Iphoto is not allowing to cut and paste when under photos.

I went to use Iphoto and it is not allowing me to copy or cut photos from one section of the photo library to another. If I cut them, the paste button does not light up. I tried using copy and the same thing. Photos appear to copy, but it does not allow me to paste them.

Because pasting would change the sorting if you paste out of sequence. The Library (and that's Events and Photos view) is sorted automatically, and manual sorting is not available there.
Make Albums and you can drag the images to any order you want.

You know that you lost the layers when you saved it as a jpeg, right? But you're saying you can't add layers to the jpeg now when it's open in the editor? Go to Image>mode and be sure it's RGB, for starters. Are all the commands in the Layer menu grayed out?

RAR5.3 not able to cut and paste list of users to Multiple Selection screen

CC V4.0 on ABAP system has a feature where you can cut and paste a list of many users from the clipboard to Single Values column in the Multiple Selection screen, so you can run SOD Analysis Report for all those users. The Multiply Selection screen is a standard SAP supplied pop up screen.
With RAR 5.3 the Multiply Selection screen design is different. There is no longer feature to cut and paste from clipboard. We have to input each user one at a time. So if you have many users (20, 30, etc.) it is a time consuming task. It is not acceptable to our business power users.
We can import the list of users to a Custom User Group (in the Configuration Tab). First of all, there is no mass delete on Custom User Group. You have to delete each user one at a time which is time consuming. The alternative is to create a new Custom User Group each time, then it becomes a maintenance nightmare. Secondly, it is in the Configuration Tab which is only available to Administrators (fear of users changing configuation data), so the Administrator (or whomever has access to the Configuration Tab) has to maintain the Custom User Groups which is a lot of work for him or her or them.
We talk to SAP every week. But they are looking at this as a long time project. Does any one of you (or your company) has the same requirements? How do you get around it? Did you setup some other procedures so users can cut and paste the users list and run the Risk Analysis report themselves?

This is probably a JVM issue. Are you using JInitiator or the IE native JVM?
I suggest you turn on the JVM console, set the trace level to maximum, and then watch what happens when you attempt the copy.
Also, check the key mapping (usually ctrl-k) that the forms applet is implementing. Perhaps ctrl-c means something else...

A likely cause is the website email uses a rich text editor, in which case you should be able to enable copy/paste by following the instructions in this article - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Granting_JavaScript_access_to_the_clipboard

Italics and boldface not preserved in cut-and-paste from InDesign CS3

This is using Mac InDesign CS3 5.0.1 and Mac Dreamweaver CS3
9.0.
When cuting-and-pasting text from InDesign CS3 to Dreamweaver
CS3, basic text formatting such as italics and boldface are not
preserved for me. When I select Edit, Paste Special in Dreamweaver,
the "Text with structure plus basic formatting (bold, italic)" is
not selectable when the clipboard holds InDesign-origin text.
If I paste the same InDesign text into Word, the formatting
is preserved and if I then cut-and-paste from Word into
Dreamweaver, boldface and italics are preserved. But I don't want
to cut-and-paste everything twice!
Do others experience this too?

Apparently it is an issue with Leopard (and Illustrator)
Workarounds:
1) Export from InDesign as eps or PDF, or
2) Copy paste into Photoshop as a Smartobject, and then double click the layer to edit smart object (it will open in Illustrator)
I know, it's a pain.

Encrypted Pictures not readable after cut and past on my laptop

Hi,
I have cut and past my pictures from my BB Bold ans as they are encrypted (.rem) I cannot open the files in windows.
I see after that i have to use desktop manager to move the files and uncrypted them.
But now when i tried to move again the file ot my BB, the files are not recognized by the terminal ..
do you know if a method exist to be able to recover the pictures ?

