IPhoto - date of creation

Why do my iPhotos lose their 'date of creation' when I label them in iPhoto then export them to a special folder for burning within my 'Photographs' folder ?
In the new folder, when I click file>get info, the 'Date created' and 'date modified' are always both given as the date on which the photos were modified.
I have tried various 'preferences' but cannot find one for preserving the original 'date of creation'.

Hello! I don't think you can as the "image" is new
since you exported it as a new copy of the original
image. Unless you can use the file name or album name
info to preserve the date you probably can't do what

Thanks for your very helpful reply. I have the month-date on all my folders which works as far as it goes. However I have found that I can still get the actual 'date of creation' if I re-import the image from the CD to the 'iPhoto' programme. This seems to be the case even when the originals are apparently not still in the computer....

Doubt in data element creation

Hi!
With the use of the built-in type, you have to set always in every different data element the exact type.
With the use of the domains (pre-defined types) you just have to enter the domain name into the data element. If you have to modify the type, you can maintain it in the domain (only once) but the built in types have to modifyed in every data element (which means more work).
Domains have a little more options also, than the built in types.

Actually, some formats do indeed have creation or modification dates built in. e.g. http://www.w3.org/TR/PNG-Chunks.html#C.tIME. (Of course since most programs save a new copy of the file every time, the two dates are the same.) However, just because formats have this data doesn't mean it's reliable or even present. Your best bet is to pass creation dates in an Applet param tag for applets (assuming you were referring to Applet.getImage()) or to parse out a filename from a classloader URL and use a File object to check (assuming you were instead referring to Toolkit.getImage(URL)). That's the best answer I have without knowing more about what you are trying to accomplish.

Data Source Creation in R/3

I need to extract the data from multiple tables from R/3. For that I am creating a datasource using RSO2. In this scenario do I need choose extraction from view ( IN rso2)& create a view combining these tables & use this in data source creation? Pls let me know the procedure. I am working on once Incident for Re-Scheduling Program V_V2 where the user has requested us to change the criteria for determining the priority of Sales Document based on Sort Item by date of creation. Currently they are using the Sort by delivery date of earliest schedule line in the Variant.
I would like to know the role these both options play in the Re-Scheduling program V_V2. I would like to know the impact of both of them and the kind of testing I need to perform to study the behaviour of Sales Orders especially when the material is out of stock?
Please explain with help of examples.

This is not that simple that an example would explain how this transaction works but I'll give you some examples.
Material A has SO1 and SO2 of 10KG each, stock is 20KG so both quantities are confirmed at today. A stock recount determines a reduction to 5KG. This program would change confirmed quantity of SO1 to 5KG and SO2 to 0KG if:
Creation date of SO1 is older then SO2 in strategy 1
1st delivery date of SO1 is smaller then SO2 in strategy 2
Material B has SO1 and SO2 with 10KG each but no quantity confirmed, stock is 0KG. A prodution adds 15KG to stock. The program would change confirmed quantities of SO1 to 10KG and SO2 to 5KG if:
Creation date of SO1 is older then SO2 in strategy 1
1st delivery date of SO1 is smaller then SO2 in strategy 2
I'm assuming a specific configuration, there are many other scenarios possible.

For that, i am trying to create MIC & giving class characteristic name in QS21, and then under control data, I am unable to select, Quantitative. By default system is selecting Qualitative. But I want to create that MIC as Quantitative.
Is there any setting for this?

This indicator gives information on how the DataSource behaves within a request with regard to duplicate records:
' ' The status of the DataSource is unknown.
'0' The DataSource does not deliver any duplicate records within a request, with reference to its key.
'1' The DataSource can deliver duplicate records within a request, with reference to its key. However, no duplicate records are delivered in a data package.
This indicator is particularly important for delta-capable attribute tables and text tables.
For the settings '0' and '1' you also have to define a key for the DataSource. This can be either in the DDIC using the maintenance for the corresponding field property of the extract structure fields, or (alternatively or additionally) in the metadata of the Datasource. A field in the DataSource also has the additional attribute ' DataSource Key Field', which transfersor corrects the DDIC property where necessary.
Use
For a key of time-independent master data or time-independent texts, DataSources can transfer several data records to BI in a request. If data records are transferred to the BI system more than once within a request, this can be the result of the application and you should not see it as an error. In a master data update, the BI system provides functions to handle duplicate data records. When data is loaded into another InfoProvider, the relevant handling must be coded manually, preferably in the end routine for the transformation.

