IPhoto 5 slideshow music still available after upgrade to iPhoto6?

I've just upgraded to iPhoto6 and see that the default slideshow music has changed. I'd still like to use the iPhoto5 default music - does anyone know if this should still be available?

iLife 6 installs a new bunch of sounds, tunes, Garageband loops, etc. as well as the older ones. I believe you will be very impressed with the assortment that Apple provides (/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/iLife Sound Effects Folder). I know I was!

My iTunes currently only contains all of the music I have purchased from the iTunes Store but nothing that was burned to my iTunes.     1. Should be possible to do that; go to the Utilities menu and select 'reset password' before starting the installer. (while booted from the DVD of course)
    2. Standard installation of SL only replaces system components; applications, user data and preference settings should not be affected.
    3. But you do have a backup just in case, don't you?

  • Flv export still not available after upgrade

    After upgrading to Flash CS3 the option to export to flv is
    still not available on my Intel Mac from Quicktime Pro or Final Cut
    Pro 5.1.14. I upgraded with the understanding that the new version
    would be universal binary and would offer this ability that was
    there on PPC Macs. Is anyone else having this problem?

  • IPhoto 11 slideshow music: Can I start music after 1st slide?

    Can I start the music at the second slide in IPHOTO 11 slideshow?

    No. However, you can add a  track of dead air (silence) of a few seconds and use that track with the other track in a custom playlist. You may have to experiment with the length depending on the length of the sideshow if you use Scale to Music.  If you set a definite slide display time create the dead air track to that length.
    You can use a 3rd party audio editor or Garageband to create the dead air track.

    Hello - Anyone else had problems selecting itunes music library? When selecting my Library or Playlist, contents not available. iPhoto only plays first song of the playlist.

    I also had the same problem after upgrading from iPhoto 5.
    I think the trick is, when selecting the music, drag the dot (pip) down so that it shows a larger box at the top, then select your playlist in this box. The tunes that are in the playlist should show in the lower box. Then click ok.

  • Essentials Connector: The server is not available after upgrade from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 8.1. Pro

    Hi all
    As many others I am facing also connection problems with Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2 and a windows client pc.
    The client pc in question, with windows 8 pro, has been successfully joined through the essentials connector to the domain.
    All things went good: media streaming, shared folders, a successfull backup has been started through the essentials launchpad, the client appeared as online in the devices tab of the essentials dashboard.
    Then I upgraded the pc to windows 8.1 pro.
    Now the client can't connect to the server. Following issues appear:
    The client pc is showed as offline the the dashboard when it is online.
    Backups (from launchpad or server) aren't  possible -> no connection to the windows server essentials adminitration service.
    Dashboard not available from launchpad
    The message "the server is not available" appears, when I try to reconnect the client by the essentials connector.
    BUT:
    ping to the server's ip address works.
    media streaming is also ok
    shared folders are still available.
    Any ideas what changed with the upgrade to 8.1 Pro? Is the a firewall problem on the client pc?

    PS. If anyone needs a specific log file from the server or the client, please let me know.

    I executed all you instructions, but nothing helped.
    I add here the ClientDeploy.log and the ComputerConnector.log
    The ClientDeploy stopps after a registry insert error.
    The user executing the connector is member of the Administrators Group on the Client pc.
    I started the connector even with "Run as Administrator" but nothing helped.
    Any ideas why this registry insert failes?

  • Iphoto 09 slideshow, music is not coming out when i export to idvd

    hello,
    I made a slideshow with about 500 pictures in iphoto 09. I aded music- several songs using a custom playlist. The music plays when i preview the slideshow in iphoto, but when i checked it after exporting (sharing to idvd) idvd the music does not play when i preview the slideshow before burning in idvd. I tried exporting a short slideshow and the music played back. Any suggestions?

  • ICloud drive disk still full AFTER upgrading to 1TB storage space

    Hello,
    I just bought the $19.99/month 1TB iCloud storage plan so that I can back up all 800GB of my iMac data to my iCloud Drive. However, when I drag and drop my files over to my iCloud Drive in Finder, it says disk full. Am I doing something wrong? There should definitely be more than enough room. I have also checked to make sure my storage plan was indeed upgraded correctly in iCloud management and there is definitely a full 1TB of available space.
    I have even tried backing up my files to my iCloud Drive using Time Machine. My understanding was that with the Yosemite 10.10.2 update, iCloud Drive should now show in Time Machine's preferences as a back up drive option. But after upgrading to 10.10.2, I still do not see it in there as an option.
    Please help!

