Iphoto 11 Selecting multiple photos

I first select the first photo in a string. Then I press the space bar prior to selecting the last photo in the string. However when I press the space bar the first photo just keeps on zooming in and out. I did not have this problem prior to upgrading . Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

select the first photo and go to the last photo and depress the shift key and click on the last photo - this will select the range  --  or click and drag accross the range to select a group

  • How do I select multiple photos from iPhoto and upload them to a Facebook album?

I have transferred ALL my photos from my iPhone into my Mac. They are now in iPhoto. I recently created an album and I want to put the photos from iPhoto into it, but not all the photos. I have quite a lot of photos to put in, and I don't know how to select multiple photos and put them in the album. Help me please!

Create  an album in the left hand pane of iPhoto and drag the 4 photos into it.  Open the albume and select all four photos and click on the Share button.  Next select Email and go from there.

  • Selecting Multiple Photos in iPhoto

I just purchased my first mac and I'm having trouble learning a few things...
    1) I can't select multiple photos in iPhoto to upload to walgreens.com to have them print etc..
    2) If I transfer photos from my camera to my mac, do I have to duplicate them to iPhoto and my picture file? If I don't copy them from iPhoto to my normal picture folder I can't seem to find the pictures from 3rd party upload sites.
    3) Is there a stinking "home page" button anywhere here when using the internet browser?
sorry for the non iPhoto toss in

Welcome to the Apple user to user assistance forums
    1) I can't select multiple photos in iPhoto to upload to walgreens.com to have them print etc..
There are many, many ways - probably the easiest and most general is to flag the photos you want to upload then make a new smart album where photo is flagged, select all the photos in the new album and export them to a folder and upload from the folder
I recommend that you go to www.apple.com and take the tutorials listed on the right side of the page - they will save you a great deal of time in the future
    2) If I transfer photos from my camera to my mac, do I have to duplicate them to iPhoto and my picture file? If I don't copy them from iPhoto to my normal picture folder I can't seem to find the pictures from 3rd party upload sites.
No - click here for a discussion of safely and easily accessing your photos.
    3) Is there a stinking "home page" button anywhere here when using the internet browser?
At the right end of the address window there is a yellow left facing arror - click it to return to the first page you opened (or the page you marked for snap back)
Again it will help a lot to take the Apple tutorials

  • Selecting multiple photos

I used to be able to print multiple prints, N-up style, from an album I made by selecting them all by holding down the shift key and clicking on all desired photos, then selecting print, N-up, and number per page. Now in iPhoto 6 when I try to select multiple photos, and shift click doesn't work, and choosing 'select all' from the pull down menu doesn't work either. All I can get it to do is print multiple copies of the SAME photo (not desired).
    HELP!!!! thanks

Apple-click is the key combo to multiple select, shift-click gathers all the files between two points...
However, being unable to select photos is often because the Helvetica font has been disabled. Check that it is working normally using the Font Book.

  • IPhoto '08 - tag multiple photos while writing

    Hi,
I'd like to know whether it's possible to:
Select several photos (yellow frame) and write the keyword for these photos rather than selecting the keyword from keyword assistant. I do not want to use the keyword shortcuts either.
The former iPhoto '06 plugin for keywords was able to provide this function.
    Thanks
    n00b

    This is from iPhoto Help:
*Assigning keywords or checkmarks to a photo*
Keywords are labels you can add to your photos so you can easily find all the photos in a specific category.
You can also give photos a checkmark. This makes it easy to mark all the photos that you want to add keywords to later, or that you want to consider for a specific project, such as a book.
    To assign keywords or checkmarks:
Select the photo or photos you want to add a keyword or checkmark to.
    Choose Window > Show Keywords.
To stop viewing the keywords, choose View > Keywords again.
You can select multiple photos and follow the above procedure. You can create your own keyword by clicking on "edit keyword" and then on the plus sign.

