IPhoto 9.4 crashing after update
I have updated Mountain Lion last night to 10.8.2 along with iPhoto 9.4. Afterwards, I could open the iPhoto only once fully. Suddenly it stopped working and always I am getting an error message that my library has inconsistency and needs repair. When I click yes, it finishes repairing and goes to Thumbnail updates which keeps on happening and finally it is irresponsive. I have to force quit. Then I trashed the iPhoto and redownloaded from App Store and again the same story repeats. Please help me solve this issue. Thanks in Advance.

To create a new library: Hold down the options-key ⌥, while you double click the iPhoto icon in the Dock. Select to create a other/new library, then import some photos and experiment.
If iPhoto does not even work with a new library, I suggest to reinstall iPhoto.
I have not tried to delete and reinstall iphoto yet, hesitating doing that as my library is 115 GB.
Your photos are inside the iPhoto Library, not in the iPhoto application package, so they will not be deleted by reinstalling - the instalaltion will only replace the application, not the library. Launch iPhoto after reinstalling by holding down the options-key ⌥ and double clicking, to be able to select your library.
very time I open iPhoto, I get an error message stating that my library has inconsistencies and it needs to be repaired.
If iPhoto works well with a new, empty library, you need to trouble shoot your iPhoto library. It looks like you need to rebuild your iPhoto library - a simple repair will not suffice in this case.
Select your iPhoto Library in the Finder, firmly hold down the key combination ⌥⌘ while you double click the library to launch into the "first aid" panel. Hold down the keys until the panel appears. Select "Rebuild Database". This support article explains the procedure in more detail:

Just in case, this still does not solve the problem, try the "Option 2" in Terence Devlin's post here:

Iphoto, imovie, aperature crash after mountain lion update
All of my iPhoto, iMovie and recently purchased Aperature crash after updating to Mountain Lion. I tried reinstalling the programs
after update ( per apple phone tech support. Did not work same crash. I took my computer to the genius bar and he suggested
making multiple "smaller libraries" or Aperature to fix the problem. The smaller libraries got it to stop crashing but Faces reset, and
all the photos and events are all mixed up not the way I had organized them all.
So I tried Aperature for $80. It crashes worse than iPhoto. The genius bar told me Aperature is designed for Large libraries and
iPhoto is not. I have over 500Gb of Photos or 40,000+ pictures. I have read some of the forums looking for a solution but I'm trying to
figure out what is the best one? Preference files? Going with the multiple smaller libraries? Not Sure. Here are the first lines of the

This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. -

I hope someone can help me. My phone crashed after updating it to IOS 8.3. I can't use it cause its stucked on the start up menu, the apple logo with black background. Even when I restart my phone, it is still stuck on the start up menu, the black background with apple logo in the middle.Slone,
I finally decided to turn this annoyance into an opportunity. After a lot of experimenting I found that my iPad was just fine under 7.1 if I simply restored it as new. I have a lot of time on my hands and I had 1424 apps on my iPad! This is why every attempt to restore took so long.
I decided to restore as new, spend a day restoring the apps I really used. Doing so gave me a quick iPad with only bout a quarter of the storage used.
Granted it was a pain in the arse, but I wrote it off as in the old days when you had to do this with windows 95 just to keep a stable system.
I DO have some data in a few files of the now unused backup but a quick google search finds a couple Mac programs out there that will allow you go extract audio recordings, app data files etc. from the backup. I'll do that someday if I even miss the files I've probably forgotten that are there.
Anyway, there was nothing wrong with my hardware. I think there were just some troublesome setup items that 7.1 didn't like. Once set up as new, the ipad was fine.

Ipad constantly crashing after updating to iOS 8.1.3.
ipad constantly crashing after updating to iOS 8.1.3. I can't restore it to factory settings. I can't even turn it off. It just keeps crashing and trying to reboot etc. Sometimes I see the black screen with the white apple and sometimes the screen is white. I saw it say "Hello" once, but then it crashed again. While rebooting, it does sync up with itunes briefly and is recognized. When I try to restore, it says I need to turn off "find my iphone" but I can't access any settings within the ipad to do that. Also, it tells me I need to enter my passcode to continue, but I can't do that either since the ipad is constantly in crash mode.

My iphone 5c crashed after updating to IOS 8.02 and now i don't have anything from the last 3 months. What do I do?
Don't worry about that. iPhone stuck in recovery mode always happens when you update the iOS on your iPhone. There are two ways to solve it.
First is is to put your iPhone in DFU mode.
Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the Power and Home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the Home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode.
If DFU mode can't solve the problem, I'm afraid the only solution is to try some 3rd party software, like iPhone data recovery or something like that. You may simply try the tutorial here: How to Fix iPhone that is Stuck in Recovery Mode. -

N.B i work with MAC BOOK PRO (intel ) with 2 GB of ramHi there, same problem here but on a PowerPC.
I just bought AE7 and installed it on my G5 (with then 10.3.7 running on it). Install went fine but the application would not start up.
Thought this might be a good time to clean up and installed fresh new system on this G5, updated it to 10.3.8 and first thing: installed AE7 again.
But: same problem. In fact, all Adobe application will not start up! The icon bounces a little and then nothing but a crash report.
For a moment I thought I had the solution, because I disabled all the "user fonts". Everything worked fine. Then I installed, as before, my Apple applications (Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, etc) and, oh no... same problem over again. The Adobe application will not start up!
Tried to disable all non essential fonts: no cure. This is driving me crazy....
Any suggestions?

The NAC solution was working fine for a year, but since my costumer installed those fixes we have troubles to auth users in NAC, CAM can't read LDAP tree and CAS neither. I requested my customer to remove those fixes, they did it but they don´t have a snapshot or checkpoint previous to restore the servers.
We have followed the Cisco's tshoot guides but the problem continues...
Any suggestion?Could you please retpye ktpass on Win2003 server.You said CAM crashed, Do you find any message on support log.

Option in MAIL to "Add to iPhoto" isn't working after updating to Mountain Lion. Anybody else with this problem or sulution?
A brief search. Or even glancing at the "more like this" list to the right will show that this is a known problem and there is no current solution. Workaround includ saving to the desktop and importing from there or opening in Quick Look and adding to iPhoto from there

I am using infragistics UltraWebListbar to display list of menu in one of my page.
It was working fine with the earlier version of the firfox. But it crashes after updating to version 12.

Have you got SafariPlus installed? I had and 10.4.10 makes Safari with SafariPlus crash. BUT SafariPlus has been updated to a version for 10.4.10 - I downloaded it and it solves the problems.
All is now fine again!
