IPhoto integration question.

When iPhoto is used to edit photos it will make a copy of the original picture and put it in the "Originals" sub-folder so the user can "undo" any changes by reverting to the original, which really means replacing the modified picture with the original picture.
Photoshop Elements can make changes to a picture and save it back into iPhoto, but what happens to the original picture? Does it put a copy of the original picture in the "Originals" like iPhoto does or do I have to do extra work when I want to backup my pictures?
Any word on Photoshop Elements 4.0 for the Mac?

Beth, I am guessing that "muhahahahahaha!" means PSE 4.0, at best, has not been officially terminated, and I should just go ahead and buy PSE 3.0 now and get PSE 4.0 when it is included with Duke Nukem Forever as a "value pack".
Tom, I was hoping iPhoto would keep the original.

  • Process Integrator question?

    Hi,
I'm not sure where to ask a Process Integrator question so I have
decided to ask here. I have been asked to look at business
process (workflow) automation. I have read the datasheet and your
whitepaper on Process Integrator and my question at the moment
is "How do we integrate Process Integrator with existing sets of
EJB's? How does it tie together with WebLogic 5.1 (is it a bunch
of EJB's deployed on top of the app server ala Commerce Server)?
I'm looking for more technical answers so that I have a reasonable
understanding in estimating how much work/effort it would take
to use this product. I also know that this is your engine for your
future Collaborate product, however, that product will not be
available soon enough to tackle our customers current needs.
Thanks for your patience in reading this long message and
I would appreciate any answers including "forget about it until
Collaborate goes to market!". I would like to give an honest
technical reason to my manager about why we should
consider (or not consider) using Process Integrator.
    Thanks again!

  • IPhoto/Aperture 1.5 Integration questions

Aperture 1.5 allows you to keep iPhoto pictures where they are with a "reference" from Aperture.
But since I upgraded to Aperture 1.5, I have the opposite problem -- how do I keep my pictures in Aperture but have iPhoto reference them? With previous versions of Aperture I already copied in all my iPhoto pictures and subsequently got rid of my iPhoto library (to save space).
However, I would like to use iPhoto for its better Slideshow capabilities and FrontRow integration.
    So here are some questions:
[1] Should I just set preference in iPhoto to not "Copy files to iPhoto Library Folder" and import the entire Aperture library?
[2] Will it copy the albums from Aperture intact?
[3] How much additional disk space (if any) will this use up?
[4] What is the signifcance of setting up previews in Aperture (which I have done)?
[5] In iPhoto I see that there is File>Show Aperture Library... where I can see thumbnails of my Aperture pictures. What else is this used for? (i.e. can I import pictures using this feature?)
[6] If, subsequent to import, I add to the Aperture libary, will that automatically synchronize with the iPhoto library, or do I have to iPhoto-import the entire Aperture library every time new photos are added to the Aperture library?
    iMac 17 1.25 GHz; iMac 20 Intel   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

[1] Should I just set preference in iPhoto to
not "Copy files to iPhoto Library Folder" and
    import the entire Aperture library?
[2] Will it copy the albums from Aperture intact?
This will work if your Aperture library's masters are stored by reference. However, it will only copy the masters, not an album structure. It won't copy your adjustments either. Just the masters.
[3] How much additional disk space (if any) will this
    use up?
iPhoto will build JPEGs for each master image, so you will use some disk space.
[4] What is the signifcance of setting up previews in
    Aperture (which I have done)?
Previews will allow you to browse your Aperture library in iPhoto. You can decide what images are made available to iPhoto. These are the versions, not the masters, so adjustments made in Aperture will be seen by iPhoto (as opposed to importing the masters).
[5] In iPhoto I see that there is File>Show Aperture
Library... where I can see thumbnails of my Aperture
pictures. What else is this used for? (i.e. can I
    import pictures using this feature?)
You can drag images from that window into iPhoto, which will import the JPEG previews so you can use them in slideshows, etc.
[6] If, subsequent to import, I add to the Aperture
libary, will that automatically synchronize with the
iPhoto library, or do I have to iPhoto-import the
entire Aperture library every time new photos are
    added to the Aperture library?
There isn't any automatic synchronization, but I think the following is a good approach:
    1) When importing your masters into Aperture, don't have Aperture copy them from the CF card into the library. Instead give it a folder to copy them to. In addition, specify a sub folder that is "Project Name". By doing that, your import will be separate from other imports.
    2) Make sure iPhoto is set to reference images not copy them into the library.
    3) Then, when you want to synchronize with iPhoto, just drag the directories containing the projects that you want synchronized directly to iPhoto.

