IPhoto 4.0.3: Creating Homepage Photos WITH my picture titles?

Using 4.0.3, how can I create a Homepage album that INCLUDES my photos' titles without having to "edit" them in, after creating the homepage album? Am I not able to export iPhoto pictures with their titles rather than those numbers?

Thanks for any help.

  • I'm new to Photoshop CC and trying to create a collage with 16 pictures.  Help

    I need help in creating a collage with 16 pictures.

    So you created a document 192000 pixels wide, and 108000 tall, and  set the type to be 2 inches tall.  Yes, the type is going to take a few minutes to render in that document.
    Yes, you created a document much bigger than you probably intended (you probably wanted 1920 PIXELS by 1080 PIXELS).
    Pixels and inches are not the same, and you need to pay attention to the units.

  • How can I fix iphoto 08 so it will edit photos with Snow Leopard?

    Ever since I upgraded to SL, my iphoto 08 (ver 7.1.5) won't edit photos anymore. I just get the beach ball of death if I try to edit in full screen. I have sent two feedback msgs to Apple but have not received any sort of "fix." Where can I find this info? I have looked and read, and hoped....... HELP! Thanks so much!

    Bak to the main Library:
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Iphoto is date stamping my imported photos with an incorrect year

    I have imported a number of photos from my camera sd cards to iphoto via the card slot on my Mac.  Some have been incorrectly year stamped (confirmed in the "info" button in iphoto) e.g. the latest import is showing 7 September 2012 and should be stamped 7 September 2013 and the photos are obviously catalogued in the incorrect date sequence in iphoto.  Is this a software fault or can I fix this myself, please? The fault has occured with different sd cards.
    HELP please.

    You can fix it with the Photos Menu command to adjut date and time.

  • IPhoto's Faces has created duplicate photo, events, and small photos capturing just faces

    i bought this MBP late last year and import iPhoto Library from old MBP. Faces feature has created many thousands small photos capturing just faces of people in the photos.
    It also created lots of duplicated photos.
    How to delete these photos in batch?

    Larry,
    Sorry for the delay. I have tried copy the iPhoto Library from the old MB via the external HDD as following screenshot.
    However, when i plug this exrternal HDD to the new MBP. it turned out to bew the folder as photo attached below. I am not sure if this is because they use different version or not (but i guess not).
    pls advice.

  • Create a photo with a linear gradient transparency

    Hello,
    I cannot figure out how to add a transparent gradient to my photos in either Illustrator or Photoshop. Is there no "clear" setting I can add to a gradient?
    Thanks!

    Christie,
    Steve may be out looking at the Northern Lights.
    You may:
    1) Select the image (the photo);
    2) Click with the Rectangle Tool somewhere on the Artboard and set the same W and H values (you can see them in the Transform panel);
    3) Place the rectangle exactly on top of the image (you may use the X and Y values from the Transform panel, or the Align panel centre aligning, or snap it (maybe using Smart Guides), or some other way);
    4) In the Toolbox (at the bottom) remove the stroke if any and click the Gradient Tab for the Fill (if the Document Colour Mode is RGB this is enough, otherwise set C=M=Y=K = 100%;
    5) In the Transparency panel flyout (upper right arrow) click Opacity Mask>Make, click Invert Mask.

  • I accidentally created an album with 1000 pictures in it.  If I delete the ALBUM will it also delete those same photos in my library?

    I don't want to lose those photos but I don't want the album either.  Thanks in advance.

    Albums are simply one way to view photos - deleting a photo from an album simply deletes it from he album - it has no effect on the photo in the library - if there is nothing in the album that you want you can just delete the album with no effect on the library

  • Photos with numbers and titles.

    I have transferred folders of photos from my PC to my iPad and found that the order of the images the Album has changed despite the fact that they were numbered in the original file folder.   Also on iPad Albums they loose any titles.
    What I would really like in a photo App is one that maintains the order of the images whether being viewed as a 'SlideShow' or just viewed one at a time. In addition, when the photos are being displayed in full screen I would like to be able, by the touch of a finger, be able to see the title of the photo overlaid at the bottom of the screen, and equally as simply, removed from the screen when read.
    My questions are
         Will iPhoto do this for me?  I don't really need all the image processing that iPhoto offers because I do all that work on my PC before downloading images to my iPad.
         Does anyone know of an App. that does?

  • When I synced my iphone 4s with photos from my Blackberry it creatsd 2 albums with the same photos. with 1677 pictures in each, how do i delete one of them?

    It created two libraries "Blackberry" and "Photo Library" and I need to delete one but it will not allow a delete.

    This is how Apple handles photos.
    They are NOT duplicates.
    Just all songs are in your library, and those exact same songs can be accessed from a playlist, all photos synced to your iphone are in Photo Library, you can access those exact same photos (not duplicates) from teh folder/album that you synced.
    If you sync 10 albums, you will have one Photo Library where all the pics reside.  You can access those same photos via the different albums you synced.

