IPhoto and iPad sync

I put photos into iPhoto on my mac....then synced them with my iPad.  Later I went into my mac and made a bunch of edits and enhancements....however, when I synced again with my iPad, none of the edits show up.  What gives?

Seems like your edits should have been synced to your iPad. But you might try this.
Sync, but delete the albums on your iPad containing the photos you have changed on your Mac.
The sync again and reload those albums.

does iphoto for ipad sync with iphoto with the mac

That's so obvious we needed some kind of sync with these two.
    From net:
My ideal scenario is to enable syncing of various albums or events through iTunes to my iPad, then edit some photos with the iPad and have them sync back to the mac (preferably all with iTunes wireless sync). I gather it doesn't really work like that at the moment?
It doesn`t actually work at all...
You have to manually export the pictures to iTunes

Regarding the USB, see if zapping the PRAM helps.

my Nano locks up when I try to sync it.  My touch, and IPAD sync great.   I have reset my nano and no better??

Do you have any better luck with that if you update to iTunes 10.6.1.7?
From the notes for the release:
iTunes 10.6.1 provides a number of improvements, including:
    • Fixes several issues that may cause iTunes to unexpectedly quit while playing videos, changing artwork size in Grid view and syncing photos to devices.
    • Addresses an issue where some iTunes interface elements are incorrectly described by VoiceOver and WindowEyes.
    • Fixes a problem where iTunes may become unresponsive while syncing iPod nano or iPod shuffle.
    • Resolves an ordering problem while browsing TV episodes in your iTunes library on Apple TV.

  • IPhoto and iPad

Can anyone recommend their preferred Application to do organizing on their iPad and then sync their photos back to iPhoto. I am having a hard time finding an app that does this. To be more specific - I'm less concerned about "editing" on the iPad - more to adjust titles, tags, etc.
    Thanks.

  • HT4623 Iphone and ipad syncing issues

both my iphone and ipad stopped syncing with my computer (pc).  The ipad never charged from my pc anyway but the iphone did.  anyone else having this issue?

I fugured out that deleting from iPad does not delete from iPhone and whatever data is there is cloud will be retained for iPhone.

  • Just received replacement iPhone and trying to set up.  Can't get photostream photos to show up on new iPhone even though all 1800 pics show up on Mac iPhoto and iPad photostream.  What can I do to view my photos on my phone?

How can I get my photostream from Mac and iPad to show up on my new iPhone 4 replacement.  Broke my iPhone and received a new one but can't get it set up to see my photostream.  Can anyone help?

If her data was not backed up or synced to something, it's gone. Sorry.

  • Problems with itunes and ipad syncing artwork

    Hi there,
i am currently running Toshiba Satellite C50D windows 8.1 with itunes 11.3.0.54.
last week i downloaded 6 new songs, edited their file details through itunes and suscessfully synced them to my ipad 3 128gb iOS 7.1.1.
saturday night i downloaded a further 12 songs, added the artist and track name so i could find them quickly, but when i synced these across all of the artwork on my ipad vanished except the 6 song i did earlier in the week. i tried to sync it again the next day and now there is only 1 of the new song and 1 other old song with artwork.
all of the artwork is attached to the files in itunes through the get info section. but it does not pull through to the ipad. i have not changed the way that i sync, download, or save the music files.
i have tried deleting the whole library and adding it back maybe that would fix the issue. but instead of fixing anything it removed over 450 song details. but when you go into get info on the song you still have the lyrics and or artwork. but the info tab has reverted back to the download http link [example - Curtain Call - Eminem - When I'm Gone]. as well as any song that i have changed the start and end date has reverted back to 0:00 and its end.
i am currently going through the library making sure every song has the relevant details in each screen, but this is a VERY time consuming process.
is there an easier way? more to the point if i finish and then sync, and everything transfers properly. what are the chances of this happening again.
i pride myself on having an organised itunes because i can find everything. but this is ridicilous when my process has not changed from the previous day.
please there must be a reason as well as a logical explanation why this happened?...

    any solutions?

Sounds like it reset. Have you tried re-syncing? I find sometimes I have to turn off the computer and re-sync without doing anything else.

  • IMac and iPad sync with cloud no problems, iTouch with OSi4.2.1 is now wiped out, how do I sync contacts and mail?

I am not a happy mac user at the moment.  I have a new ipad OSi 5.0 works fine with my two Lion systems.  I have an iPod touch with OSi 4.2.1 I was trying to sync my calender, mail and contacts.  It did the mail and calender but it wiped out my contacts.  I not only want them back, I want them synced with the other systems.  I should not have to buy a new touch to get this to work!
I would be happy to upgrade the OSi if it was an option!

You can't actually delete an iCloud account but you can remove it by signing out at System Preferences>iCloud if it is the promary account, or in Mail, Contacts & Calendars if the secondary, and then juste ignore it.
The Blackeberry can only sync with data held under 'On My Mac'. iCloud can only sync with data under 'iCloud'.
When you set up iCloud your calendars and contacts were moved to the iCloud server. If you want to use Blackberry you will have to move them back to 'On My Mac' and not sync with iCloud: it's one or the other.
To move calendars, follow the second set of numbered instructions here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudmovecalendars.html
To move contacts, File>Export as vCard when you have selected all your contacts, then delete the contacts under iCloud, make 'On My Mac' the default and reimport the vCard.

  • Why don't my iPhone and iPad sync wirelessly anymore?

I just started college and ever since I got here, my phone and iPad 4 have not been syncing with iTunes wirelessly and it drives me crazy. I have wifi here and they're all connected to the same network...what might be preventing this from working?

    Settings>iCloud>Photo Stream>On. Do that on both devices. Or Settings>Photos and Camera>Photo Stream>On.
Photo Stream will only work with new photos that you have taken with either device - after you turn it on. It will not stream photos that were on the device before you turned it on.
And of course, you must be connected to Wifi in order for it to work.

  • IPod and iPad sync new computer

I have the original iPad and a touch. Desktop recently crashed, no backup. When I sync for first time w new computer, can data be transferred to iTunes from pad/pod? Or have I lost everything?

iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iDevice, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With the iPad connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purcahses From - the name of your iPad. Repeat the same for your iPod unless the iTunes content on each device that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store is identical.
For iTunes content that was not purchased from the iTunes store and for photos transferred from your computer, if you have a Mac you can use this 3rd party utility to transfer this content in the opposite direction.
    http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
Photos transferred from your computer to your iPad are optimized for viewing on your iPad as part of the iTunes transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced depending on the resolution of the photos on your computer. The resolution will be lost when transferring these photos in the opposite direction which is why this is not supported via the iTunes transfer process. Photos on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with your iTunes library and all other important data. An iDevice is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device.

  • IPhone and iPad sync session in iTunes won't begin

The most recent time I have attempted to sync my iPhone 4S and my iPad2 in iTunes on my Mac, the following happens.  iTunes recognizes the device, the little "turning arrow" appears and the sync window shows "Waiting to begin sync".  This persists for 15-20 seconds and then I get the message that sync was not completed because sync session did not begin. This is true for both Wi-Fi and USB attempts.   I have not had trouble previously with either device on my Mac.  What's the deal?
