IPhoto 9.6 and 1 password version 5.0 Incompatible with Yosemite on late model 2009 iMac
Anyone else having issues trying to get 1Password Version 5.0 and iPhoto 9.6 to update in Yosemite on a late model 2009 iMac? When checking for updates, it says these are incompatible.

I have the original ipad (OS 5.1.1) using pages 1.7.2 and backing up to icloud. If I open up one of the docs from icloud, I can no longer open it on my ipad. Looks like the pages version gets updated to a version that is incompatible with my ipad. Is there anyway stopping icloud from changing the version and is there a way to recover the old version of the document on my ipad?

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard. -
Have photoshop cs6 for windows and am now migrating to a mac with Yosemite installed.

Have a student / teacher subscription. Trying to download and install applications on new mac pro with yosemite. Old applications still work on older Mac Pro. Can't download any applications. Creative Cloud website and desktop app both fail. Very frustrating. Anyone having this problem?
Chas50 I would recommend removing the currently installed Adobe Creative software. You can then install the new versions of the Adobe Creative software included with your membership. I just upgraded from Mountain Lion to Maverick (10.9.3) and Adobe CC is listed as incompatible with this OS. What do I need to do to make it work again? Just a patch/update or do I need to uninstall and install?

Adobe acrobat version 6.0 incompatible with Windows 7?
I am trying to download Adobe Acrobat 6.0 standard, and I am getting an error message that it is incompatible with my Windows 7 laptop. Is there a way around this, or do I simply need to upgrade to a later version of Adobe Acrobat? If so, which later version(s) do you recommend?
The only version you can buy today is XI (11.0).

I think what loaded was a firefox for google pack. But I'm not sure about that. Tried to use Yahoo, it said to try to clear my browser, or clear my cookies, or several other suggestions I can't remember. My AVG something or other has been disabled because it is incompatible with whatever firefox loaded.

No warning when downloading OS X 10.9.1 re the operating system disabling the iphoto programme! Result I now cannot access the photo's has any one else had this and found a solution. eg how to upgrade i photo?

It's not a good idea to allow websites to redirect to another site until you know for sure the original site is trustworthy.
But if you still want to do it (again not a good idea).

For the second part of your question " ...and if I can run the same vi with labview 8.0", the logical procedure would be to simply try to open it in LabVIEW 8.0. Takes a few seconds for an instant answer.
Most often, this works without any problems. In the worst case the VI is slightly broken and you need to tweak a few minor things.
What does the code do? Is it plain computation? Does it involve interaction with hardware (DAQ, etc.)?

Terrance thank you so much for responding. I was able to finally get my photo library to open by resetting the permissions then completing an upgrade. I accomplished this by reading through a number of posts here by you and others. Therefore I extend my thanks to you and everyone in the support network.

To solve problem I had to downgrade the version of Firefox from latest to an earlier version.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.

I was trying to save a copy of my iphoto library by copying images to my external harddrive. I wasn't sure how to do it, realised the hard drive is not compatible. Now the iphoto library wont open and reads "iphoto library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable".
I have tried to use options command and click on iphoto then rebuild yet nothing happens and same error message occurs.
I have gone to my personal drive, desktop, iphoto library, and found file Albumdata.xml and when i click on it, there is a lot of text in it, i am assuming these are all my photos.
I have tried clicking and dragging this file to iphoto app and it doesn't work, as the same error comes up in iphoto being in use or unreadable....
What am I meant to do with albumdata.xml file and how do I reopen Iphoto from here on in?
Please help as I am not technically minded and still trying to understand how to use the Macbook at all as I am used to Microsoft.

KSRule Number One - NEVER go directly uinto the iPhoto library - there are no user servicable parts in it and making any change no matter how small can corrupt your library and cause data or photo loss
Exactly how were you trying to save a copy of your iPhoto library?
Albumdata.xml does not contain your photos - and again NEVER make any changes to the content of the iPhoto library - no dragging - no changes - never go into the library
We need to know exactly what you did
And probalby the easiest solution is to load your backup from before you messed things up
For reference after you get things working
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

How do I set up pages and the rest of iWork to work with multiple users on the same iMac?
I have iWork '09 on my new iMac. It works fine on my my admin account, but I am trying to set up a user account for my wife on the same computer and I am having problems getting it to allow her to use it on her account. When I open it while logged in under her account it starts with the try/buy screen. I have already gone into the get info panye and changed the permissions for 'everyone' to read&write. But it did not work. Please can anyone help me out.
When you install you get the opportunity to install it for "All Users".
It sounds like you have a demo version on your Mac however, you need to delete it:

Can't select anchor points of some shapes in Photoshop CC 2014
