Try, if any of the fixes described here will help:

  • Recieved error '-2147467259 when trying to view all/any of my slide shows

How do I fix this error/problem. Unable to view or finish slide shows I have been working on.

Well, didn't work. I spent an hour and a half just trying to get my 76yr old uncle to back able to drag and drop into the correct folder, and then trying to find the file when he didn't....!
Anyway, it didn't work. After removing the Envelope Index file, and reimporting the messages, everything was the same. He could still see all his old emails in the list in Mail, but got the same error message when trying to view them.
Then, we rebuilt the inbox, and now none of his old messages are visible! However, they are still on the computer.
All his old emails are ".emlx" files and if we click directly on one of them, then Mail will launch and display the message properly in it's own window. But again, we get the above error message if we try to view it by selecting it from the message list in mail.
One interesting thing...in the Library->Mail folder their are two folders, "Mailboxes" and "Mailboxes.mbox". Both at the same level. It's the Mailboxes.mbox folder that has all his old emails. Although all the old ones have the suffix ".elmx". In the Mailboxes folder are all the new emails since we reset all the prefs in Mail after the crash a couple of days ago.
Anymore help please to get mail to recognize all these old emails?
    Thanks,
    David

  • Iphoto closes when trying to import to library.

I am using Version 9.4.2 - i  have been on various forums and they indicate deleting the file 3vix.  Have checked my HD for this and it does not appear to exist. I am using Lion 10.7.5 OS. I  have created additional Iphoto library's this has the same problem. In addition when I open Iphoto it always advises that there are inconsistencies in the library
I have checked permissions and carried out the 1st Aid check on Iphoto? Any suggestions please?  Thanks.

I'm having the very same issue with my Macbook Air. Same OS and iPhoto version - iPhoto version 9.4.2, OS 10.7.5.

  • Problem with adding music to a slide show

I am trying to add add'l music to a slide show in Elements 9.  The first songs added easily.  I am now getting a message that the "codec" is insufficient.  There does not seem to be any difference in the properties of the songs that are being rejected and the songs that loaded.  How do I correct this to add the MP3 songs?

Thanks for your response. In answer to your questions:
    1. What is PRE?
    2. mpeg is not a choice on my version of pse7. Only mp3, wav, wma and ac3.

  • When trying to add music to a slide show from my PC to TV through Apple Tv the photos are fine but I get an error message that says the music cannot be downloaded.

When trying to add music to a slide show from my PC to TV through Apple Tv the photos are fine but I get an error message that says the music cannot be downloaded.

Because the location for each song in your library is on your hard drive.  If the hard drive isn't there, how can iTunes play it?
You'll have to move/copy the music from your hard drive to your computer's hard drive.
Basically, EASIEST way to do all this, if you don't care about your play counts, etc...
-Delete EVERYTHING from iTunes, so that your library is now empty.
-Go to "Advanced" inside of the "Preferences" window, found in the "Edit" drop-down.  You can also access Preferences by pressing Ctrl+, (Press Ctrl and the comma key)
-Change your iTunes Media Folder Location to something simple, but on your computer. I use C:/iTunes.  Make sure "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to...." are both checked.  You can close Preferences now.
-Now, drag and drop your music from your hard drive into your iTunes library.  iTunes will automatically add the music to your library, as you would expect, and also creates a copy of each file to place into that iTunes Media Folder you just created.
    Shouldn't have any more problems...

    Or
iMHO the better solution is to set mail as your email client in the iPhoto preferences

Sounds like the PDF has an issue. You can try to save it, close, and reopen to see if that fixes it. If there are no tags or other markup, you could print it to a new PDF and try on the new file.

  • IPhoto closes when double clicking thumbnails or importing

Hi, iPhoto keeps closing every time I double-click a thumbnail in an album. It also closes when trying to import photos. By "close" I do not mean crash/unexpectedly closed; the window and application just disappears.
I looked into my CrashReport logs and no iPhoto file is there. However, the following screenshot is from Console after iPhoto closed.
I'm not sure if this is the culprit but I did use the application Monolingual a week ago. I can't remember if iPhoto worked after using Monolingual. I removed every language except English, removed every input menu except AppleKeyboardsLayouts, and I removed the ARM and PowerPc architectures (which were all highlighted by default). I can post Monolingual's log file if it can be of any help to you.
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

Thanks for your replies guys. First I don't know happened to the screenshot I posted but here it is again. I hope you guys were/are able to get anything from it.
When I first noticed the issue I backed up my iPhoto library. Next I upgraded to Snow Leopard since this computer was running Leopard. I also upgraded to iPhoto '09 since it was running an older version. Still no fix. I then uninstalled iphoto and its pref files with appzapper and then reinstalled iPhoto '09. Again no luck. I then created a new user account and the same thing happens- no fix.
@Terrance- I opened the app Monolingual and I see that the default languages selected include: Austrailia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and US English, which I deleted. The Language just "English" is not selected and was not deleted. Could this be it?
Thanks again. I will look into the links you provided, Madison and will be back to report with points.

No photos appear in the iphoto list when trying to upload a pic to facebook. I can "share" a photo on my own wall or add one to an album through iphoto directly. I cannot figure out how to post a pic to a friends wall.

Exactly how are you trying to do this and waht is the problem
The iPhoto facebook upload can only post to your account
If you are uploading using a browser your photos are accessed through the media browser in the lower left ahnd corner of the puload window under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto
Please describe what you are doing, what problem you are having and what version of iPhoto and of the OS you are using

Thank you - I followed the instructions attached to your response, and I deleted the artwork from the three songs that I want to use, however, when I drag them into Photoshop I am still getting the same error message.  I also don't see an option to convert the song to an MP3.  I tried going to File and Get Info, and there isn't an option.  I also tried right click on the song, but didn't see anything there either...?

I'm experiencing the same problem with both iPhoto & Aperture.
Aperture, iPhoto and iTunes versions are up-to-date as of April 13/13.
I've setup a new iTunes Library. Did not rectify the problem.
I've created a new iPhoto Library. Did not rectify the problem.
In Aperture, where the problem first appeared, I have deleted preferences, which did not correct the problem.
I then did a full rebuild of the database but the problem still exists.
    Somewhat baffled!

  • Lost my Iphoto 09 when trying to get my library moved from imac to MBP

    YIKES...How to begin???
I've lost my iphoto 09 when trying to copy my library from my iMac G5 to my mbp. When I did the migration using migration assistant the photos had not come over. So, I connected the imac to the mbp using a firewire cable, and tried the drag and drop it looked like it went over, but then when i disconnected the imac, there was nothing. Even the iPhoto icon disappeared. I tried reinstalling it with the Applications Install DVD which came with my MBP, but it doesn't have iphoto on it.
Am I going to have to buy a copy of iLife???
Does anyone have any idea what may have happened???

If iPhoto came on your computer it is on the restore disk that came with it - do a custom install of bundled software only - click here for MacWorld's article on installing Applications from your restore disks.

You should always backup your iPad before ever doing anything major that coould result in a catastrophic loss is something goes wrong. You can then usually restore from the backup when your iPad has recovered.
You should also be sure to have transfered any new purchases directly to your iPad to the iTunes app on your computer on a regular basis.