  • Camera RAW and iPhoto integration

    >I want to edit a JPG or TIF image in iPhoto in ACR, but I seem to be unable to do that.
    >The panel with the pop-up menu to set Camera RAW when opening a JPG or TIF file from an ordinary Finder Folder I appears to be completely bypassed, when when coming from iPhoto.
    >Is there a setting somewhere that would force the JPG or TIF images to ACR (instead of PSE 6 proper) when I click Edit in iPhoto?
    >Does anyone have a solution?
I need this for teaching purposes.
    I run Leopard v10.5.6; iPhoto '08; PSE 6 (Mac) with ACR 5.2.
By the way, I also run CS4 and I can do the above with CS4 easily, by setting the preferences in
    CS4.
    >iBobK

    >But, why on Earth would iPhoto be remotely involved? Personally I don't even know anybody >who uses iPhoto, and, yes, I'm a Mac user.
I use iPhoto for my >25,000 photo library/organization as well as sharing photo libraries with others on my home network. I use it just about every day. It is also my "gateway" to Photoshop CS3. I find a photo I want to edit/add to a collage/etc. and use iPhoto to launch Photoshop CS3. In addition, its seamless integration with the other iLife tools is perfect for what I need. I even use it with Apple's Aperture.
    >There's no "integration" of iPhoto with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
Not sure which version you're using, but iPhoto 8 works just fine with both Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements 6. For the most part that is how I start either app. In fact, with your instructions above, I am now able to open JPGs with Adobe Camera Raw. I only start Photoshop or Photoshop Elements if I am starting something from scratch.
    >All those applications or utilities you mention in #7 have nothing to do with Photoshop or its functions. They are irrelevant in this context.
Actually #7, it is very relevant. That is what I mean by seamless integration with the other iLife tools. The only ones listed in #7 that I haven't used is iTunes and Garage Band. All of the others I have used.
    Hope this answers/addresses your question/comments.

  • OAM SSO integration question:How can I get a user identity from ObSSOCookie

We are building an OAM SSO solution. The App server is both on OAS and WLS. My question is that, after I get the ObSSOCookie from httprequest.
I need to verify whether the ObSSOCookie is a valid one, and I also need to get user identity from the cookie and pass it to login module to populate user principal
Of course, one way of doing that is to install access manager SDK and go from there. But we support multiple OS, it's a pain to add Access manager SDK to different installer for different OS.
I am trying to use IdentityXML Functions which is a SOAP based webservice so that I don't need to worry about the OS platform. But I can't find a webService which returns user identity based on a valid ObSSOCookie. It seems that I can invoke webService with valide ObSSOCookie, but there is no way to get the user identity back. Am I missing something?
Hope someone can help me out.
    Thanks.
    -Wei

Ok. Sounds like you are a vendor trying to play well in an SSO environment.
Here is what I tell OAM customers when they are evaluating software to see if it will cooperate with a system like OAM.
Can the software's native authentication scheme be explicitly turned off (usually a configuration in a file)?
Can the software be configured to accept a token of identity in the form of a Cookie or HeaderVar (also configurable in a file)?
If the answer to both is yes, then the system is capable of 'third party trust' for authentication.
From your perspective, your logic for login should be something like:
Is my native authN turned off?
If yes, can I find the cookie or header that I should be looking for?
If yes, take the value and proceed to create user session for this identity per usual (except that you never evaluated the authN - you trust that it was done).
If no, present the native AuthN scheme anyway.
If you follow this pattern, you are in the good company of folks like PeopleSoft and Plumtree who had these types of integrations working long ago.
Yes, there are other ways to do this but, in my humble opinion, this remains the most stable and effective pattern we see.
What you ask for as the identity token value is up to you. It is often the login ID value that you would have used in your own authN procedure. There's nothing particularly sensitive about having a webgate set headers - they are only available to the server and not to the client. Cookie of course could be seen but can't be spoofed as the webgate has the final word on it's content.

