IPhoto is gone gone from my computer?
I changed my harddrive and updated my computer, and now iPhoto is gone! I still have the library, but can't access it since the whole program is gone. When I try to download iPhoto it just takes me to the Appstore where I have to pay a lot of money. Can I use something else to access my photos, or is there an older version that is free? Please help!
If you previously owned iPhoto '11, sign into the AppStore with the AppleID you used to buy iPhoto and look at the Purchased Tab. You may find iPhoto waiting there ready for download.
If iPhoto came not preinstalled on a Mac with LIon or later, but with an earlier system, look for your system installation media. The bundled application CD, that came with MacOS X 10.6.x will probably contain an iPhoto installer.
But if your previuos version was not iPhoto '11, you'll have to buy the new iPhoto version, to be compatible with Mavericks.

After connecting my iphone to my Macbook Pro to download photos to my phone yesterday, my Pages application is gone from my computer. The icon is still in the dock. What happened and how do I get it back? Its not in my trash or anywhere else.
The other 2 applications open like normal. All three give me info.
Pages ver.4.1 265.8MB
Numbers ver. 2.1 89.5MB
Keynote ver. 5.1.1 238.1MB
They all list Apr 3 as the last time opened. That was when I upgraded to Mavericks. I certainly used pages and numbers since then as I have alot of my work files on this computer?
Just very odd. I did find my original iWorks disc from when I bought the computer. I'm assuming i can reinstall it. Will try that. Thank you for all your help. Would still like to know what did happen?

I just updated lightroom 5 and now it is completely gone from my computer!!! What the hell is going on and why can't I speak to someone at adobe.....ever???
You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
1. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2. Adobe ID, and signing-in
3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the area marked chat 24/7, then click “start chat ”
It’s usually possible to start a live chat, if an Adobe agent is free, and often to get the problem fixed right away. Have your serial number available. The agent can directly troubleshoot your system if you agree to activate the Adobe Connect add-on.

HT204053 my apple store is gone from my computer how do I retreive it
my apple store is gone from my computer how do I retreive it
Is the App Store app just missing from the Dock or is it also missing from the Apps folder. If just from the Dock, drag it from the Apps folder onto the Dock. If it is missing from the Apps folder, then you will need to use OS X Recovery to reinstall the OS.

Idvd gone from my computer?
I have a 2007 Mac, and upgraded to Ilife 08' at the beginning of last year. Now I go to open Idvd, and it is gone from my dock and even when I search for the program it is no where to be found. Under applications, the only thing that it says is "idvd getting started" which is a pdf not a program. There are still folders on my computer that have the themes in it, but it just seems as the program is gone. What can I do? I tried to do an update but it won't work because it can't find the original program. Help me please.
Thanks!!Perform a custom install of it from the iLife 08 disk. If it's grayed out, use Pacifist to extract it or temporarily move the items related to it in the /Library/Receipts/ folder to the desktop.

IPhoto has gones from crashing to just being ... blank
I have a late 2009 iMac, Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.6.8
My iPhoto 8 stopped working when I plugged in my iphone/ipad. The familiar message came up about the problem report. I upgraded to the lastest iPhoto (9.2.1 from the App shop - will have to look into whether the TOS allow me to downlod it a second time if I delete it) thinking that would solve the problem. Problem persisted. Before mucking about too much I tried using iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild the library; it could not work and showed me the same problem report message from iPhoto. I copied my 50 gb iPhoto Library onto an external drive so that if I reinstalled I would not lose the photos. The original iPhoto library is still in place. I wanted to open iPhoto so I could more fully examine the problem report log and copy the first 50 lines of code. For a while I couldn't even get the Problem report when opening iPhoto, just a blank white box with a blue "choose" button in the bottom right corner. The menu bar at the top of the screen is available but almost all choices are greyed out. After trying various things I have gotten the problem report back (copied below). I have tried the obvious choices of rebooting the machine, deleting the plist file and looking for 3ivx (not installed). I am now a bit hesitant to do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List. -
My entire iPhoto Library is gone, inaccessible, doesn't show up in finder. I tried to restore my last Time Machine back up but it says that I don't have enough space on my startup disk. In order to create space I deleted everything nonessential and moved all of my essential folders such as documents, photos, videos, everything, etc. to my external drive, then deleted them from my hard drive. I emptied the trash to make sure that everything was wiped. I tried to do the Time Machine back up of my iPhoto Library again and is still says I don't have enough space. I looked at my storage under About this Mac, and it says that 120.35 GB of my current computer storage are photos, however, I don't have ANY photos on my hard drive at all. I don't know what to do because I can't delete applications and there is literally nothing else I can delete from my computer, so I don't understand how 135 GBs of storage is being used up.
Any ideas? Could there be somewhere my photos are hiding? I just don't understand how this makes any sense, or why my library got deleted in the first place for that matter.Search for your photos in Spotlight.

The icon which is on my main computer screen for firefox has gone.
The only way I can upload firefox now is to go to all programme, and double click the firefox programme.
How do I get the icon back onto the main screen so that all I have to do is double click the icon and firefox uploads?
Alsi I must not lose all my bookmarks.go into the start menu > all programs & right click the firefox icon. in the context menu select "send to" and then "desktop (create a shortcut)" (not sure if those are the exact terms since i use a non-english os)

I'm wondering how I can update my iPhone after having updated my computer to Lion. Suddenly, I can't get proper software updates to my phone. It didn't help matters that I changed my email shortly thereafter, and one of these issues is making me somewhat unrecognizable to Apple, or my phone to my computer. Something's wrong. When I went to Apple for help, they asked me to put my Serial # in, and then it told me that there was a problem with that, too! ***? Anyone have this problem?

160G iPod, iTunes gone from old computer, New LapTop???
Where do I go from here. The old computer is not an option. I want to download the newest version of iTunes into my new laptop, but have a couple of concerns with the idea.
1. Will it be too much for my laptop?
2. If I successfully download iTunes & then hook up my iPod to it, is there the chance that what I have on my iPod could be wiped out?You should probably post your questions in the iTunes forums:

Isync is just GONE from my computer
tried to sync my new phone with computer. isync icon had changed in my apps folder to a paper icon instead of the metal circle thing. so i did a spotlight check and got rid of all traces of isync (i think). how do i get the latest version? do i have to reinstall my tiger software that came with the computer?
Generally, 'Spotlighting' and removing what you believe are all traces of iSync is not a good idea. It's far too easy to strip other Sync Services framework components out by doing that, requiring a complete reinstallation of Mac OS X.
This is a multi-step process. You need to…
• first, use Pacifist to extract and install iSync 2 from your original Mac OS X 10.4 Install or Upgrade DVD
Pacifist is available here: http://www.charlessoft.com
• next, apply the Mac OS X 10.4.3 Combo update package—or later, whichever exactly matches your current OS configuration—to upgrade to iSync 2.1.1
If you have a Mac OS X 10.4.3 [or later] Install or Upgrade DVD you can use Pacifist to extract and install iSync 2.1.1 in a single step, but most users do not have such a DVD, and must use their original Tiger installation DVD.

Now that 10.4.6 is out, let's review the upgrade steps
