IPhoto can't export error cant be found

Hi guys, i am disperate. I have buy iPhoto and i import all photos of a wedding on event, i create a slideshow and now is impossible for me to export
error message:
The operation can’t be completed because the item can’t be found.
someone help pleaseeee!!!!!

I have this problem:
I import to iphoto some pictures (check box "import to iphoto library" done)
I make a new slideshow
I export the slideshow
After 10 seconds is give me this error:
The operation can’t be completed because the item can’t be found.
I am stuck there, impossible for me to export a slideshow...

Hello,
I am using PPCS3 with Aspect HD.
I am using the Cineform HD 30p preset.
I keep getting an export error: writer not found
when I try to export a short movie using two uncompressed .avi's I obtained from 3DS Max 2009.
Any ideas what "Writer not found" means.

Have you installed anything CS4 at all? Even a public beta of Soundbooth or some other non-Premiere component?
I never did find out what I installed that trashed .wmv export for me in Pr CS3 on my old XP system. Maybe it was the beta of Sb or maybe it was the free stand-alone Microsoft Windows Media Encoder.
Anyway, a full uninstall and reinstall of CS3 will likely fix the problem, but I can't say for sure because I never got around to doing it. I used the MS Windows Media Encoder until I could load CS3 on my new system (dual-boot XP32 with Vista64).
EDIT: All is well with .wmv export on the new system. No CS4 on XP32 and no WME there, either.

Adobe media encoder export error "writer not found"

When trying to export to wmv using adobe media encoder I get an export error of "writer not found". I did a search and found others having the same issue with no fix as far as I can see. Just wondering if anyone has any more iformation on this. I'm using Vista Ultimate and Premiere CS3.

I registered the WMEncoderHelper.exe file with regserv, but I still get
the "writer not found error". I wish I knew what codec it is trying to find and use.

Iphoto froze on export error....

My internet dropped for a few minutes when I was exporting photos to my picasa web albums, Iphoto error as follows.
"This Google Account does not yet have Picasa Web Albums activated. Click “Activate This Account” and follow the instructions to start using Picasa Web Albums."
I tried to quit Iphoto but it did not work. All the menu options have been grayed out and I am neither able to quit nor restart the system. How do I quit Iphoto without corrupting any photos? I have lots of my baby pics and don't have a backup. Please help me quit iphoto without losing any of the photos....

Force quit iPhoto by using the Apple->Force Quick menu option. There's no guarantee that you won't damage the library but this is the only way, other than shutting down the computer, of getting out of iPhoto. You won't lose any of your image files by this. They are not affected by a library getting damaged as it's the database files that get hosed. These can be repaired or the library rebuilt if necessary.

IMovie 08 v 7.1.1 - Can't export - Error -108 - Help Please!

Please can anyone help?
I'm a new Mac user and have just imported and edited my first iMovie. I tried to export it (assuming I could then burn it to a DVD?) but never got that far.
I'm attempting to export it as a 'large movie' to Finder.
I get an error telling me it has been 'unable to prepare the movie for publishing due to an error (error code -108)'
Please has anyone got any ideas if I'm doing something wrong?

Looking up error -108, I got a lot of hits on goggle about memory errors returning error -108.
On this hunch, I simply rebooted my Mac Pro.
I opened iMovie 7.1.1, and exported the same file, no problem.
So it must be a memory leak or some sort of memory related issue. (I have 4 gigs of ram in my machine.

Iphoto slideshow export error

I am getting an error message "can not export, file can not be found" when I try to export a slideshow created in iPhoto. I can play the slideshow within iPhoto without issue.
How do I solve this issue?

There probably is a photo in your slideshow, where the original image file cannot be found.
To find this file, try if the photos can be exorted or you can use the command "File > Reveal in Finder > Original". If you get an error message, when you try that, replace that photo by a different one in your slideshow.
To fix the missing original(s), try, if rebuilding your iPhoto Library will help.

If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

USING DISCOVERER DESKTOP CAN'T EXPORT AND GET ERROR ORA-00000

we use a win 2000 server to export discoverer reports by command-line methods.In the past ,everything is ok. But from last week , we found some reports always keep in export phase and can't export anything, also with ora-00000 error.
there are 2 things should be mentioned:
1. in the past , these reports can export without any error
2. we can export the same reports normally on another server(but we don't want to change server for some reason)
I know Oracle suggest we update to discoverer 10g, but it can't tell me why another client can export normally
so where is the cause?

EBS version - 11.5.9

Presumably you have tried rebooting?
If you have windows updates set to automatic it is possible that one of the recently applied updates has done this.

Can't export in iPhoto 2.0.1

Help! I can't export my photos. I select them all, click on export and I get an error saying: "There is not enough disk space to complete that operation."
I have 56 GB free and it'll only do a few at a time.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Holy cow, I got the export to work -- I have no idea what I did or if this works for anyone, but retracing my steps....
-I deleted all photos that were in the trash both in iPhoto and in the Finder
-Just for the heck of it, I tried some of the other exporting options to see how they work. (I'm a relatively infrequent user of iPhoo, hence my still working with version 2.0.1) I exported a few photos to see how the quicktime slideshow works...then I exported for web viewing. Both worked fine. Then I exported the photos...fullsize images...original format...use filename...use extention....and it worked!
It was almost as if doing the other exports somehow fixed the issue in the finder where I kept getting the duplicate photo message which forced me to try the drag and drop method which also didn't work (see above posts).
One downside: The export does not preserve the original dates fo import from my camera....bummer....I really like the chronological way iPhoto lets me view my photos...without that, in my newly created "iPhoto export" folder I have to do lots of guessing as to when particular pictures were taken.
Again, *your mileage may vary* -- I have no idea what (if any) effect the above had for me. But maybe this will help someone...somewhere.

Reinstall it?

I've tried rebuilding the thumbnail database, but that hasn't helped.

What version of iPhoto and system are you running?
Try moving the Zoom slider at the bottom of the iPhoto window all the way to the left. Does that let more than one photo display in the window?

Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.

2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done. 3 - however, if you get the navigation window

that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 9 the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:

I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:

NOTE: If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds.

Before you can decide what to do, you have to know what you are starting with. Sony MPEG-1 files would be converted one way while DivX or WMV files would likely be handled in another. Extraneous tracks can be removed directly with QT Pro but if you don't have QT Pro then there may or may not be other work around possibilities depending on the specific audio and video compression formats in use. The best place to start would normally be to double-clic the source file in iPhoto to open it in the QT Player. When it opens in the QT Player, check the "Inspector" window to see what it says on the "Format:" lines. This will tell you the type of audio and video content you are dealing with here. Then come and tell us so we can offer some specific conversion solutions.