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.
Assuming a Managed Library:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Date of creation problem after making Bridge create TIFs with PS Image Processor.

I went through about 100 files and did what I wanted in Camera RAW (started out with NEFs). Thereafter I had Bridge make TIFs of all the files in the folder using the PS Image Processor.
Now, looking at the TIF folder in Bridge, I find that about 80 of them has a wrong creation date (I checked the Preferences and I have asked for the date of creation - and not the date of modification). As I watch (several minutes) Bridge changes some of the dates to the ones known to me to be correct - but not all. If I close Bridge, restart Bridge and open the folder again the same happens, i.e. it starts all over. Even stranger is that the Windows Pathfinder have problems with the same files - i.e. does not show the date of creation at all.
The date of these 80 files are all the same - and they have been edited over several days!
I have done a lot of work on those files and would hate to start all over. I checked and of course the dates are the original in the RAW folder that I started out with.
I am sure that I do not have any bugs in my PC.
Can I remedy this i any way? I hate to have wrong dates on my files.
What can I have done to cause this? Can anyone help me? Thanking You in advance.

Yes, I have also purged the cache. More than once and again this morning. It does not change the result. Bridge still goes from the date January 13th 2013 to the correct date of creation when I look at the separate thumbnails - and back again when I scroll down the page and subsequently scroll up again!
Thus it seems that Bridge knows the date that the camera set but somehow this foolish January date keeps coming back.
All the folders with NEFs have correct dates - also the ones where I have imported the files from camera to pc in 2013! Only my TIFFs have this problem.
Rigth now I am having Norton 360 run a complete system scan. When that is done I will inactivate Norton (I know that I cannot have 2 antivirus softwares and firewalls run simultaneously on the PC) and instead run a complete scan with Lavasoft Adaware Pro. I have also used Norton Utilities and found no problems. Plus Malwarebytes Antimalware and Superantispyware. No problems.
If "date file created" is the date that the file was modified, it would not help me much. I often go back to a file and play with it again and if I have understood correctly, then this date would change again. I want to see the date of capture ("date created"). Also, by now the problem afflicts at least 1000 files. It would be impossible to do single file manual corrections of dates on so many files.
Update: While I have been writing this, an opened folder with only 36 files has changed the dates to the correct date of capture. I could also scroll up and down without the dates changíng in this small folder. But when I closed Bridge, restarted it and looked at the folder again Bridge again did need minutes to get all the dates rigth. Maybe I have a pc capacity problem instead of a software problem? But why on earth would this specific wrong date result from a too weak pc.?
Maybe I should just give up and reinstall PS?

I have the same problem; used Migration Assistant to transfer all my pix from PC to MacbookPro, however dates of pix were not transferred. Date created as the date of transfer. Cannot sort my pix according to date.

I am still getting the same error:

In my console, I have created a connection pool 'oraclePool' and 3 datasource
'jdbc.GangsterDB', 'jdbc.OrganizationDB' and
'jdbc.JobDB'. I have also specified the target server and there seems to be no
error. I have checked 'Monitor All Connection
Pools' and oraclePool is running. I still do not understand the problem that I
am getting and have no clue how to solve it.

Thanks John and Celvin. It works fine But when i create a sample application, it is failing while creating.
Saying Error while creating App Please check the logs.
However i am able to login to the application from HyperionPlanning/LogOn.jsp, But it didnt build properly.

Data source creation for service contract configuration

Hello all,
I have to create a data source for extraction of service contract configuration. I think this could work like data source creation for sales order creation, but I don't know waht to enter in transaction CTBW. Anyone here has done this previously? Any pointers and/or the strategy you've used will be useful.
