IPhoto cannot start after installing Lion

iPhoto v 9.1.5 will not start after installing Lion
The app is installed on the main disk in the default location (vs. problems others are having after Lion install)
I can't find any updates for Lion or iphoto to fix this problem

Apache not starting after installing Lion

After installing Lion, my Apache local service doesn't start anymore.
in System Preferences > Sharing, the Web Sharing is not checked anymore.
If I (try to) check it, it try for half a second, and then is unchecked again.
No error message. I also reinstalled the last Xcode package, rebooted, nothing.

Commenting out that line simply disables mod_fastcgi (which might caus performance problems under a load).
In case you really need the mod_fastcgi to speed up apache2 you can easily compile and install it given you have the xcode development env installed.
(i've chosen the latest version which is a snap but still roughly 2 years old.)

this will install the apache mod_fastcgi.so into apples apache2 install and you should be able to continue with a fastcgi setup.
So far this has worked for me w/o any problem.

Lancom advanced client doesn't work/start after installing Lion

After installing the Lion update, Lancom advanced VPN client doesn't respond anymore. The icon jumps but no further reaction. This is not funny at all because I need this tool for my business..... What can i do?

Keep beeping, cannot start, after installing security update. Please help.

I just apply the security update today in my MacBook (aluminum), but then the laptop cannot start.
When starting, it beeps 3X, pauses, then beeps 3X, pauses, and so on - never stops.
I press the power button to stop, but when pressing the power button back on, this keeps happening.
Does somebody also have this kind of issue? What should I do?
Sorry if I may have repeated other reports, I just cannot find here. I googled a bit and somebody tells that beeping 3X relates to graphics device problem. What should I do with this?

Hi T,
Yes, that is the key we all are getting while the announced shows the key first presented in the update released as 2010-001, back in January. Nothing else reported besides the SHA1 diff.
I am sorry to tell you but this issue would hardly, if not ever, be related to the update. It seams to be the hardware fault in fact, test each memory in each slot, one at a time trying to boot the 4 times, 3 in the case, you are already up with this mem/slot combination.

10g listener cannot start after install 11g

Hi,
I install 11g R2 into one of 10g windows 2003 server, but I did not perform upgrade, I want the 11g coexists with 10g.
But after I install 11g and create a new 11g instance, I found that the listener cannot be started, until I change the environment variable ORACLE_HOME
of windows to 11g home directory.
But when I reboot my server, I found that the old 10g listener cannot be started,
the services cannot be started and if I try to start the listener in command "lsnrctl start", error TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error prompt.
So I changed the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to 10g home directory again and the listener can be started.
And when I want to start 11g listener, I will have to change again the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to 11g home directory.
Is this a normal behaviour to have 11g and 10g co-exists in one server?

Vincentonly 1 listener is needed on any DB Server & the listener should be for the highest version of Oracle DB Server

IPhoto wont start after Mountain Lion Upgrade

Hi,
If anyone has a good tip or solve please let me know.
My iPhoto is un-available since I ugraded to Mountain Lion and thus upgraded to 9.3.2
When I try opening it it will tell me that this Mac is noy the right mac to run this program on.
My OS is in Dutch so thats why the net picture shows that language
Basically it says that this type of mac doesnt support iPhoto.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

You're going to have to give us a lot more information if you are to get any help on this.
Version of Aperture to start with, did it ever work after the upgrade to Lion, hardware configuration, what version of the OS were you running before the upgrade, etc.
Any and all information plus a clear description of what you did ad what you have tried will all help getting you an answer.

I'm afraid that with hardware problems, such as you dsecribe, are difficult (if not impossible) to diagnose over the Internet. You're just going to have to break down and make the trip to your nearest Apple Store or AASP and have them diagnose your computer. I take it that you didn't purchase the extended AppleCare Protection Plan? Let's just hope it's not a logic board problem...

If it suggests that you install iPhoto again, install iPhoto again. In your Macs Box that it came in there should be 2 Discs, one is an Applications CD (You need this one) And another is the Mac OS X.
Insert your Applications CD and hold C while the computer is starting up, then you will be walked through the installation of Applications.

IWeb not showing iPhoto library after installing Lion

Since I have installed Lion, the iPhoto library that showed up on the right hand side of iWeb is not showing up.