If I read you correctly, you are describing the performance of BBOS and content protection (encryption) and not a malfunction.
Here is some information that should help you.
- if you copy and paste a file that is encrypted, it remains encrypted, as you found
- if the file is encrypted (.rem extension) and you use the desktop software to copy or sync, the copied file on the computer is not encrypted, as you found
- when you enable encryption, the files that are already on the SD card remain unencrypted, and only files that are written or modified after encryption is enabled will be encrypted (again, this is BBOS)
- I'm not sure about files in device storage memory, so you will need to test unless you look it up or someone answers, but I'm assuming when you enable content protection all of the files in this location will be encrypted
- for files that are encrypted (have .rem extension) if you disable content protection and then act on the file, the encryption will be undone (and .rem extension removed) -- acting on the file can be moving it, renaming it, etc -- and files that are encrypted and not acted upon while content protection is disabled will remain encrypted

Why am I not able to cut and paste to Microsoft Works anymore?

While using Internet Explorer I was able to copy off the internet and paste into my Microsoft Works word processing. I can no longer do that with Mozilla. I keep getting the answer "it exceeds the size limit" even if it's only one word.

You should be able to view both PDFs and Powerpoint attachments by tapping on them to download them and then open them. Without a separate app you can't then save them on the iPad, but you should be able to open and the read both of them in the Mail app.

Keypass. Skype wont allow a cut and paste from my ...

I don't use skype a lot, but it updated last night when I was opening the program. When I went to log in I opened keypass, my password generator, and clicked 'copy' then put the cursor over the password 'box' in skype and right clicked. Nothing happened. There was no menu at all, no option to paste or anything else. I tried about 10 times and finally had to change my password.
Very annoying and not very secure.

SAP not allowing to copy and paste from word documents

Hi gurus,
I am having the issue with the outbound Faxes from SAP. It fails with error code 816 saying
"Message cannot be transferred to node AVENTX due to connection error (final)"
I checked SM59 and it works fine. The configuration of the Fax Node looks good, Address Area "*"
And when I go to SOST and "Repeat Send" then it goes thru? Not sure what is that I am missing.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Can I cut and paste onto a photo?

Hi: I wish to paste, or superimpose, or put on a small pict on top of a another pict.
I used to do stuff like that in Appleworks (drawing)
But, can I do this in iphoto?

You can't do that with iPhoto as it is not really a graphic program. You can do it with PhotoShop or PS Elements or another graphic program.

Can't cut and paste in a web based e-mail service. (Not G-mail)

I belong to a membership site that is coaching me on e-mail marketing. I want to cut and paste different bits of information and ad links etc. to emails that I am sending out through the site.
For some reason, Firefox will not allow me to cut and paste when I am in this particular site??
I can cut and paste in Microsoft Word and other programs with no problem. But when I'm on this particular site it's no deal.
This is very frustrating. What can I do to resolve the problem.

I've had this happen a couple of times. Seems it just gets a bit borked sometimes.
Best thing to do is close Pages (or whatever), then do an iOS reset (hold power button then home button till screen goes blank and apple logo comes up and then let go).
Cut copy paste should work again as normal.

All the apps have to be in the iTunes library so the app data will have a place to go.
- Or just restore from iCloud backup. That will also pull down the apps from iCloud. Your apps data will also be restored.

Using windows7..I can not longer copy and paste, cut and paste. what happened?

Using windows 7, on a Compaq Presario, for a time now, I am not able to cut and paste, or copy and paste. Used to work by right click, highlite copy, got to word page and paste. I cannot get right click to bring this box up. What is happening?

I can't either. It is helpful when needing a link to send to a classmate via email. I also can't copy address bar because the complete adress no longer shows. I like XP. My Vista does better. This is a major problem when doing large papers 4 class. I use Son of Citation. You have to be able to copy paste. I have enough class work to do I don't need more...

If the right-click context menu allows copy/cut and paste with the two add-ons disabled, then one or both of them is causing the issue. Re-enable the extensions one-at-a-time, restart Firefox and test. When the problem returns, you will know which is the culprit.

Still cannot cut and paste - all instructions are way too technical for avg user trying to fix the problem. Need step by step instructions.

Firefox is not enabling me to cut and paste when I'm working on my business website. I can tried the key commands and they didn't work either. The instructions that were linked for Changing the preferences in Firefox were very complicated and even when I thought I found the correct place to add the user_pref lines to allow clipboard, the message was DO NOT MODIFY THIS PAGE.
I didn't want to add or change anything for fear of screwing this up.
What I need are step by step instructions. Really baby steps. How to find the profile and the js.file, what is text editor? If you could take instruct from start to finish that would be great.