  • IPhoto integration in Pages 2.0 ?

The basic premise of iLife has always been integration of all its parts. However, I am disappointed to see that, from what I can tell, there is no direct integration of iPhoto into Pages. The Insert command simply brings up a file browser window that does not get to iPhoto. The Media browser does not browse iPhotos individual pictures; it only displays the albums I 've created within iPhoto and does not let me do anything with them.
This appears to be a big weakness in Pages v.2. Does anyone know if Apple has fixed this in the new iLife 08 with Pages 3.0?

You could navigate to your iPhoto pictures through Insert > Choose…, but they are buried deep in your Pictures > iPhoto Library > (& a few layers more).
However, the media window works the same in all versions of Pages. If you're not seeing the individual pictures in an album, you may need to click on that little dot (above photo yard 10 in my picture) & drag it up until you see the photos. You can then click & drag the photo into your Pages document, just as I am doing in the picture.

  • ECC 5.0 and CRM 7.0 Integration Questions

    Hello,
We are on ECC 5.0 and are part of a global implementation that is putting in CRM 7.0.
We have a couple of issues/questions.
    1.  We want to integrate ECC Internal Orders with CRM Contracts and Orders.  However we don't see the ECC Internal Order type SAPS in ECC 5.0.  What release/plugin would give us SAPS Internal order type
    2.  We currently use CS and PM in ECC, and we have equipment and func. locations.  Do we need to be on a certain version/plugin to integrate Equipment and Func. Locations with CRM iBase?
    3.  Any tips/suggestions on integrating Vertex with CRM for taxes.
    Thanks
    chris

    Hi
    Here are the Answers
    1. We want to integrate ECC Internal Orders with CRM Contracts and Orders. However we don't see the ECC Internal Order type SAPS in ECC 5.0. What release/plugin would give us SAPS Internal order type
    - This is release indepedant- It is been available from R/3 4.7 so you should have it, if you dont have an SAPS order type, you have 2 options
              1. Create your own SAPS Order type
              2. Define RFC from  Client "000" and push the order type. This must be available in "000" as a standard delivery, may be your Basis did not move the order types properly.
    2. We currently use CS and PM in ECC, and we have equipment and func. locations. Do we need to be on a certain version/plugin to integrate Equipment and Func. Locations with CRM iBase?
Yes you can have the equipment and Functional Locations, but for FLocs to download to CRM you need ECC6.0 with Sp6 anything below cannot be integrated or downloaded with CRM7.0 .. for Equipments any versions are fine and you do all configuration and customization in CRM
    3. Any tips/suggestions on integrating Vertex with CRM for taxes.
Its a broad question, SAP provides standard integration option to vertex, and you integrate as needed..
let me know if you need anything else.

  • Iphoto slideshow questions

I am running iphoto 9.5.1 with OSX 10.9.3 I am making a slideshow that I will eventually export to an external HD. When I make a title for the first picture it does not save for some reason...I have to constantly redue it. Why?
I don't see an option to save the slideshow and it seems to be auto-saving which is great, but that first picture's title won't save.
Last question...when I have completed the slideshow can I just drag and drop it into my external HD?
    thanks

, but it only works on my computer!
Where do you want to play it?  If you want to create a video DVD that will play on TV sets with DVD players you need to use a video DVD authoring applicaiton like iDVD. Here's how:
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar.  For iPhoto 9.4.3 and earlier select Size = Medium or Large. For iPhoto 9.5 and later selct 480p.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The following is important only if you don't already have iDVD on your Mac:
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com.  Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides  themes from iDVD 5-7.  The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:
This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:
You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.

