IPhoto freezes at "Send Your Order"

Has anyone else had this happen? What did you do to correct it?
Trying to order some pictures and each time when the process gets to the Send Your Order page, the beach ball spins a bit, but nothing happens on either progress bar. After a few hours, still nothing. The arrow is accesable. I can cause the Send Your Order title to scroll up and down but when I click cancel, nothing happens.
The first time I came across this, I had to force quit. This time I will do the same.
Thanks for your ideas as Apple wants to charge me $45.00 since my computer is not in warrenty, even though it is an iLife issue.

Booted into safe mode and nothing changed. Still stopped at the same place.
Worth a try...

  • Iphoto prints - issue sending an order

I'm trying to send in an order to make prints from iPhoto.  Able to log in with Apple ID, I successfully select the number of prints, but when I place the order, the Assembly step doesn't do anything.  It says "your order is being prepared and uploaded"...but nothing happens.  Fast internet conneciton, no issues accessing iTunes etc.

I've also just tried to boot in safe mode, and the trying to order. Nothing happened, it just kept assembling without moving at all.
Trying to figure out, how I can get my photos from my iMac to my Macbook, and then have a try from there.
This is really annoying, hope someone knows how to handle this problem.
Thanks for the suggestion with Safe Mode Old Toad though...

  • Upload freezes when trying to order an iPhoto book

I've seen that many people have had this problem. I'm trying to order a large (not XL) iPhoto book using my 2012 MacBook Pro. After I click "Buy Book" and enter payment information, the assembly goes well, but it freeezes halfway through the upload every time. I can and have made a pdf of the book following Apple's instructions, and everything worked just fine with that. In other forums, the suggestion is to reboot the computer in safe mode. Is this suggestion only for people who couldn't create a pdf of the book? How will this help with the upload?

ErinWyoming, I'm sharing your pain. I've ordered 3 calendars in the past with no problem. Even using this computer and the same network. Currently on a MacBook Air running OSX 10.8.5.
But this order is driving me nuts. I can create the PDF and it assembles with no problem, but gets to either one of 2 points in the upload and basically freezes iPhoto (so freezes quite early on in the upload, or around half way through). I can't cancel the order, or otherwise use iPhoto and the only way to escape is to Force Quit iPhoto.
I've tried ordering in safe mode, I've tried deleting the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file as instructed elsewhere. I've tried different Apple ID's and different addresses. I've adjusted my energy settings so that the display and computer never go to sleep and my hard disk won't go to sleep. I've tried uploading at different times of the day. I've left it running overnight (just in case I'm not being patient enough). Alas, no order goes through.
I'm not sure what else to try. I'm getting to the end of my tether!! Anyone else got some suggestions?! I'm thinking (God forbid), of constructing the calendar elsewhere at this point .... I'm OVER it!!!!

  • Is this beta? The image for Yosemite is a very big rock, appropriate as this OS sends your mac back to the stone-age. iTunes crashes on open, iPhoto won't download, movies won't play, Safari won't show graphics, wifi down to speed of crippled snail.

Is this beta. The image for Yosemite is a very big rock, appropriate as this OS sends your mac back to the stone-age. iTunes crashes on open, iPhoto won't update, Safari shows text without graphics, can't get Java 8 'cause Safari "can't find server". Wifi slower than a crippled snail. Does anyone know how to uninstall this rubbish?

  • I almost complete uploading a 32 page iPhoto book, on a number of occasions when I get an error message stating "An error occurred uploading your order" can anyone tell me why and provide a solution please?

I am having problems uploading a photo book from my MacBook Pro!!! I almost complete uploading this 32 page iPhoto book when I get an error message stating "An error occurred uploading your order" This error message has occurred for each of my four attemps to upload. I have carried out a Disk Utility-Verify hard drive check and swapped from wireless to ethernet and still no joy. Can anyone suggest why this might be occurring and provide a solution please?

Boot into Safe Mode and try again.