    No, iCloud Drive is meant for the working copies of your documents - to store them on a central location in iCloud and update them on all your devices. The shadow copies are there, to guarantee, that you can access the documents, when you are offline.  See:  iCloud Drive FAQ
    Sounds like using Time Machine to backup a single copy to my iCloud Drive would achieve this right? But as I said in my original post, I'm not seeing iCloud Drive as a back up target disk option in preferences.
    Time Machine can backup your iCloud Drive, but it cannot backup to iCloud drive. Perhaps you misunderstood, what the latest Yosemite update meant for Time Machine:  (see this link:

    Adds the ability to browse iCloud Drive in Time Machine
    This means, that you can now restore your iCloud Documents from Time Machine more easily, because you can browse them, but Time Machine cannot store backups on iCloud Drive.

  • IPhoto Book Slideshow Music Settings Not Working

    When I try to view a Photo book as a slideshow, a default guitar music track plays. When I uncheck "Play music" the music still plays. When I try to change the music, the default guitar track still plays. It seems the music settings are not holding or being recognized. Curiously, I do not have these issues when viewing an standard photo "album" or other group of images in iPhoto, only when viewing my Photo books. Is this a bug?

    Is any of the music purchased from the iTunes Store?

  • Iphoto 08 slideshow music not playing

    After making a slideshow with iphoto I mixed some songs together using garageband, then exported the mixed songs to iTunes.
    But when I choose that track in iTunes for my slideshow it doesn't play. I've tried a bunch of other songs they won't play either. I have done this before using iphoto 06 and didn't have any problems. But now with 08 I can't seem to get any music to play with my slideshow.
    Which means no exporting to iDVD, no burning to a disk, no showing off to my friends.
    Can anybody tell me what my problem is??

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Are you able to get non-Garageband mixed playlists to work in iPhoto's slideshows? If so then there's something GB is doing to the joined tracks that iPhoto doesn't like. For that you'd probably get more informed responses in the Garageband forums.

    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • IPhoto 5.0.4 still available?

    I had to erase and reinstall everything on my iBook dual USB due to extent allocation errors that Disk Utility couldn't fix. Now I'm reinstalling everything. I've got iPhoto 5.0.1 installed OK but would like to update it to the latest version (5.0.4 I believe). I can't upgrade to iPhoto 6 because this model iBook doesn't meet the system requirements.
    Are updates to iPhoto 5 still available somewhere? Thanks for any help!

  • Will all my apps still work after upgrade?

    I am always nervous doing any updates because inevitably some apps start working funny or don't work at all after them. I really want to update to Lion, but I'm concerned about some older apps I have, the number one being Final Cut Pro 7. Will this still work after the Lion upgrade? As well as all my other software?

    Connect an bare external drive and install Lion onto that. Test all of your critical software to ensure it works. If you have some vitally important piece of 3rd party software that doesn't work in Lion, you may have to continue to use Snow Leopard until an update to that 3rd party software is available or you find a replacement.

  • 5GHz channels no longer available after upgrading to 10.7.3

    I'm currently using Late-2009 iMac and for some reason after upgrade to 10.7.3 I couldn't connect to any 5GHz network at all. In the System Profiles, Wi-Fi menu now says:

    Interesting. If you can still connect via wired (or 2.4GHz wireless), I would download the 10.7.3 combo update from apple support and reapply it. It appears the driver and family did not fully install with the update.

  • IPhoto 11 - slideshow music issue on manual picture change

    Hi community,
    do you experience the same behaviour?
    When navigating through the pictures in an iPhoto 11 slideshow manually e.g. by using forward and backward arrow keys, then the music always stutters or let's say "jumps" a little bit. Very annoying!
    Does anybody have the same issue? Does anybody know a solution for this?

    Yes.  iPhoto is jumping to the music synced to that slide when you use the advanced arrow key.  That's normal.   The only solution is to let the slideshow play itself out.
