copy them to? Are you saying you selected them on you phone and just hit "copy"? That would only copy one at a time to the "clipboard" so that you can paste it somewhere else. As you copy each one, the previous one is deleted from the clipboard. This is not a storage area. Did you back them up on your computer or in iCloud?

No phone can send photos via SMS. You would need MMS (or iMessage or a 3rd party app such as WhatsApp). SMS messages are limited to 160 characters of text only.

You should not see anything labeled iCloud in Windows Explorer.
