IPhoto exports small number of photos to desktop or thunbdrive. I'm unable to transfer a 360-photo album to thumbdrive so I tried fixes listed in other iPhoto SC letters. I batch organized album files w/ seq. numbering. Works for small number files.

I tried what you suggested on photos that were not exported in my previous attempts. I found all orginal photo files within the folders that were associated with the specific days when the photos was taken. That iPhoto action seems to work. I had not previously tried that iPhoto command so learned something new.
Do you have any other ideas of what to try? Worse comes to worse, I could export 26 seperate folders of Exports from my iPhoto album on my hard drive and separately put them onto the thumb drive. But, as you know, we have to BEAT the Apple software and computer. I know that it becomes somewhat of an obsession.

Found the reason for the problem. I think there's a bug in Flex that causes this. One of my formItem had an id="owner" and maybe flex has used this "owner" id somewhere internally. I changed the name and now all the comboboxes are working fine. -

I don't work for Adobe but it seems to me you might be signing in to Acrobat with the wrong Adobe ID.
Check the Adobe ID you use in Acrobat.
Check this Adobe ID on Adobe's to make sure that it has an active subscription. -
I have purchased a new mac book pro and I'm trying to install CS6 from old mac. I have installed cs6 upgrade but, software is asking for cs4 number which is not being accepted.
I should add that it's an HP photosmart 4280.I found it online and it shows the Mac 0SX operating system.

Will numbers work for a inventory/payables/receivables?
I have a non technical friend who runs a small business. He needs to keep track of receivables and payables. He has only a dozen manufacturers and a small number of clients. He would need to be able to see what's on order, his payment to the manufacturer, promised delivery date. On the receivables side he would need the client, amount of deposit, amount owing, promised delivery. Then maybe a page that combines the raw numbers of receivables/payables so he can see where he's is at any time.
I originally wanted to do it in Bento because there's an iPhone version and this would be handy for him. Now I'm wondering if Numbers would be right then export to Bento just for the iPhone ability. I know that maybe doing something in Filemaker could be the best however no budget for buying that software. He has iWorks and could afford Bento. Unless someone know a stand alone program that would be great. I searched for something like that but they were all too complex for him.Numbers works with tables which can have results that are named and then referenced from other tables.
So I suggest you break each part down into a table, name key results and and add those results to formulas in other tables and tables that summarise the results of individual tables. Look at the budget template for an example and extend on it.
I am not the expert who should guide you on details however.
Download the Numbers09_UserGuide.pdf and *Formulas_ andFunctionsUserGuide.pdf* from under the Help menu. Read up on how it works, take a shot at doing what you want and come back with specific questions on what you can't work out.

Are you viewing attachments in Outlook Web App or Outlook desktop client? If you were using OWA when this issue happened, please have a look at this KB article and see if it applies:

upload it to a temp location, then all CFFile does is copy

DNG converter don't work for some RW2-files
Hi,
i found out, that there ist now direct support from CS4 to my new Lumix LX5. :-(
In some forums i got the hint to use the free DNG converter. that works for most of the files, but some rw2's it can't convert. yesterday i made 10 pictures and the converter only identificate 7 of them. The only thing i noticeed ist, that this files are "only" 7MB. The others are 10MB. When i use irfanview to look the rw2's are no problems. the pictures are all very good. somebody an idea whats wrong with the 3?

sorry for my english, but i hope you understand me!??I don't know anything at all about your file format, but it sounds as if there is an option to create compressed raw files. I know Canon has this option. It may be that somehow you used this compressed option, assuming that there is one, and it may be that the DNG converter does not support the compressed raw format. If not, maybe someone else will have a better answer.

Fast Forward & Rewind doesn't work for long audio files
I have loaded several mp3 files into the Pre via USB. Some are 2+ hours long, some are a few minutes. Fast forwarding thru the track doesn't work on the long files. Holding down the fast-forward arrows will cause the audio to stutter in the same place, sometimes go BACKWARDS instead of forwards, and eventually it will go silent. Pressing Pause, Play, whatever won't bring it back and ytou have to start the audio file over.

