IPhoto 11 Book 1st and last page errors

When previewing my completed book, the 1st and last page have white lines going through them.
How can i fix this so I can buy it.

Boot into Safe Mode and preview the book. If the first and last page photos are OK order the book from the Safe Mode. It's a problem others are having and worked around it with the Safe Mode boot.
Be sure to report it to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

Thanks for your early update...but my requirement here is
I have two pages (FIRST , NEXT ) First is having Header, Main and Footer
NEXT is having Main and Footer ..I am printing PO here..let us think that my PO is having 20lines items , let us assume that it takes five pages...
Now how application is printing is ..first set of data is printing in FIRST page and remainiang data distributed to 4 pages printing in NEXT page ..but what my requirement is , I need fifth page print on FIRST page, instead of NEXT page... Ultimately I need last set of data always print in FIRST ie out of 5 pages 1st print on FIRST 2nd 3rd 4th print on NEXT and 5th print again on FIRST .

Problem regarding printing in first and last page of a form

I need to print a some text only in the first page and last page. I have defined a window to print this text. The number of pages that will be created is decided on run time. Can some body please help regarding this issue. I have tried to use SFSY-FORMPAGES to calculate total number of pages in the begining but it does not work

Hi Badhra,
You can use conditions for that window or text element.
in conditions, tick 'only befor main window' forr header
and 'ONly after main window ' for footer.

Different Footer on First page and last pages

Hi
I am trying to display Continue on first page and middle pages and Total Amount on last page on a multipage PO. I can display different footer page for first page and last page but the middle pages don't have a footer. How to do this if possible. There are so many threads here but not one gives the exact steps.

Add Section Break => Next Page

IDCS3 Print Booklet - Image across first and last page

Does anyone know how I could place an image to be wrapped around the cover of a booklet? No problem on inside pages because they show as two page spreads but the first and last pages don't display as a two page spread.

Place it on the cover and stretch it out across what would be the back
cover if it were there.
Copy to clipboard and scroll to the last page. Edit>copy in place. Crop
to fit on back cover and front cover.

Cannot close tabs in Firefox 4 - only able to access 1st and last tab...nothing in between

As the title says... even if I hover over tabes between 1st and last tabes adn right click, 'close tab' still doesn't close

Custom page layouts for iPhoto books- bleeds and type

I've been digging through the forum for info on creating custom page layouts. I have the basics: print PDF (to capture the page BG and graphics elements), manipulate in PhotoShop and place the custom page as a full page photo.
How does iPhoto deal with bleeds? Since I'm trying to recreate the style of the other pages I'd like it to match.
Is all type in an iPhoto book rasterized? The printed PDF retains type. Will rasterized type in PS layouts match "native" text in iPhoto?
I haven't purchased a book yet and I'm wondering if the book is sent to Apple as a PDF with vector data. If that's the case can custom pages be inserted into the PDF with vector type intact?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I don't know much about bleeds but you can manipulate it in the iPhoto preference file with Pref Setter.
Regarding the rasterized type, you'll have to give it a try and then create a pdf of the book to check it out. In iPHoto 5 we used to be able to get a copy of the pdf file that was uploaded to Apple but in V6 that's not possible. I think the pdf file may be the same as we get when creating it via Print to PDF. Here's the info I received from Apple about book quality and materials:
I contacted Apple and asked for information that I could pass on. Here's the reply I received from Apple:
"Thank you for contacting the Apple Print Products Customer Service.
I understand that you would like to know the printing process that is used and the color mode the files should be in, so you can better advise users in the iPhoto forum.
iPhoto version 4 or later, allows you to import and print files through the Apple Print Product service as RGB, grayscale, or CMYK color space. JPEG files with RGB color space are recommended for best results.
While iPhoto 2 can import files of various formats, including RGB color, grayscale, and CMYK, this version requires JPEG files with RGB color space when printing photos and books.

