Iphoto 08 cannot read files..Grrrr

Hello all !
I have imported about 2 gig of photos into iphoto 08 ,they are all there in their events. it
all goes wrong when I go to edit a photo a window pops up and says "file cannot be read as it is in iphoto library" then very kindly tells me where that is. Am I missing something very simple here? your help will be appreciated!!!!

Is that window in iPhoto? Or some other application?
Check your Preferences: iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> General: Edit Photo:... What's selected there.
Here's a tip: stay away from the iPhoto Library in your Pictures Folder. You do ALL your work in the iPhoto Window, and surfing or moving files in the Library via the finder is a good way to damage your library.
For using Photoshop:
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

The error is probably due to one of the reasons:
1. There is no file in the location: /software/d01/oracle/interface/finance/inbound/email.9Nemail.13111507.3445704.cnv.
2. No permission on the file respective file.
Please get the assistance from the DBA to check on this.

Hi all!
I'm having a problem wich will get me nervous!
Here we have an application 100% generated from designer. The problem is that it have been started in questionnables ways ... there is 2 workarea to contains all the forms needed for the application instead of 2 containers in the same workarea. The workarea "JD" where we put all the utility forms and the workarea "PL" where we put all the forms use for the application configuration.
Recently I have developped a new form in the container "PL" but the menu calling this form is in the workarea "JD" with a fake copy of the original form so we can refer it in the "JD" menu. When i generated and run the applications and i choose my new form in the menu i got the error "FRM-10221 Cannot read file PL000000" 2 times then the forms is called and is running correctly. I really don't understand whats is going on cause there is no menu called "PL000000" in the 2 workarea!!!
All that i read about this error mesage from now tell that the menu is not in the form path or many other solution, but in my case I got an error about a menu that does not exists!! I know that something is triggering this but i just can't find it cause there is no menu called "PL000000" anywhere in this application!!??
Is there someone who could have an idea about whats going on here!!??? HELP PLEASE!

I'm not familiar with 100% generated forms from Designer yet and your answer make me discover something. It seems that when you generate a new form, the main menu of the container is automatically attached to that forms by default.
Plus i was wrong in a point in my original post. There was no menu named "PL000000" but there was one named something else but with the "implementation name" as "PL000000" ... my bad ...

I am in the process upgrade EBS to 12.1.3 and when attempting to launch forms to "Generate All Business Views", I encountered three Form errors:
FRM-10221: Cannot read file /u02/applfint/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/resource
FRM-41810: error creating menu
FRM-41067: cannot fine menu item: invalid ID
Back in my shell, I have also noticed that some part of my environment variable is not functioning correctly or is missing:
. /u02/applfinp/apps/apps_st/appl/APPSOFPROD_ofinprod01.env
or
. /u02/applfinp/apps/apps_st/appl/OFPROD_ofinprod01.env
Gives:
-bash: /usrxit/devenv.env: No such file or directory
I have used adadmin utility and choose option to recreate grants and synonyms; executing adautocfg.sh but problem is persisting.

I am glad you are online. I am on a deadline to finish an upgrade by 8 AM this morning.
I have actually finished the upgrade and was about to "Generate All Business Views" to fix all the dozens of invalid views that are trailing.
I had just finished applying Patch 9239090 to get to ebs 12.1.3 an its pre-requisits. This is the first time I am opening these forms and all forms are throwing the same error.
I have manually relinked the adadmin:
adrelink.sh force=y "ad adadmin"
Autoconfig is giving errors:

FRM-10221:Cannot read file FNDMENU

Hi Friend's,
I am facing form error when I install and configure the ocj4 in my server.
The form is working good before install/configure the oc4j. Once I install/configure oc4j i am getting bellow error when I open the forms.
OC4J is working fine, but form only getting error for me.
Issue is,
FRM-10221:Cannot read file FNDMENU
FRM-14810:Error Creating menu
FRM-14067: Cannot find menu item: Invalid ID.
Please help me any one...