  • IPhoto freezes when ordering photo

As of today - 29 May 2012, iPhoto freezes when ordering photo prints with the message..
'There was a problem communicating with the Apple Online Store. Please try again.'
I had to 'Force quit' iPhoto to continue.
OK, so maybe the store is down but surely that should not affect the software on both of my computers?
    Andy Forrest

It's OK now - I see the store is open again - but it does seem odd that lack of store makes te application freeze solid!

  • Message: Your Web browser must accept cookies in order for you to send your data. Please adjust your browser settings to enable this site to store cookies.

    Hello! I have two questions.
    (1) I want to submit a question through www.tune-up.com but the website does not accept my inquiry.
I get the following message: "Your Web browser must accept cookies in order for you to send your data. Please adjust your browser settings to enable this site to store cookies and access this site again."
I checked my cookie settings, and it looks like I have the Firefox default settings (i.e. cookies are accepted). Tried to submit my inquiry again but it does not work. Please advise how to make sure I can submit inquiries etc.
    (2) I want to start using the Google search again but not sure how do change the settings. I do not want to have DuckDuck Go as my default. Would you please describe how to change back to Google? Also, is the problem I described above perhaps related to the DuckDuckGo search engine I use?
I look forward to your assistance which is greatly appreciated - Thank you!

On #1, you can check the site-specific cookie setting using the Permissions panel of the Page Info dialog. When you are on the page, you can open that dialog using either:
    * right-click the page > View Page Info > Permissions
    * click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > Permissions
Skim or scroll down to "Set Cookies" to make sure it is not set to Block.
If that is okay, some other random thoughts:
    * Are you using the site in a private browsing window?
    * Do you recall disabling DOM storage, which sites sometimes use instead of cookies to store large blobs of data (Firefox controls access to DOM storage using your cookie setting for the site)?
On #2, your default search engine should not have changed. To change it to Google, you can use the icon on the left end of the search bar (the classic small search box that appears on the toolbar). Please see: [[Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox]].
I don't think there is any connection between #2 and #1.

  • Problem-iPhoto freezes for 30 secs when sending photos by email

    _Reproduction steps_
    1. select 2 or more photos
    2. send these photos by email to someone
    _Expected behaviour_
As soon as I hit the Send button I should be able to continue using iPhoto immediately.
    _Actual behaviour_
As soon as I hit the Send button I have to wait 30 secs or more for iPhoto to complete sending the email. I don't like wasting time (Grrr!!)
Solution suggestion: iPhoto needs a fix so that it sends the email asynchronously.
PS Not sure where to post feature requests (or defect reports) for iPhoto, so hope this will get noticed. (Forum, please let me know if I should be posting this elsewhere...)
    Thanks!

It takes 13 seconds for me on my iMac. What's the configuration of your MBP? CPU, RAM, how much free space, etc.
You can report your experience to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html

  • Iphoto freezes when I try to open it.

Iphoto freezes when I try to open it.

Help us to help you: There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

I am trying to order a book with iphoto, I keep getting the same error message.
" A network error occurred while processing your order, please check your network connection and try again"
I get the billing part up, it has even uploaded my jpegs but at the final process, I get the same message.
I have ordered two books a few months ago without any problems.
Now I keep getting the same message either half way into
the order or at the final hurdle after the images have been uploaded.
    Any ideas?
My shared Network has been fine and that does'nt seem an issue.
    Help.

Try again in a couple of hours - sometimes it is a temp condition

  • Order Prints: A Problem With Your Order...

Does iPhoto store your order somewhere so you can order again?
After my wife spent hours cropping and ordering 290 pictures from the last year, we received an email saying we had A Problem With Your Order. We found a movie, AVI brand, that was included in the order and must have cause the problem.
It says to fix the problem, which we did, and resubmit. Does that mean we start the order process all over again?
    Thanks

When making a photo book, my iPhoto freezes during uploading the book to the storey.  I have attempted this 4 times now and I don't know what to do! I know the file size is massive due quantity of large image files, but I don't want to reduce the image file size and compromise quality in the book. How can I get past this?
    My macbook air is os x 10.9, using iPhoto 11 9.5 (902.7).

Try Old Toad's solution here:   See   Re: iphoto : upload impossible to print a book
Try to boot into Safe Mode and order this way, or sign into a different user account and try to order as a different user.