Here are some of the technical specifications for the books, cards, and calendars. I hope this gives you an idea about their quality and form.
BOOKS
All iPhoto books are printed using acid-free paper for long-lasting image quality. The photos are printed at a high resolution (300DPI if you use iPhoto 6). There is no external modification--such as sharpening or contrast adjustment--of the photos; what you see in the application is what is printed in the book.
Hardcovers Books
The cover is hard-bound and covered in linen. You select the linen color during the book-ordering process. The hardcover books have a solid, stiff binding that is glued and crimped. The internal pages, measuring 8.5 x 11 inches, are printed on McCoy 100# Text Gloss paper stock.
Softcover Books
The softcover books come in three sizes:
- Large 8.5 x 11 inches
- Medium 6 x 8 inches
- Small 2.6 x 3.5 inches
All of the softcover books have internal pages that are printed on McCoy 100# Text Gloss paper stock. The large softcover book has a white cover (Kromekoteplus Folding Cover, 16 point) with a cutout on the front that reveals the cover-page photo in the book. The covers for the medium and small softcover books have the cover image and title printed directly on the cover. All of the softcover books have a glued binding and feature a thick cover of McCoy 100# Cover Gloss paper stock.
CARDS
All cards are printed on McCoy 120# Silk Cover paper stock. The postcards measure 4 x 6 inches, and the greeting cards measure 5 x 7inches.
CALENDARS
All calendars measure 8 x 10 inches and are printed on McCoy 100# Silk Cover paper stock.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Footer on each pages and last page

I need to develop a template which has a header , body and footer. The Body has order lines. If the order lines exceeds the 1st page, it should overflow in the 2nd page , so the 1st page will have just signature as footer and 2nd page will have the main footer(which is shipping details). If the number of lines are just 5-6 then the main footer(shipping details) comes on the same page.
I am able to achieve this using <?start@last-page:body?><?end body?>.
The problem is if there are 8 lines, then still it prints all the 8 lines on 1st page and the 2nd page just shows the main footer at the bottom.
Is it possible for me to restrict the table in the body such that it shows only 6 lines at a time so that the overflow goes to the next page and it does not just show a blank page with only footer.
Please suggest
1. How can I restrict the height of the table in the body(number of row lines)
2. OR print the footer in all pages.
I need help urgently. Please help

How to report header and footers on first and last page only

Hi
We are trying to create a report that has a one data header on the first page and another header on subsequent pages then the data body then a footer section on the last page only. If we only have one page of data it works fine but when we move to multiple pages the data body section does not expand to fill the gap and we are left with second header but then a gap before the data.
We have tried to use anchors but are realy stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Problems with envelope-printing in Address Book: First and Last names

New entries I make in Address Book are printing incorrectly, with Last name then First name. Most of my older entries print correctly as First name then Last name (though oddly I have a small batch of entries I imported ages ago which have always exhibited the same transposition problem).
I have prefs set to display entries by Last name. Problem entries WILL print correctly if I change this to 'display by First name'. (older entries print correctly regardless of 'display by..' pref).
I'm having the same problem if I create a new account, which made me suspect the app was corrupted, but not helped by deleting app and re-installing from Tiger DVD then running combo updater.

However, it doesn't make sense for the LIST display-order to swap the first-and-last names on an ENVELOPE. Secondly, most of my entries DO print correctly: it's only NEW entries that transpose the first and last names.

After upgrading to iPhoto 09, all of my themes for book, card and calendar somehow disappeared. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Have your process chain to start "After event". Then create an ABAP program to call function module BP_EVENT_RAISE. There are numerous postings in this forum on how to do this.
Next create two monthly jobs (one scheduled on the 1st and the other on the 28th) using SM36, and the only step in the job is to call the program to trigger (raise) the event. By triggering the event, your process chain will execute.

Can I transfer an iPhoto Book project to a Pages file

Working on a long manuscript in Pages, including illustrations.
I have completed in iPhoto a Book Project relative to the Pages manuscript.
Is there a way to link the iPhoto project to the Pages file?
Or to transfer (cut and paste) the iPhone file into the Pages file as a separate section?

you can preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF and use it with pages or any other program
There is not a book in iPhoto - just database entries - creating a PDF is the way to have a book
