IPhoto emailing different pictures as the same picture?

Our iPhoto recently started emailing different pictures that we select as the same photo. Example- We individually select 5 different photos, select Share, and email them. When they come through on email, its the same picture 5 times. Its odd because the photos all have different file numbers in their title, which makes sense since its different pics we're selecting but getting the same ones in email.
Any idea whats causing this? I did just update to the latest version of iPhoto and didnt have this problem before. Perhaps a new bug in the latest version? I didnt see any other posts about this issue. I'm also using the latest version of Lion.
Thanks,
Jason

Seems to be isolated to the mail on my iPhone somehow.
Yep.
Its an issue with how iOS mail interprets the email templates used by iPhoto.
Let Apple know you are affected by this: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html
If you don't care about using iPhoto's templates: iPhoto > Preferences > General > Email photos using > and choose Mail  -- This will bypass the templates and iOS devices will see the images properly.
Cheers.

  • How come when I send a picture with iPhoto email it always send the same picture event when I choose a different picture until I log out from iPhoto

how come when I send a picture with iPhoto email it always send the same picture event when I choose a different picture until I log out from iPhoto

    Why? Because something is wrong.
    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • How Can I have 5 links in the same picture

    Good morning.
I would like to know, how I can create 5 or more links on 5 different positions in the same picture.

If your writing about html links I believe that is what slicing is all about. I have not done any.  I think what slicing does it cut a image into parts without seams these parts can be addressed using mouse over which may replace the part to highlight the area and if clicked on link to an other page.
Use Photoshop Help search on Slicing.

  • HT2498 If I use camera window to download my pictures to my computer, and then I copy and paste the pictures to iPhoto. Would I be ending up having the same pictures in two different files in my computer, and so wasting space in my hard drive?

I recently bought a canon camera. The instructions of the camara recommend to use the canon software (camara window) to download pictures to my computer.  I would like to have my pictures in i-photo because it syncs them to my ipad.
I want to download the pictures from my camera to camara window, and then drag and drop the pictures to i-photo. If I keep my pictures in both programs would I be wasting space in my computer hard drive by having the same pictures in two different files?

    Yes.
Ignore the Canon software. It gains you nothing and adds complexity. Just use iPhoto for the lot.

  • I need help sending pictures by email. I add picture a picture and send it but if I send a second picture in another email the same picture from the first email is sent instead of the second picture

I have been sending pictures to people while organizing my iPhoto. Usually it is one picture per email.  Unfortunately, it ends up that the same picture is ending up on each email instead of the picutures that I am picking out.  Usually the first picture that I send is the picture that is send in all the emails.  HELP!

Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does try the following:   make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
If the problem doesn't appear in the test library do the following with your original library: make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Can I print multiple copies of the same picture on iphoto 9.5

I used to be able to print multiple copies of the same picture on one page using iphoto. There was a customise button when you went through to print and it was there somewhere. I can't see it anymore - maybe since an upgrade. Can anyone see how to do this now?

It's gone. But as a work-around, duplicate your photo (⌘D) to create as many versions as you want copies and select all at once. Then use the "Custom" print layout and set the photo size you want.
After printing, trash the added versions.

  • Ability to process several raw files with the same content but with different exposure into the single picture

Can you add to the Lightroom an ability to process several raw files with the same content but with different exposure into the single picture?
Base raw files can be given with exposure bracketing during shooting, for example.
The goal - to get maximum details in darks and lights (if we use the "ligths recovery" or "fill lights" we lose the quality because raw file just have no all required information).
The similar (but not the same, only the idea) thing - is High Dynamic Range Photography in Adobe Photoshop
    Thank you

The plugin LR/Enfuse does this already. And of course Photomatix have a plugin available for Lightroom. This essentially amounts to pixel editing, which is beyond the range of Lightroom's metadata editing.

What is the resolution of the picture that you are trying to print?
Go to Image>resize>image size, read the resolution in px/in, then report back, please.
Also, are you in a position to try printing with another printer in an attempt to narrow this down?

  • Iphoto events all showing the same picture

All my events in iphoto are showing the same picture and I have to click on each one to see what is behind it so furstrating can anyone help me

This is a software issue. There's no wear and tear involved here, so the age of the computer doesn't come into it.
    Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
    Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate

  • Why RW2 & DNG versions of the same picture look much different?

    Dears!
RAW format for my camera is RW2. I used conversion of RW2 files into DNG to process it in Ps.
When previewing pictures  in IRFAN VIEW I noticed that RW2 and DNG versions of the same picture (before any processing) are quite different. RW2 one is much sharper and with better collors than DNG.
Does anybody know why it is like that and if its better to use an external soft to work on RW2 files directly instead of converting them into DNG to process in Ps Camera Raw? Thanks for help!

Hehehe…  You have an amusing misconception regarding the monitoring and/or moderation of these user to user forums, especially the DNG forum with its minimal traffic.
Posts can go unanswered here for months or forever.  Adobe does not monitor the forums.
You had not mentioned you saw the issue in Ps as well, you only referenced IrfanView, and that was what I  addressed.

  • Is there a way to be able to Edit pictures between different accounts on the same Mac?

Is there a way to be able to Edit pictures between different accounts on the same Mac?

What does 'edit pictures between different accounts' mean?
You can edit photos in each account. You can share the Library so the same library is available in all accounts. But I'm not sure what you're asking for.

  • When I open iPhoto every picture is the same!

Every time I open iPhoto every picture is the same. If I open a photo it is the photo I took. When I open faces, places or events every cover photo is the same. Is there a fix?

Close iPhoto for iOS then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • How to eliminate 2, 3, 4 copies of the same picture

    Hello,
Someone recovered one HD with problem and the files lost their names. The backups of my photos show several photos with different numbers identifying the same photos.
I thought that it would be nice to have a feature that would know that 2, 3, 4 pictures are the same, to give me the option to eliminate the copies, but there is none that I know. Another way was an option to sort the photos by size, where I could get the manual process to do the thing manually.
I am looking for an AppleScript to do this or another way.
I thought about take the photos to a folder and group them by size and check all the photos with the same size.
But that would make me duplicate the photos that I have and would consume more time. I would like to do the trick without leaving iPhoto.
    Any idea?

    Hello Terence,
Since I did not ask for a free solution, you answered my question, but I am a little paranoic about buying through the Internet.
I downloaded Duplicate Annihilator, read the pdf and felt uncomfortable to use it without paying for it. So I trashed it.
I still need a free way to do it. If I can not find it, I will bring the photos to Finder and sort them by size in icon view.
    But thanks anyway,