  • IPhoto 5 select multiple problem

Currently running iPhoto 5.0.4 and I cannot drag more than one photo into a photo album. I have not had this problem with past versions and I am pretty sure it is a bug of some sort. I have trashed the preferences file, clean installed iPhoto from the disc, rebuilt the photo library and still cannot move multiple photos. Anyone having this problem and have a solution? When I select multiple photos and go to drag them instead of showing a number above the desired location, it does nothing.

Apparently it had to do with a missing font in my system font folder (Helvetica.dfont). No idea how the font was lost, but I guess the number for moving multiple photos uses this font and without it, the process wouldn't work at all.

  • Selecting multiple photos while scrolling...

How do I select multiple photos and scroll down my photo album page at the same time on iPhoto?

Just figured this out while getting used to a new MacBook Pro
Using the Multi-Touch Gesture feature, you can easily scroll up and down your iPhoto Library with the two-finger scroll on the trackpad while holding down the Command button to select non-adjacent photos.

  • How do you  select multiple photos from photostream to move to a folder

how do i select multiple photos from photostream to move to a folder in iphoto

    Hello Tiggertiffany,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you need to select multiple items on iCloud.com then you can use the common procedure to select multiple items by either holding Command or Shift on your keyboard.
To select multiple files or folders, hold down the Command (⌘) key, then click the items.
To select multiple files or folders that are listed together, click the first item you want to select, hold down the Shift key, then click the last item.

  • How to see full size images when selecting multiple photos

In the Photos app, I click to view a photo and it shows up full screen like it used to.  But now when I try to select multiple photos to upload to an email by hitting the send-to button at the lower left, suddenly all the photos are thumbnails at the top and a host of options fill the screen where the full-sized image used to be.  Without full size previews I can't tell what photos in a series are really the better ones.  Is there a way in iOS 8.1.1 to flip through your photos full screen and only select a few?  It seems like this worked before but now this function has been removed?  Thanks

Thanks for your answer. I think you are correct.
I did discover that when entering the first letter of a keyword in the box, a list comes up with suggestions.  Frequently that list is only of the keywords that begin with the letter I entered.  Once in a while I can get the entire list but I don't know how I do it.  It seems intermittent but I suspect it is not. Any idea how that happens? Thanks again.

  • Elements 3.0, select multiple photos to process

In Elements 3.0 is there a way to select multiple photos that are open and then resize them to the same size, for example, or adjust the brightness on all the the photos at once? Thanks.

Try the "File Browser" in the Editor.  I'm pretty sure you can batch resize;  I'm not sure about adjusting the brightness.

  • Why does my iphone only send one picture multiple times when i select multiple photos to send?

why does my iphone send one picture multiple times when i select multiple photos to send (via message or email)?

Are you sending via Camera itself?
That is, selecting a picture, then select forward link symbol from bottom left
    then select another picture,
Each time make sure you see the blue check mark at bottom right of each selected picture.
The number of " # Photos Selected" should be displayed at the top.
Then select Mail or Message and transmit.

  • Can I select multiple photos from iPhoto to edit in Photoshop Elements?

From iPhoto I am wanting to select all the photos from an event or album to edit in Photoshop Elements to avoid having to switch back and forth between the two. I have PSE set up as the external editor in iPhoto. When I have the photos selected in iPhoto and click the edit button, the most photos that will show in the PSE project bin is 4. I can go back to iPhoto and select more and they will be added to the existing photos in the project bin, but again I am trying to avoid having to go back and forth, and want to be able to edit one event/album in one sitting. I've tried highlighting each individual photo within an event, and also just the event, but still the max is 4 photos. It seems when I did this a couple months ago it worked fine, but since it is not doing it now I am questioning whether I imagined the whole thing! Is there a way to have more than 4 photos at a time? Thanks in advance for all help provided.

Hi, cyndy. Welcome to the discussions. No, 4 is the largest number you can send to PSE at one time. (This is an iphoto limitation, incidentally, not a PSE limitation.)