  • Create Card Collage with 30 pictures on each sde

    I want to create a Collage of 30 images (pictures of people) I need to create 2 of these. I will be up-loading them to our business site and will be using our own software to create a REAL Card which will be Mailed by the US Postal Service for me. (Our business addresses, stamps, licks and send cards for clients.)
    The Real Card will have a picture on the front and then in the inside left will be the 1st group of 30 people and the inside right will have the 2nd group of 30 people.
    I have been able to create the collage and upload them but when they get on the card. The groups are real small. When I am creating the collage it looks big and ok but when I save it I am probably not saving in the right size.. I have looked around but can not find out how to take the group of 30 pictures and then save it in a different size.
    I am on a deadline to get this done. Any help would be appreciated.

    The following are the requirements that I need for 'input' into our business program.
    I am trying to figure out how the dimensions that I need for my cards equate to the layout for the collage in Photo Elements.
    Horizontal Card
    Template size: 5.375 " x 7.5" (1613 pixels x 2250 pixels)
    1/4" of image will trim from top, bottom, & right side.
    1/8" of left hand side of your image will wrap to the back of the card. In Picture Plus you will not see this part of the image.
    Trim size is 5" x 7" (1500 pixels x 2100 pixels)
    Safe area: 4.5" x 6.5" x 4.5" (1350 pixels x 1950 pixels)
    Vertical Card
    Template size: 7.5" x 5.375" (2250 pixels x 1613 pixels)
    1/4" of image will trim from top, bottom, & right side.
    1/8" of left hand side of your image will wrap to the back of the card. In Picture Plus you will not see this part of the image.
    Trim size is 5" x 7" (1500 pixels x 2100 pixels)
    Safe area: 6.5" x 4.5" (1950 pixels x 1350 pixels)
    This is how I created the Collage Layout
    File > New > Blank File
    Preset= 4x6
    Width= 4"
    Height= 6"
    Resolution 300 Pixels (I have tried 500 & 600 also)
    Color Mode= RGB
    Backgroud= White
    File Open
    Select picture
    Move picture into Layer
    (Comes in real small.)
    Bottom Left hand corner it says 33.33%
    Based on the requirements I need for input. Am I doing it wrong to create the template(layout)
    Thanks

  • Creating a report with a Picture in Windows 7

    We have Oracle reports 10g (10.1.2.0.2). From Reports Builder, when running any report that has a picture, I keep the picture in : C:\oradev1012\reports\templates and it runs without issue. However, it runs without issue using a Windows XP machine, not Windows 7. When running on Windows 7, and trying to run a local RDF from Report builder, where should I put the pictures so Report builder can see them?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Create a photo collage from iphoto

    I am trying to create a photo collage from pictures from iphoto but I have no idea where to begin. What program do I open for this and do I do a lot of cutting and pasting? I am new to the computer thing so any help would be great.

    lilgag:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. There are several 3rd party application that will take a folder of photos and create a collage or mosiac of them. One will create a selected picture out of the rest of the photos. They may or may not do what you want. Search VersionTracker.com for "collage" or "mosiac".
    The other way, as you're mentioned, is to use an image editor that will let you create a blank canvas and then open, cut and past other photos to it. Photoshop Elements would be my choice for a 3rd party editor for that and most other edits. Here are a couple of examples of the extreme types of edits that can be performed by it with a little experience.

  • I am looking for software to store photos with.  I am not a fancy photographer, and really am just looking for the digital version of a photo album. iPhoto is not cutting it, mainly because it does not back up and restore easily on an external HD.

    I am looking for software to store photos with.  I am not a fancy photographer, and really am just looking for the digital version of a photo album. iPhoto is not cutting it, mainly because it does not back up and restore easily on an external HD.

    That's how Time Machine and iPhoto now work.  Restore the library to one of the external HDs, check it for the photos you want, export them to the boot drive and delete the restored library.
    If you know the file name of the photo you're looking for you can search for them in the TM backup using Find Any File.
    My workflow allows me to do that:
    1 - upload new photos to a folder on the Desktop.
    2 - name the folder to represent the contents and date: 01/03/10-Toads Bday
    3 - use a file renaming app to sequentially rename the photos in the folder to: 2010-01-03-Toads Bday-001.JPG,  -002,JPG, -003.JPG,  etc.
    4 - import the folder into iPhoto creating an Event with the same title as the folder.
    Now I can search for those file by file name with any app of my choosing.

  • Iphoto - when exporting photos with their titles,iPhoto changes the manual sequence that I have given and imposes an alphabetical sequence

    Mac mini
    Processor  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000 768 MB
    Software  OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)
    When exporting a group photos with their individual titles, iPhoto changes the manual sequence that I have given and imposes its own sequence (which seems to be alphabetical).  The export dialogue box allows me to use my titles or to impose a numerical sequence.
    How can I keep my titles and the sequencing that I had carefully worked out?

    What you are missing is that files have no order - you view them using a program and that program creates the order
    When viewing in an iPhoto album you can sort manually and iPhoto will display the photos as you sorted them - but when you move to a different program (the finder for example) you have a totally different set of sorts available - for example in the finder the same set of files can be viewed in alpha order, in size order, in date modified order, etc - none of those are inherent in the file but are sorts set under the view menu
    So to meet your requirements you must export with file attributes that allow the finder view options to present your desired view - which is what volunteers here have tried to help with - even though it really does not involve IPhoto in any way
