IPhoto after the installation is not working at all

Every time I tried to execute iPhoto I received the same message:
"*In order to open iPhoto, you need to update to the latest version*. +Please run Software Update to install it now+".
The big problem is that is not an update is a new installation of the iLife 11. The other software works fine but iPhoto doesn't.
So any one has a clue on what is going on here? What I am doing wrong?

I just ran the software update and it updated the iphoto to version 9.1.
It worked fine after that. Now my problem is that I got a new HDD and set it up from Time machine. Now iPhoto is loading forever on startup. Everything else works fine..

Well, just for future reference, any time you do an iOS upgrade, it is a good idea to back up your device just prior to doing the download. You can back it up to iCloud or to iTunes. Personally, I prefer to back it up to iTunes, and then to do the download via iTunes as well. Doing a Wifi download can, by the very nature of the OTA environment, run into more issues than a hard-wired one via iTunes.
If it is just a version release (like 8.0.1, or 8.0.2), then I might download it via Wifi, since the content is not likely to be very large. But for any major new release (7 to 8, etc.) it is always a good idea to do it via the USB cable rather than OTA.
I would also suggest that you set up your device to do automatic iCloud backups. Whenever it is turned on (i.e., not manually powered off - it can be "asleep"), plugged into a power source, and connected to Wifi, it will do an automatic backup every 24 hours. Mine usually backs up at night.
But even with my iCloud backup in reserve, I still did an iTunes backup before I upgraded to iOS 8. I like having the extra security of that second backup to choose from, should I need it. Here is a support article comparing the two types of backup:

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
-When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use this program instead of the buttons.
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

I recently purchased refurbished Apple TV to save few bucks, but I spend more than what I saved on refurbished one. I would suggest every one not to buy any refurbished product from Apple online store. The remote which come along with the unit is not working at all. I changed couple of batteries as I thought initially that the batteries may not be working but no success at all. I saved $14 on refurbished unit, but in total I have spend $10 to fix the issue but still it hasn't been fixed yet. I have taken an appointment for yesterday at Toronto Eaton center Apple store and again it will cost me atleast $25 again ($15 for parking and $10 for gas as I have to drive from Hamilton).
Does any one else have the same issue like this?

Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

You have reinstalled the drivers???
What drivers do you mean?
The keyboard driver is a part of the Windows OS and it cannot be reinstalled separately.
If your keyboard doesnt work properly then either the software doesnt run as it should or the hardware (keyboard) is faulty.
You could try to reinstall the OS using the Toshiba HDD recovery to check if the issue is related to the software.
If the keyboard will not work after this procedure, then an hardware issue could be possible.

Open Acrobat. Use the click-path Edit - Preferences - select the Category "Email Accounts". In the dialog there is the "Add Account" drop-down. Select "Add Other". The "Add Webmail Account" dialog presents. You'll fill out the dialog's fields with Outlook.com settings. (don't forget the "Advance Settings" button)
From a look-see on the web it appears that the following are the needed settings. BUT, you'll be wanting to validate.

You have to upgrade to 10.6.8 to be able to download iTunes 10.7 or 11. The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. First we need to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard.
The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion.

My Macbook Pro Retina's USB port on the right side not working at all

I received my macbook pro 15inch with retina display a week ago, but not until today had I got the chance to use the USB port on the right side, only to find out that it is not connecting to anything at all. I have tried to use my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 with two different cables, my USB thumb drive, and my Blackberry 9900, none of them are charging nor shown in iTunes/Finder. All of above works on the left and on other windows machines too.
I'm also not able to charge my Blackberry with the usb port on the left side, thought it would pop up a message saying "charging not supported" on the phone.
For you information, I have applied both updates including the one released few days ago. I have also tried to reset the PRAM. Also, I have migrated from my old late 2008 13inch unibody Macbook using Migration Assistant, not sure if this would affect anything.
I'm aware that there have been reports and discussions regarding the USB port not been able to run devices on 3.0 speed, but I wonder if anyone else have the same problem with me, where the port simply not connecting to anything at all?

I also have a problem with the USB port on the right side of my Retina MBP. The USB3.0 port on the left side works fine, even with high speed external SSD enclosures, like the OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G which enables me to copy large files at a sustained rate of 160-170MB/sec. Wow USB3.0 and the Mercury SSD is a FAAAAST combination connected to the Retina MBP.
However, like the forum entries about the USB3.0 ports in general on the new Retina MBP, the USB3.0 port on the RIGHT side is plagued with dropping intermittently, disconnecting my external hard drives while copying large files AS WELL AS disconnecting while just sitting there connected to an external hard drive and doing nothing.
Therefore, since I don't feel like returning my Retina MBP and waiting weeks for a replacement, I have chosen to only use the left side USB3.0 port for now.
I have my suspicions about why the right side USB port might be more problematic than the left side one. I found this older post on the internet about how "Not all USB ports are created equal on MacBooks..." that talks about how on older models of MacBooks one of the USB ports shares a USB hub with multiple other devices like the iSight camera etc. therefore making it less tolerant of heavy traffic or something like that. Therefore, I wonder if the right side USB port is sharing a USB internal hub where-as the left side one is more 'dedicated' and therefore in my case able to handle the high speed transfers/traffic I am throwing at it with my external SSDs.
I have also read that USB3.0 in general, on non-Macs, has had trouble for years. For instance, some forum entries on Apple Support Communities and other non-Apple forums has made mention that 'they' are not surprised at the problems encountered on USB3.0 external hard drives connected to the Retina MBP because Windows laptops have had a lot of flakey problems with USB3.0 for 'years'.
Also, I have recently purchased a "Buffalo" external Thunderbolt 1TB drive from OWC and have been doing Clones onto that drive for several weeks. I use SuperDuper to clone >600GB of data on my 768GB Retina MBP several times a week. And, I have (knock on wood) not had any problems with the stability of my externally connected Thunderbolt drive.
So, in my case, I am racking it up to high-speed stresses on the USB3.0 ports at least in part...and perhaps the possibility that the LEFT side USB port on the Retina MBP is more dependable and/or a more dedicated USB port than the right side one.
This doesn't really solve your problem, but it may at least help you feel like you are not alone.

Every time I tried to open it I was asked to repair it but it failed every time and the error message was- "Caution... The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it.... OK" Does anybody have similar problem? Please help. Txs

Repairing Keychains after the Login Catastrophe not working

After going threw the Log in Disaster and 48 Hours later, i'm finally at the desktop. So I Ran the Key Acsess App, and ran the Keychain first aid and got the following error;
Warning: keychain ~ /Library/keychains/[username]is missing the keychain extention
[then in RED it says]
Failed to rename~/Library/Keychains/[Username] to `/Library/Keychains/[Username],reason: Error Domain=NSCocaError Code=4 UserInfo0=5e33e80 "The file""[User Name]" does not exist"

Yes I have, I did that one right away. Just to note, when I did the Single user command Fix, I deleted my user account and had to create a new one during the start up, it was sucsessful but it does now show an ERROR when I scan it.
I don't like errors, even if everthing looks fine on the outside...