  • IPhoto '11 Questions / Issues

I upgraded to iPhoto '11 as soon as it became available. As I have been working with it and trying to update all of my old photos with titles, descriptions, locations, etc, I have found a few things that either are bugs with iPhoto, or I just haven't figured out how to do them yet.
First, when setting a location on a photo, the only way I have found to do it is to go into the info screen, then use the small map in the corner to place the marker. Is there a way to get a full-sized map when locating photos?
Second, I have been having some issues with Faces. When I am looking in the info screen for a picture, some pictures show that I have xx number of unnamed faces, where xx could be any number. However, when I look at the picture, I can't find any spot in the photo where there is the box around a section of the photo with the "unnamed" label below it. Why is it showing that I have unnamed faces if there are no markers on the photo?
Also with Faces, I have tried using the feature where I can look at and name 5 pictures at a time. I have 2 questions with regards to this feature. First, is it possible, especially while in full-screen mode to look at more than 5 faces at a time, and second, why does it keep having me rename the same photos over and over again that are all from the same photo?
And finally, another Faces issue, after I mark some Faces through the feature where I name multiple faces at once, I have looked at some photos and it shows a person's name, but it will have the box around a completely different person? Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Regarding the locations see my post HERE.
Can't help you with faces as I don't use that feature.
    Happy Holidays

  • IPhoto file questions

Hello! I am new to Macs. Having recently switched from a PC to a Mac, I am a little confused by the file management.
Every time I import photos using iPhoto, where are the files saved?
If I want to copy, email, or open photos using any non-Apple software (say, my email in Safari), how do I find the uploaded photos?
I apologize if these questions have been asked before, and I thank you for your reply.

. To access them, control-click it in the Finder and choose Show Package Contents. Don't change anything inside.
This is not a supported way to access the files.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
*For users of 10.4 and later* ...
Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and later:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Aperture vs iPhoto library questions

Hello, I am brand new to Aperture from iPhoto.  I am moving to Aperture to take advantage of the organization options because I am starting to run out of HD space with my 100 GB iPhoto library.  I want to have the option in the near future to switch to referenced masters on an external drive.  So my question has to do with the unified library between iPhoto and Aperture.  When I upgraded to Aperture, I had to first update iPhoto to the new library format.  I then opened my iPhoto library in Aperture.  Everything I've read about the unified format has explained that it is compatible with both applications.  But I've also read that iPhoto does not work with referenced masters.  So, can I use Aperture to convert my iPhoto library to Referenced masters?  Or do I need to transfer my photos into a native Aperture library first?  And then once I switch to referenced masters, will iPhoto still work with my new library?
    Thank you,
    Ray

But I've also read that iPhoto does not work with referenced masters.
And then once I switch to referenced masters, will iPhoto still work with my new library?
    Ray,
iPhoto can use referenced original master image file, it works well in iPhoto '11. Only, iPhoto has no built-in tools to repair broken references, if referenced files get accidentally moved or changed, so it is not recommended to do this in iPhoto. But since you now want to use Aperture, that will not be a problem. You will be able to repair broken references using Aperture. iPhoto will work well with a referenced Aperture library. I am using it all the time.
So, can I use Aperture to convert my iPhoto library to Referenced masters?  Or do I need to transfer my photos into a native Aperture library first?
    Yes, that is simple.
Upgrade your iPhoto Library by opening it in the latest iPhoto version, and then use the command "File > Open Library in Aperture".  Now Aperture will work with your iPhoto library as an Aperture library. Events will show as Projects in Aperture, albums will still be albums. All keywords and ratings, Faces and Places  will transfer.
To switch to referenced masters/originals select the images you want to relocate and use the command "File > Relocate originals".
You may want to read this page of the manual:
Aperture 3 User Manual: Working with Referenced Images
But make a full backup of your libraries before you start to reorganize them and relocate files.

  • A few basic iPhoto 11 questions

I just updated my iMac from Tiger (I know...) to Mavericks and it's great, but there's a few things in iPhoto that are way different from my old version- wondering if I can re-apply these.
    1) I used to be able to label photos by hovering over the photo and a dialogue box would appear, then once I titled it the title would stay under the photo. I can title photos now by going to info and titling it but when I'm in album view I can't see the titles whereas I used to.  I looked in preferences and everything but can't change it, is there a way to do this?
    2) This one is basic and stupid- in my old version just 1 click would enlarge the photo from album view vs highlighting it and needing to double click to enlarge.  Any way to revert this back to the old way?
I know these are really stupid questions but it's just conveniences I got used to that would be nice to have back.