Book file & Dropbox: Multiple people working on same book file
I am trying to use the book file and have run into multiple issues. We have saved the book file and all relevant InDesign files on dropbox. There are two of us who work on the book file at the same time. We have the book file open together but work on different files from the book, never working on the same file at the same time.
A few of the issues we have run into are as follows:
1. The book file does not show the InDesign files the other person added, when opening on a different computer.
2. When saving the book file, from the panel, it will tell us someone else saved the file and if we want to overwrite their file.
3. When working on of the files from the book and I try to save the file (ctrl+s) I get error messages telling me the network connection was modified by another process. InDesign then has en error message it needs to shut down and start back up to recover documents. After it starts back up it can't recover document due to error(11).
Has anyone used the bookfile with a cloud service, while multiple people work on different files for the book? For example, we want one person to work on the files 1-5 and another on 6-10 for the book file at the same time.Only one person can work on a book file at the same time.
You cannot work this way on the files.
Person A adds a file to the book
Saves
Person B adds a file to the book
Saves
Persons B version overwrites Person A file.
Consider giving 1 person the duty of updating the Book File.
Only 1 person can work on a file at the same time - consider splitting files you're working on into folders
Folder>Person A
Folder>Person B
Add files that person should be working on.
Person in charge of updating the book file will update from both folders.
The way you're working will not work. -
"File / Add File To Library" Not Working For Particular File
I believe I chose to delete a podcast. iTunes asked if I wanted to totally delete the file, or to leave it in a 'media file'. I didn't know what this meant so I chose to just leave it in a 'media file'. As expected, the podcast could no longer be seen in the iTunes Library / podcasts.
Later I performed: "File / Add File To Library" of that same podcast (ie. an .mp3 file). The file does not seem to be anywhere in the Library. I'm wondering if it is not added because it thinks it is in some "media file" which cannot be seen within iTunes? No error message was given saying the file was already there; however, when i attempt to add other podcasts from the same directory on my computer, iTunes has no problem adding other podcasts.
I've changed the directory to a different location on my harddrive, as well as changed the name of the podcast all to no avail. And spent 4 hours with this and am ready to pull my hair out.
I think iTunes will not add this file because it thinks it is already there, although from no where in iTunes can i find it (ie. not under 'music', not under 'podcast', etc.).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!"Won't add to library and doesn't give an error message" is usually a sign of minor corruption in the MP3 file. Treat it with a 3rd party tag cleanup program such as MP3val, and then it should be able to be added to your iTunes library.

Two different file icons in different folders for my php files??

I try to move a copy of my running website to my localhost. (MAMP+MacBook Pro)
I have problems getting to my local domain. Therefore I tried to install a clean Prestashop installation to see if that worked, which seems to work neatly.
Comparing the two website files, I noticed something strange (for me, anyway):
In the working prestashop root folder, my PHP files have a nice, black icon associated with them
In the non accessible prestashop root folder, my PHP files have a boring white filesheet like icon.
I re-associated ALL the PHP files with a text editor, but still the difference remains...
What's the cause of this?? Does this have to do with permissions or so, causing my problems with entering this local shop ??

PascalYou can use Exportant's "Fast Cache" feature to save time when exporting the same file with different settings (a free plugin I wrote).
It's an export filter which saves a rendered copy of the file being exported in a cache, if not there already (or develop settings / metadata have changed), and pulls it from the cache when present (so Lr won't have to re-render), so it takes 1/2 the amount of time to export 2 copies, 1/3 the amount of time to export 3 copies etc.
Unfortunately, it's not compatible with all export/publish services, e.g. Export Manager & Turning Gate Publisher.
It *is* however compatible with a lot of them, like:
Adobe's Hard Drive export or publish service.
My TreeSyncPublisher (export or publish).
Jeffrey Friedl's Folder or Collection publishing service (publish only).
If you're interested in saving your time but not your computer's, then just use Export Manager (without export filters), or a publish service (well, one publish service for each format..) - Lr will re-render, but it's one click to go..

Another option for speedy exporting of jpegs is PreviewExporter, which exports from the Lr lib preview cache - not appropriate for obtaining printable tiffs.

I am on a Windows 7 Ultimate PC and right now there is no Airport utility for setting up the new Apple Extreme so you have to do it on your iPad or iPhone. Does anyone know how to set up port forwarding for HTTP to get to DVR security cameras? There is nothing in the list that indicates HTTP port forwarding.
Thanks for your reply Tesserax as I did figure this out on my own. It took a bit because all of the options are not clear what they are for like the previous Airport Extreme and Apple does not support or guarantee that port forwarding will work for you application nor did any of the Apple support persons I spoke too have any knowledge for this feature. You also have to fill in the public if you are viewing through someone else's Wi-Fi or on your cell phone carrier network. This new Airport Extreme is a bit different since you cannot use the Airport utility on a PC like the older model and if anyone else is reading this they should be aware that if you do not have an Apple computer, iPhone or iPad and I'm not sure if some of the other network enabled devices like iPod Touch that you must use that can do it, there is no Airport utility for the PC and you would be wasting your money or have to take it back and get another brand wireless router to use if you do not own any of the above mentioned Apple products.