You need to put the menu in Form_path, make sure you do not put the menu extension in the form property

Cannot Read Files off CD/DVD Drive

I realize there are several similarly titled posts on this topic, but I have not found the problem I have. Computer: Pavilion tx2000CTO. O/S: Vista Home Premium (all updates current).
Issue: Some CD's and DVD's cannot be read completely. I CAN navigate the directory structure. I CAN see the files. I CANNOT open them. When I attempt to open from the DVD drive, nothing happens. No errors or other messages. When I attempt to copy to the HDD, I get the error "cannot read from the source file or disk". This does not happen on all disks, but I cannot find any pattern between when i can or cannot read. All of these disks are readable on other systems.
Note: similar for media files or disks. Some readable, some not.

Cannot read files in fusecompress-git

fusecompress-1 works perfectly, but does not support x64, so I've installed fusecompress-git
on my 64-bit computer, but I cannot open files stored in a FuseCompress mountpoint with it.
For example if a copy text file X to such a mountpoint and run 'cat X' I would get and error message
cat: X: Input/output error

Snow Leopard cannot read Files or Folders with Accents written by Windows 7

I upgraded to snow leopard on launch date in the process of ripping all my music to ALAC in OSX.
I brought it over to windows to encode it in the batch encoder in DV poweramp using Windows 7 RC1.
When I tried to copy the files back to OSX it could not read any files or folders with an accent in their name if they were written by windows. It thought the folders were aliases and kept trying to figure out what was wrong and mp3s it just continually tried to load.
It cannot read them on both FAT32 and NTFS partitions however plugging the FAT32 drive in a Vista computer it was perfectly able to read the files. Any ideas why this might be? I may try writing a file with an accent in the name via Vista later.

Whats odd, accents aren't giving me a problem but a little square unicode character is.

Lightroom CC saying it cannot import files because it cannot read files

I recently upgraded my windows machine to an imac and am excited about using the adobe suite. Unfortunately LR is not importing any files off my SD cards. It says files cannot be imported because it cannot read the files. I never had this issue before. with LR 5.5 on my windows computer. thoughts?

This error message usually signifies that you are trying to import / copy files to a drive/ folder/ sub-folder for which you do not have read and write permissions.
Make sure you check all the relative locations to ensure you have the required permissions to complete the task.

Vista written files work and I have not tested XP yet.
I also noticed windows couldn't open folders that had a little square at the end of them (about 2x2 pixel character) on the HFS partition.

Reports server Cannot read files from mapped drive

Hi,
Am trying to run a report from a network mapped drive under WinNT 4.0 through report server.
I get "REP-0110 Error opening or reading file" error message. After looking up the help on error, I find:
1. The file being accessed does exist
2. The login account has full privileges
with the file/directory/drive in question.
If the report to be run is on a local drive,
everything is fine.
Can anyone help me asap.

hello,
there are multiple things to keep in mind :
1) if you are using a mapped drive :
mapped drives are on a per-user-basis. the reports-server-service is running as a system-service by default and will not have the same mapped drives as the logged on user. in fact it fill have NO drives mapped.
what you could do is to use the UNC-path like \\servername\share\filename to adress the file
2) problems with UNC
there are some known problems using UNC to access files on remote machines in some versions of reports. pls check with oracle support services in case this causes problems.

Help Needed in Advaced PDF Printing! (Cannot read file error)

Hi All,
I have a page that displays 2 reports. I need to Print to PDF all these reports, along with their headings to PDF. I have used the Advanced Print options.
The report queries for these 2 reports are huge exceeding the 4000 character limit of APEX query region. This query has a lot of parameters in it. Hence I created 2 views for these reports (views that get updated with new values dynamically).
Now in "Report Queries" I have 2 select statements as "select * from view_1" and "select * from view_2". When both these queries fetch records, if i click on test report, it works perfectly fine.
But when ever any one of these queries, does not return records, I get an error as "Adobe Reader could not open the file because it is either not supported file type or because the file has been damaged".
How do I handle this? Is there no way to overcome this?

Pages gives an error, 'Cannot read file' , when trying to open pages document

I recently deleted a pages file. I recovered it using disk drill and now Pages refuses to open it. It gives me an error that it cant read the file.