    1. View Menu -> Select 'Titles'
    2. Tap the Space Bar.

  • Integration questions, Notes/Domino/Symphony, Intentia Movex, Oracle Formula

    All,
A potential Portal customer wants to integrate several systems
into Portal, to show content and enter data. The systems in
question are Notes/Domino/Symphony, Intentia Movex, Oracle
    Formula (and some others).
So far, I know about the Notes portlet in the PDK. I also see
that it is possible to access Domino via Java API's or HTTP, and
IBM's "Lotus Enterprise Integrator" and "Lotus Connector for
Oracle" could be used on the IBM side. On the Oracle side, I
know about 9iAS interconnect, which could be used as the basis
for the integration projects in question.
Any hints? Reusable solutions for the listed systems?
    Thanks,

  • Data Integrator Questions

    Hello,
I was hoping for some guidence on how i can access sap data without using a BW system. The Data Integrator and RapidMarts seemed to be the main option. Just wondered if this was a suitable appraoch for my scenario.
Im the UK, our clients sap infrastructure is based in Germany. We do all our development on that system and it holds all our custom tables which i need to report from.
I initially installed the SAP Integration Tools for Crystal. I can build a report and dircetly see Tables and Function Modules, but the speed is really bad and prone to crashing.
My new plan is to install Data Integrator on our Network. Then use that to pull all the tables and data we need into a RapidMart on our network. Then i can use our BO XI 3.1 edge installation to host all the reports / dashboards built off the mart.
Is this a reasonable approach, am i missing anything or is this all theoretically possible??
    Any advice is great appreciated.
    Carston.

    One at the time....
A RapidMart is nothing else than a jump-start. Imagine this: I have been asked to build a Data Warehouse for Cost Center Accounting. So I have asked:
"What kind of reports?" "Costs per CostCenter, CostElement, Period".
"Where does the data come from?" "This and that SAP table"
"How can I implement the delta logic" "Using this approach...."
"Are you fine with this Data Model to support your reports?"
"Are you okay with the Naming Conventions I invented?"
At the end I had a very good working Data Warehouse project for my customer. Then I got another Customer engagement where I again had to build a Cost Center Accounting Data Warehouse. Same questions, very similar answers. But instead of developing the data model, the ETL flow,.... all from scratch, I would have reused the previous code.
In other words, a Rapid Mart is us running through a very professional Data Warehouse project with a couple of customers simultaniously and then we provide the code to you. So you are trading investment costs against Consulting costs and time and uncertainty. You might not like the Data Model, feel free to modify it. You need more, its just a first version of your Data Warehouse. You can't use 90% of wha we did - don't by the RapidMart but take your time to implement the Data Warehouse yourself.

I want to use iPhoto organise and import photos, but use PS Elements 8 to edit them (and have set this up as an external editor from iPhoto). Given this, is my best bet to copy photos into the library, rather than use a referenced library (if I've got the terminology right)?
_Folders of pictures - do I still need them?_
When previously importing photos from a camera to PSE6 (PC), I stored each 'event' in a different folder. These folders were transferred to my Mac and put in the 'Pictures' folder in the Finder. When I import them into iPhoto, it looks like the 'iPhoto library' file has made copies of the photos and arranged them in its own event-based folder structure, in the 'Originals' folder (I've checked the 'Copy Items Into iPhoto Library' option mentioned above). Given that this has happened, do I still need to keep the folders for any reason other than as back-up? I get the impression that when I next import new photos, they'll go straight into that iPhoto library, rather than sitting in a file folder next to it - is this right? Is absolutely everything I need in that iPhoto library file?
_If I want to leave iPhoto..._
As above, my photo collection is currently arranged in folders. If I switch to iPhoto, won't each of my albums/events be split across 'Originals' and 'Modified'? Won't this make it very difficult to re-create a tidy photo collection in a different piece of software at some point in the future? Is this a decent enough reason to not use iPhoto?
    _And lastly, Adobe Bridge_
Which came with PSE8. Is there much use for this if I'm using iPhoto+PSE8? Just checking I'm not missing a trick.
    Thanks in advance!

The following may be of interest to you:
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 6 the Saving File preferences should be configured: "On First Save: Save Over Current File". Also I suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.
NOTE: If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds.
