IPhoto 09' wanting to put iphoto 11'

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the trouble and bother but i just bought iPhoto 11' on the mac app store on my computer. How do I...install it? I mean I have the 2009 iPhoto and I have no photos there but I'd like to start. How do I install it properly? Can someone teach me? Thank you bunches!

follow the directions from the App store to install
run software update to assure the software is totally up to date
Launch iPhoto and when the welcome screen comes up and offers videos to watch - WATCH them before getting started for real
and it would be a worthwhile investment of time to take the iphoto '09 tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/ - they are very helpful and will save you a lot of time and frustration even though some commands have changed the concepts are the same

How can I do that and keep them in order, etc. What I have tried reorders them, separates them into the camera pictures, phone pictures, and movies. We are not sauvy in Apple or iphoto so this has been extremely frustrating for us.

Files on disk have no order - they are given the order by the viewing program - finder on the Mac - using the finder you can view files by many different sorts - file name - date created - date moified - size - etc
Deciede how you are going to sort them when you view them and then export them so that sort works for you
Generally using an alpha sort to view and exporting using the sequential nameing option is the solution - see the user tip on exporting for the options available

Ahh, thank you! What a pain in the neck. I figure I must have been signed into his account at some other point in time, maybe after... watching a movie..? [Though, that'd be the iTunes store, right? Not the App Store.] Anyway, some situation must've occured where I absentmindedly updated and iPhoto is now tied up with his account.
I'll go ahead and contact support to see if they can get me sorted. I suppose I can just ask him for his password, but.. oh, you know, it's a temporary solution and I guess I was just hoping to easily get iPhoto properly associated with myself again. Thank you!

I was looking for something on the net, and i run into this post. Am not sure if you have found a soulution or not, anyways, if not here are some programs that i love and they show you every thing in your iPhone:
iFunBox, iBackupBot and DiskAid
am sure they will help you find what you want and then you can just copy them to your computer.
if you use Mac, iPhoto will import everything for you.

I have iTunes open on my computer and have chosen hen songs that I want to put ony iPod but when I click sync it loads a little bit and then everything disappears. What am I doing wrong?

I had my iPod set up and everything then when I hooked or up to my computer iTunes told me that my iPod could not be read and that I needed to restore it, so I did that and after when i plugged it into iTunes and selected the songs that I wanted to put on my iPod and clicked sync it started to sync but right when it gets to the end it goes blank and says choose your songs/playlists once again and I have to start all over. You say the music is not on the external HD, the music list (iTunes?) is empty, and it is not on the iPOd. Then where is the music you want to move to the external HD?

I tried to put them in using the "Home calendar" blue, and them change them to purple (Work Calendar) after I had paid them. The problem is that once I changed a bill from blue to purple it changed all upcoming bills for future months to purple also.

You might want to try Reminders.
Creat a Bill Pay list, add all your bills set a reminder to repeat every month and when you pay one just check them off as complete

If you sign out of an Apple ID under Settings > iCloud, you should be prompted for an option to 'Keep on my iPhone' in regards to Contacts and other related data. Then, when signing in with another Apple ID on that same iPhone, you should be prompted to 'Merge'. If you do both, then you won't lose any Contacts, and the iCloud Contacts will then be merged into the new Apple ID iCloud, but also will stay on the old Apple ID iCloud.

You don't mention anything about the music files on your computer that were used to copy into iTunes. If you have moved those files to a different location on you PC you will get that error message from iTunes. This is because iTunes will look for the music files in the original location that they came from on your PC when they were copied. If this is the case you have to tell iTunes to look in the new location for the music files or move the music files back to the original location.
