IPhoto album uploaded to Gallery-downloaded files revert to camera names

I have created an album in iPhoto 8.1 and uploaded it with full size photos to .me Gallery for relatives to view and download. I renamed the photos in iPhoto and those names appear fine in Gallery. But when people download the photos, the name reverts to the cryptic name the camera originally assigned. What gives? I chatted with the .me/Gallery folks and they said it's an iPhoto issue. Shouldn't WYSIWYG? Apple has been pretty good about that in the past. This was an unexpected result. Is there a fix?

Well, I sent the invite to myself, then went to the Gallery as an "outsider". I downloaded a photo and neither Preview or PhotoShop saw the Title, just the old photo name from the camera. Apple needs to fix this. Again, when someone downloads something they see titled as something, it shouldn't say something else when they open it.

I Photo will not recognize my photos when I try to import them from my camera. I can download on my work mac but not my personal. I tried to reformat the card and still nothing. I can however download them from a CDR. It's the strangest thing!! I can't figure this out, please help.

What camera is it? A Kodak? Those cameras have become a problem since the last update to iPhoto and possible the system. If you search the iPhoto community you'll find many topics regarding Kodak cameras and possible get a potential solution.

Downloading files directly from camera to Mac HD using LR 5.2

I have always been successful downloading directly from my camera to my hard drive using LR5.2. However, today, when i downloaded approximately 60% of my files of over 200 RAW photos by first "unchecking" all and then checking only those i wanted to save (before Importing) the screen went black and posted a message which read "select a source."
First time I encountered this, my camera battery showed half charge, but the second time i repeated the process with a fresh, fully charged camera battery I got the same error message. How do I recover those files on my computer (the photos are obviously still in the camera)? What went wrong?

Web gallery download file name

I noticed when I renumber photos in Aperture and upload them to a web gallery the number stays the same until I download the photo. When the photo is downloaded the name reverts to the original file name. Since these are clients I don't want them to see the original file names but rather the number I assigned in Aperture.
I guess the other question could simply be: How do I permanently change the photo name after I import it into Aperture?

When I open iPhoto it always tries to download files automatically. But the message is always that they can't be downloaded. I can't turn this auto action off and it is driving me crazy. Any help?

Quit iPhoto and to to the iPhoto library (by default in your pictures folder) - right click (control click) on it and select show package contents - find the folder named import (or importing) and drag it to the desktop - DO NOT MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGES - launch iPhoto and you will be fine.
Open the import(ing) folder and if there is nothing in it that you need move it to the trash and empty the trash

How to save an iPhoto album as a Power Point file

Working with iPhoto 9.5.1 on a MacBook Air OSX 9.5.1. I have created an album and need to transfer the images by email (without the large frame created by iPhoto when I go directly to Share ---> email).

iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> General
Set Mail as your preferred way of emailing.
Or export the images to the finder, zip them and attach them to an email with whatever app you use for emailing.

I cannot figure out how mobileme chooses the image to be the cover for the gallery. Is there a way to manipulate this?

Yes there is.
On MobileMe view the Gallery in View mode and click on the pic you want to use a Gallery Icon. Then click on the cog and choose 'Show Key Photo'.

How do I change the download files to be the name of the sending file and NOT ViewAttachment?

I started to access my Charter email via Firefox. The names of attachments (Microsoft WORD, PowerPoint and .txt files) appear correctly. However, when I choose to download and save the attachment, the real name is changed to Viewattachment(n) where n is the number of the download. I am still running Windows XP, but will soon receive a new computer with Windows 7.

PSE 8 won't automatically download files from my camera when connected

Hi,
I just installed PSE 8.0 -- I had previously been using PSE 6.0, so I installed PSE 8.0 then uninstalled PSE 6.0. Now, when I connect my camera, the PSE photo downloader does not launch automatically. I set the device start options in the control panel to open the PSE 8.0 organizer as documented in the PSE online help, but when I plug in my camera and turn it on, nothing happens.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. This function, the photo downloader, worked fine on PSE 6.0, which is the only thing that I've changed.
I suspect something got "uninstalled" unintentionally when I uninstalled PSE 6.0, but I could be wrong.
Any help is appreciated.

Download & upload of an excel file

Hi,
      I have a requirement where the data needs to be downloaded into an excel file and user will upload the same excel file after making required changes in the data.
I have used 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' to download the data to excel file. I have tried to upload the same excel file using 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' and 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP' function modules. But it is giving exceptions if I upload the same downloaded file directly. If I copy the data in the downloaded file to another excel file and upload this file, it is working.
I have tried using 'GUI_UPLOAD' with field separator which was also specified in 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' but in this case the data is uploaded into the internal table like,.
###&jkj, 0000 .......
Please suggest any other alternative.

Edited iphoto album but it deleted my edits and went to original album, any way to recover?

I edited an iphoto album. Macbook shut down and reverted to the original album. Any way to get the edited album back? About 3000 photos.

Go to your Pictures folder and select iPhoto. Enter Time Machine from the menu bar at the top. Once in TM go back in time (on the right side if the window) to the backup just before the problem happened. Select the iPhoto LIbrary and click on the Restore button.

How do I download (upload) iPhoto albums toa DvD?

I want to create a DvD for a relative with a series of old pictures of family members. I have three different albums for three different branches of the family. How can I get them into a folder on my hard drive and then burn them on a DvD? Or is there a simpler method.
